Ooft, wenches - it's crunchy out there! All white and crispy and cold, with a rather nice orangey sunrise. I have fed all the feathered things and de-iced the water. The birds are stuffing their little faces on the table, though they're probably spending as much energy chasing each other off the table than they're getting from the food. Also, the last of the season's apples are stewing on the hob - there are a few left still, but they are channelling their inner prune and trying to peel that level of rubberyness is too much like hard work. So they'll be chicken food.

Had a fun evening yesterday - let's just say there are drawbacks to having a fluffy-bottomed cat. Some scrubbing of carpets needed and a search round the house to discover if there were any other erm, nuggets, dropped. Also had to clip some fur off her.

Afternoon. Funeral was as lovely as it could be but it was soooooo cold. We were glad to get home.

I feel your pain wicked - we have a 'new' system which is way worse than the old one - the old one was clunky, but it worked. This is even more clunky and doesn't work.

In other news. Fuckity fuck fuck fcuk. I had a dentist appointment today and completely forgot. (Turns out that Thursday 17th is actually a Tuesday. Who knew? ) I'm going to have to eat humble pie tomorrow. (Sugar free of course!)

Took sodding ages to get to work. Didn’t look like any roads in my town, including the very busy bypass, had been gritted so that was a fun time for all. Got a few miles up the road and hurrah for cleared/gritted roads. Much better on the way home, but my street is still quite snowy/icy but that’s not unexpected.

Really busy at work covering work for staff on leave. Fortunately the work is interesting and the person sending it through is lovely and very appreciative. Still have our own work to do though so bit tired.
