More domestic shenanigans, trials and tribulations...

Hope all wenches had a lovely easter. I've been working a bit, visited mum and had fika with nice neighbours. Today I cleaned a bit, dust everywhere Don't really want to go back to work tomorrow.

Trying to enjoy having a Monday off but the feeling of approaching work is unavoidable. Perhaps bath’n’book later will help.

Ah. I appear to have forgotten to actually hit 'post' last night. This was waiting patiently this morning.

I have been watching LadyHawke with DS. It is as silly and cheesy (and fun) - as I remember. What I had forgotten is the horrendous 80s synthesiser soundtrack Way to date a film! (And tonally feels completely wrong in a film that's trying to be unspecifically medieval.)

In other events, I've spent most of the day doing gardening things. The seedlings I recovered yesterday seem to be doing ok, and I planted a load more seeds, plus potting stuff on. I have been a hive of activity and fully expect to be rewarded by HBFs. (I will be disappointed, of course, but a wench can hope...)
Also, I may have mentioned that chickens are a fun, but inconvenient companions for weeding and digging. I'll see my chickens and raise me a stupid kitten who thinks that me rustling about in the weeds is an invitation for him to launch at my hands in full Attack!Kitty mode. Honestly. Idiot.

all round in preparation for getting back to the grindstone tomorrow. In the meantime I'm going to have a bath too
, because my feet are freezing.

We came back last night after a lovely few days, and you really would have thought we would have learned from DD's lack of case, but no, we left a bag behind containing shoes, toiletry bags, medications, my iPad, chargers and a myriad of other stuff that we need. Poor DH had to go back! In fifteen years, we've never done this. Four hours and about £50 worth of diesel later he appeared at midnight having rescued the missing item from the table we both walked past on the way out.

Yay for recovered seedlings and fika with nice neighbour. Hope everyone's had a good, or at least reasonable, day.

It’s quite easily done Apricot. I’ve been known to put my car keys underneath stuff I need to take with me when I go out. I then move the stuff whilst looking for my keys and leave it behind. for MrApricot. Is new cat arriving this week?

Work was fairly quiet thankfully for a change which is just as well as I was pretty useless. Plan tonight is bath’n’book and early night.

It has been a day. DH was horrendously hung over this morning (big night out last night) and still feels rough as (he's back in bed again), so we suspect that he is hung-over plus some extra bug. Which is a right pain in the backside because I had jobs lined up for him to do. Plus he had SportingActivity plans tonight.

I ought to be sorting out food...

Work was quiet as lots of people are on holiday, still got interrupted though. A new chap started today in our department and he seems nice, so that was good at least.

Am watching more old episodes of Derry Girls, not a bad way to spend an evening.

The display isn't responsive to actual screen size, so it looks a bit rubbish on the laptop (little narrow column of posts, floating around in a sea of nothingness). Plus the images aren't thumbnails of the whole image any more - their previews of a part of it. pfft. Though we can five of them now. But, FML, if you have to add them one at a time, you have to wait for each one to load. And you can only do one at a time.. FML - do they know what my upload speed is?!

Afternoon. OMG this is horrible. Yes, I was kicked out too Fancy and had to go searching for my password. I need an excuse to stop wasting spending so much time on MN and this is it. Not this thread obviously.

The cat is arriving tomorrow evening. I've bought bowls and a litter tray and some toys. I had to phone them as they haven't been in touch since I paid the adoption donation. They didn't answer my email asking questions. I know they're busy, but I know nothing about her. She's out with a fosterer at the moment and the person I spoke to didn't appear to know much more than me. She says she'll ask the fosterer to email me. I asked about food and was told Whiskas wet and dry. I googled and got nowhere. Does that mean she has both? Buffy just used to have dry. Oh well, I suppose all will be clear when she arrives.

Better night’s sleep, although awake again just after 5. I did manage to get back to sleep though just after 6 so that’s helped.

I went to town this morning and got the Whiskas wet and dry food as advised. Later had an email from the fosterer saying the cat has Royal Canin sensitive dry food. She says she'll bring some along.

She's coming around 7-ish. Really excited and a little apprehensive. Goodness knows where she'll sleep. Wherever she likes I suppose.
