Morning wenches. Sunrise was fairly golden today - the bit I saw anyway. I woke up feeling a bit bleurgh, and then realised that I didn't have any tea (not counting the chocolate I chomped my way through) so I've got a bowl of porridge and hope that eating it will settle my stomach.

I like how Misty is surveying her domain. I think she's just looked at all the presents behind her going "That's mine, and so that's, and that one, and that one there, and that one..."

I slept horrendously badly last night, and have had a family beach walk this afternoon. So I am now utterly shattered and dozing on the sofa with Intelligent cat on my lap. DF has got dogs again, so we took them with us. They are sandy coloured, and we can never let them off the lead at the beach for fear of not being able to find them again. It would be like those pictures people put on twitter sometimes, of a pebbly landscape telling you to spot the nearly-bloody-invisible-to-the-point-of-you-wondering-if-it's-a-hoax Leopard. I need to wake myself up a bit though - if I fall asleep now my sleep patterns will be trashed and I'll have another awful night.

I stayed awake yesterday buy browsing online and buying clothes that I don't actually need . Still - Christmas money has now been spent, and the clothes can go back if they don't fit.

Slept better last night, but still tired (as ever). Today we have a trip to see the inlaws, which DH confirmed with them on Xmas Eve. MiL phoned yesterday and asked if we were coming to visit over xmas/new year

Unfortunately all the Elks bar babyelk have been struck down with a hideous chest infection and we're all staggering between doses of paracetamol and brufen at the moment. Had my Dsis and kids here for Christmas day, which was gruelling as she's of the "push on through' and fuck all sympathy mentality. No one has the energy to pay Labradoodleelk any attention, so she's mostly been eating my shoes (including a wincingly expensive pair)

Afternoon all. We've had a lovely couple of days, but I'm totally knackered today. DH is still in trouble with his tooth and now on antibiotics.

Poor DS went to the caravan this morning for the rest of the week, but having turned the water on found there were leaks all over the place. All the taps were left open after they left last time but it made no difference. DH did warn him because of the cold snap. He's had to come home again. DH will sort it out in the New Year.

DD and I are back home, it was a lovely Christmas thank god as it was fucking expensive lots of eating, drinking, chatting, games and quizzes. Am knackered 😆FancyCat seems pretty much back to normal thanks which was a relief. She is sitting on me now and passes on her thanks for your concern for her.

I hope FamilyElk are on the mend, one of my colleagues ended up in hospital with a chest infection last week, and that was a fit young chap - there really are some awful bugs going around.

How was the visit Helen? We had similar this year, my step mum's short term memory has really declined. With my DC spending next Christmas with their dad and it getting more complicated getting all the GCs together, this could be the last year she will be able to cope with a full family gathering.

DS2 got up at 10 yesterday! Unheard of for him. Didn’t do much yesterday so today will be a day of action(ish).

Morning all. It's miserable outside - rain/wind/cloud. Also cold. I should put some socks on with my slippers. DS is still asleep - or not emerged from his room yet. This is good because it means his airbed hasn't gone down (too much) overnight.

Visit is ongoing, was woken by the bin men at 8am, and then lay in bed thinking about how the spare bed here is smaller and less comfortable than ours, before I admitted defeat and got up. Today we are going out for lunch and there are no other plans other than jigsaws and lego. I also did most of a sudoko this morning, then rubbed it all out again. <rolls eyes at self>

Morning, being very lazy today - FancyMan is coming over later, was hoping to go for a walk but it looks evil out there.

Watched episode 1, series 2 with DD last night. Rochefort already being annoying and Dog needs a slap. Some excellent Athos snark though and Aramis looking hot and speaking Spanish, so all's good.

Windy and rainy here too. Jigsaws and Lego sounds an excellent way to spend the day.
