Morning all. it's daaaaaaaark but getting lighter. Also a bit cloudy. There is a wasp in the kitchen but I can't be arsed with trying to catch it, and I'm debating about whether to get DH in on the dentist phone lottery while I'm driving to work...

KillerKitty is outside being mad - running up trees and suchlike. Chickens are still asleep. Sensible/lucky chickens.

LetUsPrey · 19/10/2022 07:40

Morning wenches.

Pity about the lack of developing superpowers Helen - you’d look smashing in spandex Grin

Good luck with the dentist.

Also have dentist appointment for check up after work, then another college open evening which will take longer to get to and we’ll spend around 10 minutes there I suspect.

Perhaps ScaredyCat has watched lots of episodes of Ghosts and has come back as. GhostCat.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 19/10/2022 16:08

I’m also going to the dentist today Confused

ApricotCrush · 19/10/2022 16:31

Afternoon. Nice day but I haven’t been out.

How weird about the dentists! Confused Sadly I can’t join in as my appointment is next Wednesday. Hope Helen managed to see hers.

Nothing from PC guy. I’m doing stuff on DH’s laptop but it’s soooooo slow.

Evening wenches.

Work wasn’t too bad and it’s an early finish today.

That’s very weird about dentist syncing! All was fine with my check up.

Another college open evening today - just on our way now. It would be helpful if DS2 would actually communicate about what he wants but there we are.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 19/10/2022 19:35

All fine with my check up too, my dentist sad that I was not really a good customer for then because my teeth are so good 😂

I have my dentist in another town so had to drive there and of course I got lost on my way home, it’s pitch black outside so I took a wrong exit and ended up on a motorway, panicked a bit but managed to get back on track eventually. I really don’t like driving in the dark.

FancyFancy · 19/10/2022 20:25

Love the idea of GhostCat Grin Suspect FancyCat wouldn't though, she likes having me all to herself.

<puts out Wine for letus for after the open evening>
<thinks>
<puts out vodka Cake and some more vodka>

Did you try the dentist lottery for DH helen?

Am in agreement about spiders - the big brown ones can fro. They go outside immediately. The spindly ones are allowed to stay as they behave themselves & mostly just hang around near the ceiling. There are quite a few in my bathroom - I have to check the shower before turning the water on as I don't want to wash any away <eyerolls at self> Occasionally they climb down from the ceiling during my shower to drink water from the tiles - it's entertainment of sorts, there's not much else to do when showering Grin

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 19/10/2022 22:04

Evening all.

I did get DH to play dentist lottery, and blow me if he didn't get me an appointment! I'm going to get him to organise all my medical appointments from now on. I now have a nice patched up tooth and my smile is like Jaws from James Bond radiant. (The tooth is second from back so actually you can't see the filling.) How odd that we had a trio of dentist appointments today.

LOL at the spider entertainment ChezFancy, glad that wicked got home safely, and hope that LetUs got on ok at the college open evening - heaven forbid that our DCs should communicate anything helpful like that!

I have had a nice solo cinema trip to see Emily (good film), which also had a trailer for Living - definitely looking forward to that next month. Now I need to find a decent 'Brontes' biography to read.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 20/10/2022 07:26

Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaark. Tiiiiiiiiiiiired. Wiiiiiiiiiiiinge.
That's all really.
<crawls back to bed>

LetUsPrey · 20/10/2022 08:32

Morning wenches.

Hurrah for another Wench at the dentist Helen!

I’ll look those films up.

Rain here. I’d rather not go to work but it appears to be unavoidable.

<throws HBFs over Helen>

ApricotCrush · 20/10/2022 16:44

Afternoon. Horrible day, rain all day.

DD came round this afternoon to sort through a huge bag of clothes that she left here when she moved out 18 years ago. She’s taken three items and left the rest for me to eBay.

Yay for three successful dentist visits.

I hate driving in the dark too WW. That sounds scary.

Do we know how big a part TB has in Living? I think I’ll have to wait for it to come on TV.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 20/10/2022 18:29

Looks like you have some drama over there?

LetUsPrey · 20/10/2022 18:45

Evening wenches.

Little bit of drama yes Wicked Grin

Rubbish day at work with headache all afternoon which I’d hoped would miraculously disappear at 5pm but it lingered so I’ve thrown paracetamol at it and will have a bath later.

Driving in the dark especially on an unknown route also gives me the aarrrgghhh.

“Do we know how big a part TB has in Living?” There’s the wench answer to this Apricot which I’m sure you can guess at Grin

ApricotCrush · 20/10/2022 20:00

Grin LetUs. Yes I thought that when I typed it!

OP posts:
SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 20/10/2022 20:42

at 'part size' He's in the trailer a couple of times, so hopefully it's not too fleeting. Though IMDB doesn't list him in the main cast list.

We've had rain too - quite a lot. I have been digging out drains <le sigh> and planning a solution, in between working!

Hope that the headache has FTFO LetUs

Agreed, driving in the dark is tedious, especially in a strage place.

LetUsPrey · 21/10/2022 07:50

Morning wenches.

Blaaaaaaaahhhh today even considering it’s Friday.

You’ve got an alternative career (as if you need one) as a drainage engineer Helen.

Suppose I’d better get a move on. Feel the enthusiasm.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 21/10/2022 09:30

Morning. Busy busy busy, etc. (I managed to pack in posting a birthday card/bike rise and stewing up fruit before work. Then ate breakfast at my desk because I'm not that efficient.)
<clones all wenches and send them out to work>
<hides in Tav with HBFs and wenches>

ApricotCrush · 21/10/2022 16:34

Afternoon. The day started reasonably warm with a gentle breeze, so I pegged a wash load on the line. I’d no sooner finished than it started pouring down, so I had to get it all in. It went nice again later but I cba to put it out again.

I’ve got to bid on a golf club on eBay for DH later. <wibble>

Hope everyone’s had a good or at least reasonable day.

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 21/10/2022 19:27

Evening wenches.

Tiiiirrrreeeddddddddd. Even more tired reading your list of activities Helen.

That’s the thing when it brightens up again after you bring in still wet washing - can’t be bothered putting it out again. Hope the bidding went well Apricot.

I had a few things I wanted to do once I’d got in from work but then I made the mistake of sitting down.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 21/10/2022 21:42

Evening all. TFI and all that.

Hope that Apricot has won the golf club (and that the washing dried). We've had some fairly ominous looking clouds, but no actual rain here today.

Work has been workish and involved spreadsheets and reports and other tedious things.

LetUs - the HBFs say that you can just sit there and you don't even need to tell them what needs doing because they're all imaginary perfect and can get on with things without constantly asking what to do (or telling you what they're doing).

FancyFancy · 21/10/2022 22:58

Evening

Drama? that's very politely put ww. What we actually have is a shitshow. A clusterfuck.

Am pooped, work, more work. Disorganised clients and unreliable colleagues. Well one.

<drinks beer>

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 21/10/2022 23:23

<Tops up drinks>
<Mutters about Trussterfuck>
<pours more drink>

LetUsPrey · 22/10/2022 09:10

Morning wenches.

<takes all work stuff, throws it in the dungeon, locks it all in>

That would be lovely Helen, particularly the part where there’s no constant fucking commentary of boring tasks.

I’ve come to the conclusion that even though Fancy and I don’t work at the same place, it very much sounds like we do so I demand that that happens. Thank you.

Have done a trip to Argos and then been for flu jab. Dishes done and washing about to finish. DS2 has even done some homework. I’m thinking jigsaw and knitting for the rest of the day, which won’t happen but it sounds nice.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 22/10/2022 12:02

Morning all (just about). I have fed animals, and myself and had a lie-in and that's about it. It's warm and sunny outside and there are plenty of things I should be doing.

<sits on sofa, doing nothing>

ApricotCrush · 22/10/2022 17:42

Evening. It gets dark early, doesn't it? It'll be even worse next week. The washing from yesterday is dry after being inside, but the load from today was still damp when I fetched it in. I think I'm going to have to return to radiator drying.

We won the golf club but couldn't really fail as he put a high maximum on it.

Latest on the saga of the PC. He's found the folder with all the photos in but can't open it. Sad He's ordered some fancy software which he thinks will do the trick. Hmm

Have a lovely evening all.
