Today is washing a-go-go and usual Sunday activities.

Last night was much fun. I discovered some partners in crime and we all danced until my feet felt like they'd been through tenderisers they're still a bit sore this morning. Suspect there are some deep blisters that will work their way out in due course.

Did the usual livestock feeding and went back to bed, then got dragged back downstairs by grumpy DS because I hadn't woken him to make biscuits Given that he is inseparable from him phone I think he could have sorted out that 'wake me up' bit himself. Still, biscuits are are cooling on the rack and will be ready for him to take along to his meet-up.

Glad you had a good time LetUs - I shall be doing washing today as well, but not as much. <snort> at the audience of metal chickens for FancyCat's dust-up. Were you armed with a water pistol Fancy? Hope that there are no vet trips required!

If I may add to the comedic mental picture - imagine FancyCat, normally floofy, further floofed up in fight mode and me trying to shoo away EnemyCat without being too mean as I like him and he's elderly - so I gently prodded him with a long twig and spoke sternly to him as I ushered him off the premises. He's a lovely cat and normally very friendly, but I didn't want to risk picking him up at that point - he's quite a beefy cat despite his age.

I now have entirely inaccurate-but-entertaining visions of Fancy chasing EnemyCat around the garden with a broom, 'Tom and Jerry' style, (or advancing on EnemyCat in full riot gear) while FancyCat sits there issuing instructions as a hissing ball of floof

Afternoon. Cloudy and a bit miserable here. We didn't get to a restaurant last night, but had a Chinese takeaway instead.

Well I have had an up and down day. Ironing while watching gymnastics and diving - reasonable. Then went to DS's to eavesdrop on the Coldplay gig at Wembley - very civilised. Sat on his balcony with a takeaway and a glass of wine and failed to name most of the songs while listening in and watching the fireworks, it was very mellow. Decided to wait an hour for the crowds to reduce and then while waiting to get into the tube with the remaining few thousand people they closed the station for the night leaving me stranded. They put on buses to take people to London which was no use for me as I needed to go north and those buses wouldn't have got me into London in time for the last train. It seems to not have occurred to them that lots of us needed to go north. Ended up with DS getting me an Uber for barely less than the price of a ticket to the concert. If I'd wanted to spend £70 to see Coldplay I'd have bought a fucking ticket. Got home at 2am. God knows whether compensation is possible, but I'll give it a go.

Apparently there were some cancelled trains so they had to shut the station what a fuck up, they'd have known about that in advance of shutting the station, and how likely was it that trains going both ways were cancelled? They clearly forgot that not everyone was coming from central London. Have submitted a claim and I am not the only one judging by Twitter......

Hoping for better luck today I AM ON THE TRAIN again - DD is taking me to the theatre 😊am a bit tired tbh, so hoping for an easy journey.

Hurrah for Theatre trips Fancy - and fingers crossed for the trains today!

It's been cloudy and sunny here today, though I was mostly indoors, so didn't notice it. We just had a minor panic because DS' email password has been changed and it wasn't him... except actually it was Daft child.

Wenches, I am absolutely knackered. Just - urgh. My plan is food, bath and bed - possibly even bypassing the bath.

Has been a good day so far, would love some rain though as it may be cooler but it's still so dry. Theatre was fab - Book of Mormon. For the third time 😁Grinned from start to finish, appalling taste humour but so bloody funny and a really energetic cast, loved it!

Isn’t raining at the moment and none forecast until late afternoon so I’ve put a wash out. DS2 is therefore in charge of keeping an eye on the weather and bringing it in anyway later. Last time he brought washing in he folded it all very neatly so I have high hopes.

Rest of the day was average. I think I need an early night as had a couple of late ones and it’s really caught up with me.

Short work day today and I really must carry on with knitting as I’ve not done any since Friday.
