Work has mostly been busy, hopping between different projects. FFS at having to wait around for replies LetUs

The weather has been nice here today, which may mean it's going to be cold tonight. I might head for a hot bath too, though not with the new Strike because that's just stupidly heavy. Can someone get JKR an editor please, they can edit out all the unnecessary exposition and halve the size of the book? I don't really need detailed descriptions of the ladies in a bar where they're drinking

But first it will work my way through all the worlde-type things. Duotrigordle(?) is fun!

Very grey today but it’s Friday so whatever. Have wonderful wenchy days.

Morning all. The weather here is a re-run of yesterday, but with more mist, so what started off looking like a misty golden haze turned into a grey unispiring one. The sun's doing its best to break through, but not there yet.

My Duotrigorwdle breakthrough last night was realising that if I click on one specific part, it shows me the letters for just that one - which is a bit handier when you're down to the 20th guess and scrolling up and down to work out what is and isn't a 'hit'

Today I have been smearing vaseline all over HBFs chicken feet because they are showing symptoms of scaly mite. One of them's actually in quite a bad way, but hasn't let me get close enough to catch until today. so that's been my morning. I'm just sitting down for some food now. I may have done the chicken/breakfast thing in the wrong order, but ho hey ho.

Evening. It's foul outside - wind and rain. Brrr. BewilderedKitten wants to go out, but wants nothing to do with the weather, which is clearly my fault (judging from the disgusted looks I'm getting!).

We had sunshine here and then just as DH was lacing up his trainers for his run it started chucking it down. Shame.

Today is haircut, shopping, homework, washing, knitting, Strictly.

Morning, sunny here but also very windy. I will need to do a bit of work today to catch up from yesterday - the software I needed to use yesterday afternoon just froze towards the end of the day and so I finished work early as I couldn't do anything productive.

I did a load of batch cooking in the week - since DS moved out it makes much more sense as meal planning is much easier with just me so I've been planning on starting that for far too long a while. Have a satisfyingly full freezer now 😊

Afternoon all. We have sun and a stuff breeze here. PLanty of rain overnight though - I hear rumours of 16mm. I managed to get back to sleep after the manshapes went out for the day, and then woke up in time to go and see Dnephew playing football locally. So I went out and caught the last half hour - Family Bonus Points achieved Ther are many things I need to do today - collect windfalls for one, fix the latest gutter issue, cook a stew for tea. On current form I will sit and dither and do none

I'm very impressed with batch cooking - our freezer is full too, but I have no idea what's lurking in the depths, apart from copious quantities of fruit! Hope that there's not too much work done though

I haven’t started reading the new Strike novel yet, feels lika all I do is work.

No work this weekend though so managed to sort through all my things, still boxes everywhere, made good progress today 👍

On the couch now, watching Line of Duty, drinking 🍷 and stuffing my face with cheese doodles.

Oh, and had the weirdest dream, Adrian Dunbar was in it and I did searches on Google Maps but couldn’t find places I knew existed, I was very frustrated. Too much Line of Duty perhaps?

Excellent bonkers dream wicked I've had a few recently, but forgotten them soon after waking up, which is fine for the unpleasant ones, but annoying for the amusing ones. Though then dreams where you can't find something are always annoying.

On the subject of tying down, the HBFs would like to remind wenches that they're happy to help

I've spent the day stewing apple, basically. Whoop And cooking tea.

Bright and sunny here. Usual Sunday beckons with some added minor anxiety nestling in my stomach. This may be linked with DS2 who’s trying his best with his homework but doesn’t seem to remember any of the stuff he’s been taught. I’m currently sitting here crying at The Croods. Need to get off the settee and do stuff. I’ll feel better once I’m on the move.

I have been out stripping.... wallpaper with a friend. No HBFs involved even though it was steamy. Double-entendres aside, I've never used a steam for stripping wallpaper before - just a sponge and hot water. What a revelation - it was so much easier!

DH and DS are out being sporty; DS is on the podium, so they will have to stay to the bitter end for medals. This means I will be in charge of cooking - or a takeaway if I head out again to see how they're getting on.

Well done to MiniHelen! And you should absolutely go and see how they’re getting on which has nothing to do with getting a takeaway. I remember hiring a steamer machine for removing wallpaper many years ago when I lived alone. DH remains unconvinced so I let him crack on with his sponge and scraper when we decorate.

Had an early bath and have been in pyjamas since 4.

Evening - sounds like my spare room & the garage apricot, was meant to be my lock down project - sorting them out. Didn't happen.

Have been pottering in the garden today, the lawn was overdue a mowing & looks at lot better now. Have swapped days around next week so it's a work day tomorrow.

Today will mostly be cracking on with work and chasing people who haven't replied to my emails. <le sigh> And reading Ink Black Heart, which I'm glad to say does have plot, and either I've ignored adjusted to the exposition levels, or they've calmed down. I suspect that my brain may be filtering it out

Lovely and sunny here. Another Monday off. Been to physio massage woman which has helped a lot. Ironing and washing done before I went out.

Just need to put all the washing and ironing away and then do not very much for the rest of the day.

Evening. Nice day, did a Sainsbury shop while DH was picking up DGS.

Oh woe is me!!! My computer is buggered. 😭 I switched it on this morning and I got all these automatic repair messages on the blue-screen-of-doom and nothing will work. And yes I did try the switch-it-off-and-on-again but that didn’t work either. I’ve googled it and the only thing I haven’t tried is putting all this stuff into the command box which scares me. I think it’s going to have to go to a repair shop. Worried about all this year’s photos which aren’t backed up.

In other news, the GP surgery seem to have found me and have booked me in for a routine blood test tomorrow morning.
