Am back out at NiceClient, productive morning so far, which is more than can be said for yesterday in the office. Sometimes I like being out at a client's because I can ignore everyone else

Gardener is due today - he wanted to know whether to bring the lawnmower. I replied that it wouldn't be needed as I don't think the grass has grown since he was last here a couple of months ago. Frankly I'm just pleased some is still alive.

I pruned the wisteria in the front garden this morning as it’s taking over the path. I thought we’d killed it earlier in the year as it was very late but no, it seems to be turning into a triffid.

The Met Office website says we may get thunder and rain here tonight. Am not holding my breath. We are on the edge of the weather warning so it will probably miss us. If it turns up at all <grumps> hope you get some too apricot

We’ve only watched the first episode of this new Shetland series. It’s very good even if it is constantly punctuated by DH’s endless comments on, although obviously wenches won’t be affected by that

I’ve got some knitting done this evening. Might do another couple of rows as they’re quite straightforward and then stop for tonight before I get on to something that requires proper concentration and counting.

Helen your rain dance worked for us - has been solidly raining for a while now. If there was thunder I clearly slept through it.

Fancy! <- actual envy for once, not <boak> though looking at the colour of the clouds that are slowly heading this way, we might get some too. DF popped in early doors on his way to do a food shop, and announced that VaguelyLocalBigTown had 60cm rain!!! After me looking gobsmacked and miming the height of 60cm, we established that was actually 60mm, but still a lot.

I am back at work anyway. Whoop. And eating breakfast still, because it was a late start. (I may have just heard DF drive past, which is annoying because he was picking up milk for me.) DS is a proper teenager and still asleep. Or in bed, anyway.

DS2 hospital appointment went very well. X-rays and referrals. Consultant was lovely. She explained it all very clearly but I’ve forgotten lots of it. He got a 4 in his RS GCSE (equivalent to a C) so he’s super pleased as am I.

Heading off to work soon.

We've had 5mm. rain. Need more, but at least the water butts aren't as empty.

Afternoon. We had a lot of rain last night and this morning. The sun’s out now, but too late to go and sit in the garden.

DGS is coming this evening as his mum and dad are going out. I’ve got another funeral tomorrow afternoon; a cousin who was a lot older than me and who I didn’t know, but it’s family so I’m going to meet up with other cousins. Funerals are the only times we meet.

We were treated to 5 episodes of Cobra Kai by DGS last night. We got quite into it. . He’s probably too young for it really but as he does karate he loves it.

The funeral was as per. Asked my cousins who people were, they didn’t know either, but it was nice to see those I did know.

Not keen on shellfish either WW, but it was lovely for you to see your former neighbours.
