Afternoon. Lovely day, managed to get an hour or so outside.

Well, we ordered some new brown chairs for the kitchen as the current ones are falling to bits. They arrived this afternoon and they're very nice, except that they're black. Aarrgh! No-one can get anything right. DD says they'll probably blame covid, that seems to be the standard excuse these days.

Hope FamilyHelen are recoved from their injuries, FancyDD is fully recovered, LetUs has had a good day at work, and WW isn't working too hard.

DS2 is in a right mood and DH is being a know all about stuff he doesn’t actually know about.

Aaaarrrgghhh at wrong chairs Apricot. I suspect your DD is right. I phoned somewhere today to chase something up that’s been outstanding for a while and they still have a message referring to pandemic staffing levels. That’s been on for at least 18 months.

Am still working at the moment - has been a bit of a disjointed couple of days - seems it wasn't a fainting fit, it was a seizure so have been in contact with the hospital, who have actually been really helpful - both DD & I have spoken to a lovely specialist nurse who arranged a (remote) meds review this afternoon. Anyhow, I won't be working tomorrow, I have cleaning to catch up on and then DD should be back for a day or so, so we can have a relaxing Friday evening. Oh and I am recording the netball tonight to watch a bit later.

DS seems to have survived the day without damaging himself any further, and DH is improving. I have survived the day without any injury despite having been horsing. Now I need to sort out packed lunches for tomorrow, except I really can't be arsed. <le sigh>

We had epic thunder last night and tons of rain. It's raining today too. In another part of Sweden it's been so stormy that a camper van ended up on a roof

Afternoon. I went to repair a parasol at DD’s earlier and I’d just started when it began to rain. At least I had shelter. It didn’t last long and it’s sunny now.

The Wrong Chairs have gone. We’ve asked them to replace them, but I notice on the Amazon page that they’re out of stock. That’s probably why they sent the wrong ones, thought we wouldn’t notice or would keep them anyway. No.

Sorry about your DD Fancy, but sounds like she’s in good hands.

DS has had a fun day, and there are no injuries to report, except DH has burnt his mouth eating the noodles that we had to cook up because the takeaway came with uncooked, dry noodles a complaint will be going in to the take-away, and DH is getting side-eyes sympathy for the stupidity pain.

OMG Wicked - that's a bit extreme. Hope that no-one was in the camper van at the time.

At least the furniture was picked up fast enough Apricot - annoying though. Good luck finding a replacement.

The netball didn’t go quite to plan, nor did the beach volleyball, or the 800m but everyone’s done brilliantly anyway and a bazillion times better than anything I could do.

Knitting is done. Took all afternoon and some of the evening to put it together and it’s not gone great and I’m really really fed up. And DH is really pissing me off in commenting on every single fucking thing that I’m watching and asking questions but they’re not really questions, more “this is my opinion about that thing on the tv and you agree with me don’t you?”. I am seriously grumpy.

Evening all. I spent all afternoon doing gardening in the end - a lot of gardening. It was very productive and the front of the house and drive look a bit less abandoned now :D I also cooked. <polished 'domestic goddess badge>

Haven't seen much in the way of commonwealth games - saw some diving just now in the highlights and some poor sod being disqualified after winning a race because of a very minor lane infringement. And there's pole vaulting now. That might be live?
