I went to see a friend, slipped on her decking, and went flying onto the concrete patio, knees first - FML, etc. Still, it gives me an excuse to sit one the sofa with my legs up, doing nothing. I suspect that there will be some hobbling tomorrow.

Feeling a bit headachey and flushed so I’m wondering if a vodka an early night would help.

I think that sounds like a good idea LetUs Dr Aramis has suggestions to help with your headache, though thinks you may end up even more flushed.

FML. I wrote a post and added decoration, which took so long to load that I went to look at another tab. And then Sodding Edge decided to hiberate the MN tab and I lost the lot again. FML.

It's raining. My knee's a bit bruised but not disastrous. I am having a National Trust outing today <side-eyes the rain>. That was the essence of my last post (which was full of sparkling wit which is now lost to the world).

If the HBFs had been here, I’m sure I’d have felt much better. As it is, I’m feeling quite achey and tired. Not sure I could have coped with a gif either.

I have been cleaning and pottering in the garden today, now sorting a few bills and then relaxing.

We had all the thunder here. All of it. Was quite impressive for the time of year, including some forked lightning.

We had thunder and lightning too this evening. And lots of rain on and off, but I didn't get too wet at the National Trust. Knees seem to be ok as well.

Nothing much going on, I've been listing DD's old clothes on various selling sites. We've got DGS all day tomorrow and we're taking him to a fairy local aircraft museum. He's been before but we havent so he can show us around.

Evening all. It's been quite nice weather here - no rain and a bit of sun. I've mosly been doing the work thing, with a side-order of a visit from a friend with a lunchtime walk.

Afternoon. It’s been a nice day, quite warm and sunny.

We took DGS to the local RAF Museum. Never been there before. It’s huge and it was interesting. And yes, there was a cafe where we had lunch.

I’m also being a cat bed now.

Glad the RAF museum was fun and miniminiApricot had a good time (and that there was a cafe!) I had a very nice soup at the National Trust cafe on Sunday. Hurrah for cafes!

Work has been busy with last minute requests. Tomorrow will be the same I think.

I would like to be a cat bed at the moment, but lots of loud fireworks are going off, so FancyCat has taken herself off to hide under a bed. She's not bothered except when they get very loud. Which these ones are.

KillerKitty demanded cuddles when I came downstair, and is now outside somewhere, convinced that it's worth stalking a squirrel. The squirrel was last seen scurrying through the branches of a hawthorn, and while KillerKitty is good at climbing trees, he's not a squirrel. So, he's out there not catching a squirrel.

Poor FancyCat. Misty is very nervous, but we haven’t had any really loud fireworks yet so I don’t know how she’ll react.

I’m going for ‘brunch’ tomorrow morning with DD, the three DGC and ex-DIL. I haven’t seen her for 8 years. She and DS have been at each other’s throats since then but they have decided to grow up and bury the hatchet, so we’re all trying to mend fences.
