Evening all. I am pooped. It was a long and busy day of selling stuff, and I need bath and bed. It was also fun though.

Morning all. It's a bit cloudy today and I have to put some washing on... oh well. it will dry at some point as long as it doesn't chuck it down outside (I should check the forecast). I'm somewhat lobster-ish after yesterday - didn't even occur to me to put on sunscreen. Today, apart from washing, I have to do work, all the usual... StupidKitten is hyper and gone outside to rampage back indoor snoozing on a chair. I've just looked at the carpet and realised it needs hoovering (I have hoovered it). Joy. Another week of domestic shenanigans begins.

Also, I can't get used to MN not having 'ctrl-enter' to post, so I keep leaving unposted stuff on my screen. FFS. Which turns the above post into mess of updates witterinng.

Anyway, how is DS2 LetUs - has he managed to avoid covid (as far as you know!) Fingers crossed MrLetUs is improving

Sunny here, except for when we were putting furniture outside and it decided to rain. We found some plastic covers though and it didn’t rain much. Just waiting for floor fitters to arrive.

No idea how DS2 has avoided it. We’re keeping our distance and sanitising hands and stuff. He’s fine and still negative. DS1’s managed to avoid it too despite his girlfriend having it and some of her family and his housemates.

Back seems to have settled a bit.

I could watch some episodes of Derry Girls whilst I’m upstairs, keeping out of the way of the floor fitters. Or do some knitting. Or have a nap.

Evening all. DH has gone to watch DGS doing his karate and will bring fish and chips home so I don't have to cook.

Floor is down and looks fantastic. Really pleased with it. Everything back in and room back together.

DH is still positive and not feeling properly better. I’ll test tomorrow and still feel fine, although my cheeks have started feeling very flushed in the last hour or so. Weird.

Morning. It's sunny, and I'm still in a miserable mood, probably brought on by washing clothes twice after the door seal turned out to be filthy and coated washing in gunk. FML, etc. Also had to clear up more feathers this morning, and DS is still being a sodding teenager.

Cute kitten is on my lap though, snuggled in and purring. So that's very lovely.

Oh Helen, that all sounds very trying and shit. Into the cwtch cupboard with you. Copious amounts of HBFs will follow and will try a lot of different ways to make you feel better.

I have tested again as day five since first test (work’s policy). Still a very strong positive line. DH is negative but still feels rubbish.

Misty has a new scratch post with platform and cosy little bed on the top. She went straight to it and attacked it with her claws. Didn't climb it though. Maybe she'll leave the chairs alone now or maybe not.

Yay for new flooring, purring kitten and new water butt.

I love that Misty’s really settling in with you Apricot.

Today has been spent mostly either trying to jolly along or ignoring a grumpy DH who was having trouble with his tools <nae> when trying to trim the bottom of a door. It’s sort of worked but not quite and it took a lot longer for him to do than he’d expected. Have also been knitting.

Evening all. Am not quite as grumpy as I was, which is a relief for all concerned. DS is also being more pleasant which helps. I would very much like a day in the cwtch cupboard though. I'm bored of adulting - it's hard work.

Hurrah for butts (we already have the drought, thanks ) and Misty making herself at home.

I should go to bed - I got woken up by my alarm this morning which is unheard of these days - the light comes on, which usually wakes me up without resorting to noise. This morning the 'birdsong' option kicked into - much to DH's alarm and my sleepy bemusement.

Morning - it's cloudy and I have the dentist. Those facts aren't related, they're just what popped into my head.

Cute kitten is mostly in 'kill mode', and DH woke up early and got up to feed livestock - hurrah. He immediately let Intelligent cat upstairs to yowl at me, so no sleep-in here.

Afternoon all. Dentist went fine, other than the tediousness of having my mouth pull about and my lip is sore from that clamp thing they put round your teeth when they do fillings. Also the cleaning thing they use is worse than getting a filling drilled .

I think I’m all knitted out today. Couldn’t get my brain round the next part of the pattern, despite having done it before the other day (two front halves of a cardigan) so I’ve put it away.

I sat outside for a bit in the sunshine and did a few sudokus but the sun went behind the clouds and then it was rather chilly.

Morning. Today is another grey day. KillerKitten has developed a taste for birds. I've never been a fan, but I'm wondering if a bell on a collar would do his head in have any effect.
