Ciao - Everybody Welcome.

OP posts:
PippiCalzelunghe · 24/01/2008 17:32

glad at 'i am a bit stitica and lots of wind' (not the only one )

I didn't like the house at all, did look like a monastery like kevin said, didn't think he liked it that much (missed his comments a bit as dh was going on and on about stuff). all that money and what??? (franca guy spent about a million on building this massive house with basement in oxford with copper roof. You are experiencing symptoms of withdrawal )

think I might have it done then, might even be in italy then so easier. if not I'll check the plac you told me franca.

hotHELL · 24/01/2008 18:00

loc loc loc was a bit dull, the uusal middle class couple, lots of cash, really unattractive, new baby called Thomas, wanted a pile in Northumberland, rural of course, and pad near Heathrow because hubby jets off a lot for work to keep the wife. yawn! I am not bitter!

hotHELL · 24/01/2008 18:01

I thought it looked like lots of conservatories stuck together, and how awful was the black bedroom, the man has no taste!

francagoestohollywood · 24/01/2008 18:09

the word "rural" fills me with angst .
There are plenty of places where you can get a private scan in London Pippi, if you are ready to spend 250 that is .
I'm feeling awful, not sure whether it's my period starting or whether I'm coming down with influenza.
I miss Kirsty and Phil.

Brangelina · 24/01/2008 19:57

Ah, ci risiamo. Il governo è caduto (not because I'm sad about Prodi, but because it'll probably herald the return of our old friend Berlusca) [pure horror emoticon]

francagoestohollywood · 24/01/2008 20:10

(bangs head on the pc)....
and did you see that Formigoni's Lombardia has reduced the possibility of having a termination (for health reasons) of 2 weeks?? ...

gio71 · 24/01/2008 20:17

at the idea of Berlusca throwing mad celebratory party at this moment.
How may lives does that man have??
How many laws will he change this time round to ensure he can never be convicted of anything he ever does??
did you see the fight with Barbato al Senato??

francagoestohollywood · 24/01/2008 20:21

I can't bring myself to watch it...

francagoestohollywood · 24/01/2008 20:24

Apparently AN is drinking spumante in aula, to celebrate... oh dear.

francagoestohollywood · 24/01/2008 20:24

francagoestohollywood · 24/01/2008 20:25

sorry

Brangelina · 24/01/2008 20:29

Was your finger twitching in nervous exasperation?

No I didn't see that thing about Formigoni - what is it about the 2 weeks?

Brangelina · 24/01/2008 20:32

And of course Berlusca's gong to sneak through a law when there's an Italy match during Europei di calcio are on this summer, whereby the election rules are changed so he never gets voted out of office.... I might be taking refuge in the embassy after all

Brangelina · 24/01/2008 20:34

Heck I'm so indignant my English is incomprehensible.

francagoestohollywood · 24/01/2008 20:40

The Italian law is that you can get aborto terapeutico within 24 weeks. It has been lowered to 22 weeks in Lombardia. Therefore by the time you discover a problem with the foetus (and possibly get a different parere from different doctor) there'll be only two weeks to have a termination...

Brangelina · 24/01/2008 20:44

No!

I can understand the reasoning behind it to a certain extent, in that premmies born as early as 24wks are now surviving, but surely that wouldn't be the case if your child's condition was incompatible with life in the first place?

Can he do that? I mean, Lombardia is not a regione autonoma and there is no federalismo as such, so how can Lombardia unanimously decide to rescind a national law?

gio71 · 24/01/2008 20:46

DP has just said he won't vote in this election, he is usually of the mindset it should be law to vote. Very
Berlusca has put some Bud Spencer trash film on mediaset to celebrate I see . Means he has light entertainment in background while he plans his new law that all bandana wearing, hair transplantee, shoe-lift using politicians he should be able to plunder, bribe, cheat to their hearts content without EVER having his day of reckoning in court .

gio71 · 24/01/2008 20:53

changing subject does anyone know of any websites in Italy that sell second hand dvds, an Amazon type thing. I usually use Amazon and play.com but arent that good for Italian films

Brangelina · 24/01/2008 20:57

DP gets his from Italian ebay. There are quite a few with ebay shops too and there's a huge variety of them.

francagoestohollywood · 24/01/2008 20:58

You know what Gio, I've been thinking about not voting, have been so disappointed in the Italian sinistra lately, even if I've always been a leftie. Unless obviously someone new and incredibly talented emerges form the total tristezza ... [dream on emoticon].

Brangelina, I don't know really, will find a link. I agree there should be lots of dibattito about this, but given that most of the diagnosis can be done at the 20 weeks scans, 2 weeks are not enoguh to take such a heartbreaking decision.

Brangelina · 24/01/2008 20:59

Try looking here

francagoestohollywood · 24/01/2008 21:00

Brangelina · 24/01/2008 21:00
