Bounty, yuk 🤢 You can have mine too Fancy

LetUsPrey · 03/11/2022 21:48

Evening wenches.

DH eats the Bounties in this house, but I’d send them to you Fancy.

Your method of tidying sounds much like mine Helen.

I second the pootling day idea.

Work was particularly crap.

Realised I’d gone a bit wrong on the knitting I started the other day so I was very very cross with myself. I’ve undone it all and started again.

Watched the gymnastics which was very exciting.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 03/11/2022 22:52

We watched 'Cunk on Earth' talking about how, in the early 20th Century, we discovered that Women could do anything men could, without having to talk about it 😂.

LetUsPrey · 04/11/2022 07:34

Morning wenches.

Ah Philomena that was indeed a stunning revelation Grin and something which baffles even the greatest minds to this day.

Dry but rather chilly. Cars look a bit frosty.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 04/11/2022 08:31

Morning all, chilly here too but, wet rather than frosty.

ApricotCrush · 04/11/2022 16:35

Afternoon. Sunny but chilly here too.

Shame about going wrong with the knitting LetUs. I do that because I think I can multitask whilst knitting. I can’t. Hmm

Have a nice time with your friend Helen.

Wine for all.

Evening wenches.

Turned out to be a bit more than looking frosty this morning. Properly scraping ice of the windscreen.

Going wrong this time was my own stupidity at thinking I remembered how to do a certain stitch and just doing it, when really I should have watched a YouTube video to refresh my memory which would have taken barely any time at all.

Work was bonkers busy so tonight I plan to do nothing except watch the gymnastics.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 04/11/2022 23:28

FML, I have worked a 12 hour day - 9am to 9pm with a couple of hours-worth of breaks scattered throughout. As a result, I've done nothing but work and wash/tidy stuff.

Fingers crossed for knitting not going off piste again!

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 05/11/2022 09:37

Morning all. It was a chilly night, though nowhere approaching frost, and now it's dry and sunny, (but wet underfoot). I have no plans.

LetUsPrey · 05/11/2022 12:08

Morni… Afternoon wenches.

No plans sounds a good idea after yesterday Helen, although Athos says he has some ideas.

Eye test this morning - no changes so hurrah. Bit of shopping done. General housework stuff done whilst shimmying along to various disco songs.

ApricotCrush · 05/11/2022 16:41

Afternoon. Rather a miserable day.

I went to a local garden centre with DD earlier and bought two pairs of shoes from their rather lovely clothing department. She's a bad influence. Hmm

Good news about the eye test LetUs, new glasses are so expensive.

Have a good evening all.

Evening wenches.

Our local garden centre has a rather lovely clothing department too. Two new pairs of shoes is an extra treat.

Optician/ophthalmologist said only a tiny change, nothing needs changing. Do you want to look at frames anyway? Why?! Er no thank you.

Have watched gymnastics and knitted. Also drunk vodka and watched Strictly. Bit tired now but I’ve put a late wash on so it can be dry in time for ironing tomorrow.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 05/11/2022 21:55

Evening. Not terribly nice weather here, but not too bad. I have pootled and stuff.

Impromptu shoe shopping sounds fun, and hurrah for not needing new glasses.

Stumbled across an interview with TB today at www.theguardian.com/culture/2022/oct/30/tom-burke-the-souvenir-the-wonder-strike-alan-rickman
He's in cinema in 'Living' at the moment, and then in 'The Wonder' in a couple of weeks as well.

In other news, we have fireworks going off somewhere locally, and I'm tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiired...

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 06/11/2022 07:36

Morning all. Rainy. rain, rain, rain. Guess who is committed to being at OutdoorSportingActivity today Confused #DrownedRat, etc.

Have a good day all, and stay drier than I think I'll be!

LetUsPrey · 06/11/2022 10:25

Morning wenches.

I suggest a long hot shower afterwards Helen, or a bath, either or both with Athos.

Usual Sunday stuff which today seems to be accompanied by a headache.

FancyFancy · 06/11/2022 10:40

Morning. Woke up earlier than I wanted - had my covid booster yesterday and have a sore arm and my legs and my head feel very tired. Am cross with myself for forgetting bread when I went to the shops yesterday so will have to go out <peers at gloomy weather>

ApricotCrush · 06/11/2022 16:55

Afternoon. Rain here too. We'ved just been out to lunch with DD & Co. so I don't have to cook. Hurrah!

As well as the usual sore arm I felt very tired the day after my covid booster Fancy which is unusual for me.

That's a nice TB interview Helen, he's everywhere at the moment. Hope you didn't get too wet.

Also hope LetUs's headache has gone.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 06/11/2022 17:12

Why is the weekend always over so fast?

LetUsPrey · 06/11/2022 17:22

Evening wenches.

Rain on and off all day. Ironing done but there’s now a load of laundry to distribute/put away. Had to take DS2 for new trainers - always a favourite task. Watching the last day of the gymnastics. Headache did go but is sort of lingering a little bit in the background.

Was going to call in for my booster at a walk in centre on the way to work on Friday but I’m out Friday night and then we’re hoping to take DS2 to watch the new Black Panther film on Saturday and I don’t want to risk feeling crap. Also don’t want to go earlier in the week and risk having to take time off work. Obviously I may be perfectly okay.

Hope you’re soon feeling better Fancy,

Hurrah for not having to cook Apricot and for a nice family meal out.

No idea Wicked, but it’s completely unacceptable.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 06/11/2022 22:23

Evening all.

Umbrellas and waterproofs and pop-up gazebos are a good thing. (Though not so much the gazebos if they haven't been secured and it's windy Confused ) I like your suggestions LetUs re. shower/bath/Athos Grin

I hope everyone else managed to stay dry though, and that Fancy got bread and LetUs's headache has FTFO. I must check when my covid booster is booked in for (and hope if doesn't have any side-effects).

LetUsPrey · 07/11/2022 07:45

Morning wenches.

I’ve decided Monday can feck off already and it’s not even done anything yet.

Hope you’re feeling better today Fancy.

Seems dry outside but quite breezy.

Have excellent days wenches.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 07/11/2022 07:53

Morning all.

Outside is very dank, but there's nothing falling from the sky, so hurrah. We had an inch yesterday, according to the rain gauge.

KillerKitty is being an idiot this morning. Jumps up asking for cuddles, and then turns into a fighty monster, and repeat... No idea what's wrong with him other than he wants to kill the nearest thing to hand, and also be loved. (Not that different to wenches when our patience is being tested really Hmm Grin)

I vote for a lock-in and we can send our clones out to deal with Monday.
<crawls back into hayloft>

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 07/11/2022 13:42

Weather update - rain.

Also, I've checked my wardrobe, and TB is not everywhere. Most disappointing Wink

ApricotCrush · 07/11/2022 16:15

Afternoon. Rain on and off here and rather miserable.

DH has gone to A&E. Shock He had bad chest pain in the night. I gave him a Rennie and it went. He played golf this morning but says his chest feels tight and in view of his family history on both sides he's panicking. He phoned the GP and rather than ask him to go in for an ECG as we would have done when I worked at a GP surgery, they told him to go to A&E! No wonder the NHS is in such a state. Goodness knows when he'll be back.

Sorry TB wasn't in your wardrobe Helen. It's just not good enough. Wink

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 07/11/2022 18:38

Oh no Apricot! I hope that MrA is ok and doesn't have to wait for hours to be seen. Everything crossed, and <cwtches>

DH has spent today feeling rather sorry for himself due to overenthusiastic participation in a wine (and gin and whisky) tasting event. My sympathy is muted. Hmm Visiting Friend went with him, but wasn't so thorough in his efforts to taste everything, so was perfectly capable of driving home this morning.
