Evening wenches. Am out out being astonished at amazing gymnastics.

Boooo to rain and mud.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 30/10/2022 22:27

Evening all.

I am cat-vom twins with you today Fancy <side-eyes at IntelligentCat>

The dream was very upsetting at the time, but now I can laugh at it a bit, since it was utterly bonkers in the cold light of day. DS was a matchstick-sized toddler, and was carried to a funeral on a toy train, sort of like the wooden brio ones, but maybe smaller, and it had a bit of a derailment on route. (We were normal sized as well, to add to the WTF-ness!) It appeared to be a joint funeral with one of my friends who decided halfway through that actually he wasn't dead. So, I mean - really?! FMSubconscious!

This evening we watched Sixth Sense with DS, who didn't know the twist and was absolutely delighted by it, and by how the film was structured so that the twist was obvious is you knew what you were watching, but also completely not obvious if you weren't looking for it.

Our weather cleared up in the afternoon, so I also had a walk, and it was muddy and wet. <hoses down shoes with apricot>

Back to school tomorrow. urgh... oh well.

LetUsPrey · 31/10/2022 07:42

Morning wenches.

Rather knackered this morning.

That is super weird Helen. Sixth Sense does have a good twist which astonishingly I spotted part way through. I never normally spot stuff like that. On a different slant, I’m going to try DS2 on Father Ted. DS1 wasn’t keen as I recall, but DS2 has loved Ghosts so we’ll give it a try.

Best get going.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 31/10/2022 08:05

Morning. There's a heavy dew outside and it's sunny and not cold.

I'm knackered too, and have a scintillating admin day today, which won't help me feel any perkier [yawn]

DS enjoyed Father Ted, but not enough to ask to keep watching it (we watched about 3 episodes from the DVD set that I've got). I should try again, but having got Disney+, he's now obsessed with watching all the random Star Wars offshoots. <le sigh>

Have a good day all.

ApricotCrush · 31/10/2022 16:26

Afternoon. It’s been a nice day, not cold. I went to Lidl this morning, loads of the shelves were empty. I don’t think Monday is a good day to go.

Never watched Sixth Sense, but love Father Ted.

It’s getting dark already. Hate it. Sad

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 31/10/2022 17:42

It’s so daaaaark. I want to hibernate and wake up at spring.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 31/10/2022 18:50

Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaark.

That is all.

LetUsPrey · 31/10/2022 19:54

Evening wenches.

Yep, dark leaving work today and I really don’t like driving in the dark. Can’t be helped though so <shrug> <crosses fingers for significant lottery win>

Realised that although DS2 has watched all the series of Ghosts, he hadn’t seen the Christmas episodes so we’ve watched one of those.

We’ve only had two lots of trick or treaters. It did start absolutely chucking it down so perhaps that put them off.

I really must have an early night.

FancyFancy · 31/10/2022 22:15

Evening. Managed a lovely walk with FancyMan today at a place I've never been to before. Fabulous views and some 4,000 year old barrows as a bonus. We even picnicked, it was that warm bit windy though

After we got back it tipped down again so the washing got another drenching.

LetUsPrey · 01/11/2022 07:37

Morning wenches.

That walk sounds wonderful Fancy.

More rain here. Am contemplating getting a water pistol to encourage DS2 to get out of bed.

There is a fly buzzing round the kitchen. Why are there still flies? It’s November. Go away.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 01/11/2022 07:41

Morning all. It's very windy and KillerKitty doesn't quite know what to do with himself - he's just tried to insert himself into a CD shelf Hmm. He's just emerged from behind the sofa with a big huff and is trying to kill a fly now, and has foudn a poor bloody spindly-leg psider to kill. Oh dear...
<looks away>
At least it's not raining through, in fact it's quite nice and sunny.

That sounds like a nice day out Fancy* - it's stupidly warm for the time of year - I don't mind from a 'not feeling cold' viewpoint, but I'm going out to feed the chickens in PJs/Dressing Gown, and crocs <entices passing HBFs> I'd expect to be in wellies at the very least by now. <le worried sigh>

Work-wise, it's a repeat of yesterday.

Have a good day all.

ApricotCrush · 01/11/2022 17:00

Afternoon. Chucking it down here.

We didn’t get any trick or treaters which was good as I didn’t have any goodies. I would have had to open the tub of Celebrations I’ve bought for Christmas. We don’t have any children round here anyway.

I agree about hibernating until Spring WW. Sad

LetUsPrey · 01/11/2022 19:03

Evening wenches.

If KillerKitty gets bored, he can come here and try to get these bastard flies.

Rain from about 2pm and not stopped since. Was intending to go shopping tonight but rain and couldn’t be bothered.

<sidles into Apricot’s pantry> <nae>
<opens tub of Celebrations>
<grabs a handful> <also nae>

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 01/11/2022 21:11

Evening all. It's been rain/sun/rain/sun all day here, with wind and rain and a bit of thunder.

Work has been somewhat annoying - people agreeing to one thing, and then trying to change what they agreed to. <CBF> (deliberate capitals to indicate enhanced levels of annoyance)

LetUsPrey · 02/11/2022 07:32

Morning wenches.

They deserve that level of CBF Helen.

Rain again. Don’t want to go to work again. Is about time I got a grip <nae>

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 02/11/2022 07:34

Morning wenches. Clear and cold start to the day - just at the edge of needing to wear wellies (if I could be bothered). KillerKitty mooched about mewing pathetically, then ran up a tree and then did his 'African lion on the plains' yowl to warn all local wildlife that he was up there being an apex predator. I left him to it.

Off to BoringOfficeJob so I need to get my backside in gear and out the door...

ApricotCrush · 02/11/2022 17:09

Afternoon. Nice morning but horrible afternoon, pouring down and very windy. I went out for my covid booster and nearly got blown away.

Well, I have the remains of my computer back and it is well and truly dead. Sad PC guy has managed to save all my documents but not the huge amount of family photos for this year. I can recover them but it's a matter of going through phones, WhatsApp threads and people's Facebooks and collating them all. So, big job but not a disaster.

I now have to think of getting a new PC. Has anyone got Windows 11 and if so what's it like? Son-in-Law hates it but he's a business so it's a different matter.

Aww at KillerKitty yowling up a tree.

<hides Celebrations from LetUs>

LetUsPrey · 02/11/2022 19:31

Evening wenches.

Fuck me, the rain. Poor DS2 was soaked when he got home and he’s only got a quick walk home from school.

Loving I am KillerKitty here me roar!

Sad at the computer Apricot. Thank goodness you’ve not lost anything though. Can’t help re computers I’m afraid.

Watching the gymnastics. Not going terribly well at the moment.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 02/11/2022 20:04

Watched Father Ted today, haven’t watched that in ages Grin

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 02/11/2022 21:41

Evening all.

I've got Windows 11 apricot - it's not a big deal as far as I can tell to be honest. What a pain about having to track down all your photos Sad

It hasn't been too wet here today, but lots of wind <nlt> and it has started raining now. DH has gone out to SportingActivity in it Confused Both cats are sensibly curled up inside.

Work was busy - lots of "Oh, now you're back, can you just...", so this week's going to be fun while I try to get two weeks' worth done in one. Hmm

Will you be having some tea Wicked? Grin

LetUsPrey · 03/11/2022 07:40

Morning wenches.

Am in a grump this morning. Not raining though so I suppose that’s a good thing.

That reminds me - must see if Father Ted’s available for DS2 to watch.

Ah work that waits for you because obviously no one else could possibly do it whilst you’re not there Helen <passes flamethrower>

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 03/11/2022 07:45

Morning. I think we have all the rain here LetUs #Drenched

Much tidying is going on here in preparation for a visit from cat-allergy friend. <le sigh> Well, I say 'much preparation' it's mostly me moving things from one pile of disorganised rubbish to another and feeling rather overwhelmed by it all. Sad Still, that's 24 hours away still.
<sticks fingers in ears, closes eyes, wanders off in denial>

FancyFancy · 03/11/2022 13:13

Afternoon, back at work <sighs>

Haven't really done too much over the last few days, just pootling really, although did go out for dinner on Tuesday with DC which was nice.

Celebrations? Apparently they are trialling boxes with no Bounty bars. FFS, there's always loads of those left for me to scoff because of all the haterz, I hope they don't do that for all boxes.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 03/11/2022 16:00

LOL - I can live without the Bounty chocolates, so all good for me. Not that I bother those these days, I just mostly want unadulterated chocolate Grin

It's stopped raining here now, thank goodness, and I've been carpet cleaning. All the rock'n'roll excitement for me Hmm

I think we should all have an assigned 'pootling' day a week - at least one. And that can't come out of the weekend, so we all need to drop a days work (though not the wages.) When wenches rule the world...

ApricotCrush · 03/11/2022 16:01

Afternoon. Sunny day but I haven't been out.

Thanks Helen, I suppose I'll have to bite the bullet and go for Windows 11. When's Black Friday? <googles> Ah, 25th. I might hang on until then.

You're welcome to the Bounties in the Celebrations tub Fancy if there are any. I don't like them.
