Evening. All the good weather was here, sorry. Well, by good I mean not raining. FancyMan and I went for a short walk and tested my new binoculars. Some robins obliged by being visible. And then one mocked me by serenading me from a road sign so close that I didn't need to use them.

All furniture now back in the Morecambe and Wise suite and bedding being washed ready to put back on, very pleased with the decorating so far. Am also looking for a few new pics for the room.

A Tuesday would actually be more than acceptable this week Helen as I have a day’s leave tomorrow - DS2 has an appointment but once that’s done, the day is miiiiiiine.

I imagine the mocking robin to be like the roller skating pandas in that tv ad from years ago, perhaps doing a little dance using its wings to do the Macarena or something.

Morning all. there has been a blush of pink to the clouds this morning - lots of high floaty one. But it's faded now and <peers> there's a band of deep orange on the horizon just now, waiting for the sun to actually appear. It might develop into something rather spectacular, or it might not.

I am tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiired. DH spent most of the night telling me he couldn't get to sleep (that's how it feel anyway). Needless to say, he's still in bed. I'm waiting for it to be light enough to feed chickens, then I'm going to carry on mooching o nline go back to bed for half an hour or so. Though, thinking about it, DH has pinched all the duvet, so maybe not much point.

DS2’s appointment went well, I got chores done except the ironing and made good progress with knitting the blanket. Also finally started The Ink Black Heart. Excellent. So all in all, a lovely day if you ignore the weather. Back to reality tomorrow though.

Work seemed to be mostly helping other people with their work rather than getting on with my own. Plus the usual last minute rush from a certain client........ Shouldn't moan too much though as the new assistant is certainly cracking through her work at pace.

We had the binmen today apricot - I though they were a day late, but apparently it was scheduled and they're still catching up from Xmas.

Bit of a disaster with the laundry. I thought I'd put the powder and conditioner in the machine for the next wash after the last one, but I hadn't and only discovered it after the wash finished, so had to start all over again.

I’ve done similar with laundry Apricot. Thought I was being very efficient, feeling a bit smug, looked over at the washing machine and there was the little tub of laundry liquid sitting on the worktop.

Busy at work, then rushing around at home after early finish, then college thing for DS2. Back’s hurting and I think I’d like an early night.

Haven't we all done that with the laundry? (I've been known to shrug and decide that it was clean enough anyway #slattern )

I have had one of those days when you just pend the entire day wading through emails and not actually doing much from the 'to do' list. If only our 'to do' lists at work were as enticing as the ones in the Tav. <illustrates>

Today was....well it was a work day. Unspectacular. Was at a mercifully local client, so a quick commute & home at a reasonable time. Decorator has clearly been busy as I now have two freshly painted bathrooms
