Mum and I went to the cat shelter second hand store yesterday. Then did som more shopping. Then went out in the forest and picked som chanterelles and lingonberries. Found a gorgeous spot by a lake and did some "charcoal" grilled vegetarian sausages actuelly tasted great 😀

Afternoon. Very frustrating day trying to renew a savings account which is maturing. They have a new online site and it’s absolutely useless. Got there in the end.

Then DH was trying to do a spreadsheet of the expenses for the trip to the caravan. He paid for it all and he needs to collect everyone else’s share. What a bloody nightmare, we needed you Helen. Anyway it’s sorted now.

Afternoon all. We had a very good outing - excellent concert of 'bucket list' proportions Now we're home and pooped. DS is a tired grouchy teenager and doesn't want to go out tomorrow on the long-planned day out, which doesn't involve so much travel, but still about 3 hours in total. So that's going to be fun I feel like I've over-committed myself for next week. <has mild stressy fit>

Really don’t feel like doing Monday today but there’s little/no choice so onwards we go.

Morning wenches. Rain and thunder at 3:30am here for about 20 minutes (but only 3mm rain) which meant I was awake then until 5:30.

Have cancelled today's plans because I want to enjoy what I'd planned and not have it spoilt by a grotty teenager winging throughout. So he (doesn't know it yet) will have a day of no xbox. Also, unfortunately for him, Disney+ is due for renewal today. So that won't be happening either and there will be discussions about attitude, compromise, consideration and all those things which teenagers have in the wrong proportions. Then I'll get on with work.

I AM ON THE TRAIN

Making my way home from leg 3 of my holiday, have had a lovely time and met up with a few old friends yesterday. To round off my holiday, last night I enjoyed a nice bedtime thunderstorm with my friend's two cats curled up on my bed.

Afternoon. We had a huge thunderstorm in the night. I thought of you Fancy. I didn't like it and I don't think Misty did either. She normally sleeps on the chaise in DD's old room, in spite of having two beds of her own , but she arrived on our bed in the middle of the storm and settled down for the rest of the night. DH slept through it all.

DS entrusted me with bidding on a golf club on eBay this afternoon as he's at work. The stress! Anyway I got it.

DH is very happy at his new club Helen. Three of his friends from the old club have joined too, and I think more will join when their respective memberships are up. Love the spreadsheet question.

We had condensation on the outside of the windows too LetUs for the first time this year. It always signals autumn to me.

DS2 has picked up where he left off for how he feels about getting up for school. Let’s say, little bit grumpy.

We had a lot of rain overnight, the loud kind. Dry for now though.

Had to call in sick, feeling like crap. Feeling really sorry for myself.

I think we're about to get rain here - it started off sunny first thing, but has clouded over and looks very murky. (Also I topped up up the birdbath, so that should bring on some rain )

Last night's early night didn't happen - I was putting things away and then discovered that the door of the little freezer had been left ajar for a about 4 days. FML. It was mostly empty, fortunately, but it was completely iced over with icicles and stalagmites in the drawers. DH managed to chisel off enough ice to get the drawers out. The contents were coated in ice so hopefully fine, and then I was up past midnight getting the rest of the ice out to the point it could be left to melt overnight without flooding the utility room. I put the ice in a bucket to melt, the the bucket is mostly full of water this morning. The freezer is still drying out...

It absolutely pelted it down approximately five seconds after I walked through the door at work today. Been like that on and off all day.

DS2 had a good first day back so that’s nice. Just needs to sort out his waking up attitude.

Evening all. The Freezer is dried out and back on - no lasting damage, just annoyance.

Had a nice walk on the beach this afternoon with a friend I haven't properly caught up with for a year, and our respective DCs had a good natter as well, which was lovely because they were friends all though primary, but have ended up not spending any time at all in high school.

We didn't have any rain until this evening in the end - it's gently dripping outside to the tune of 1mm so far (I have just been out to pick some tomatoes for tomorrow' packed lunch).

Hopefully you'll just have a mild dose of covid wicked - everything crossed, apart from legs #WayOfTheWench. Also things are crossed for miniLetUs being a bit less grotty tomorrow morning.
