I hope all is well at the caravan apricot?

Name badges are a fabulous idea letus Grin

Sad about the wren helen, one of the worst things about having cats. That & the random piles of vom.

Not particularly sunny here, but it is warmer so hoping that tomorrow is similar & I can spend some time pottering around the garden. Then for a remote watch along with DD in the evening.

ApricotCrush · 14/04/2022 16:59

Hello wenches. We are here complete with a new tv aerial. It only needed a couple of adjustments which were explained to me carefully and which I instantly forgot. Hmm

The weather is overcast but not cold. We went to the nearby big town this afternoon to do the usual Poundland shop which was a complete failure as the place was rammed and we couldn’t find a parking place. We decided not to waste any more fuel and came back to have a Magnum sitting on the sea wall.

I’m waiting for the TB film to come out on DVD too.

Grin at film characters wearing name badges. Hope MrLetUs’s back has improved.

Sad about wren.

Have a lovely evening all.

Evening wenches.

DH’s back seems to be much better, given the way he’s leaping about in one of his super jolly moods. Well, that’s because you get to finish early before a bank holiday weekend don’t you DH? Whereas I’m in a right grump and feeling very sorry for myself because my back/hip started hurting again before I left for work and has been sodding agony all day.

I shall look up Life After Life. Poor little wren Sad.

Enjoy the remote rewatch with FancyDD. That always sounds so lovely.

at too busy town centre but Magnum on a sea wall sounds a much better way to spend your time Apricot.

I plan to have a very early night.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 14/04/2022 23:15

Evening all. Have been round a friends for nibbles and a catch-up. Stayed a bit later than planned and it's a bit late now, but it was a fun evening. Hurrah for MrLetUs recovered, but FFS for LetUs's back and hip. Dr Aramis is on his way.

Hope that Fancy has had a good day.

Magnums while sitting on the sea wall is much better than fighting through the Poundland scrum Grin

LetUsPrey · 15/04/2022 08:51

Morning wenches.

Sounds a fab way to spend the evening Helen.

Didn’t have an early night at all. Stayed up watching a film. What and idiot.

Hoping it stays dry today as I’m wanting to get the beds changed. Steady on the excitement levels

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 15/04/2022 09:42

Morning all. We have hazy sunshine here and it looks like the weather could easily tip over into rain. Ho hum.

We had a late night too - up late and then DH couldn't get to sleep I'm meant to be making a cake and also popping out this morning. So I think the cake had better wait, or I'll just be creating stress for myself with having to be back to get the cake out of the oven.

There is also much gardening to be done. And a bit of work, because I didn't get stuff finished yesterday and it was meant to be handed over yesterday (I have decided that 'close of play on Thurs', means that 'waiting for you on Tuesday' will do the same thing - the customer hasn't disagreed Grin )

ApricotCrush · 15/04/2022 17:23

Afternoon. Still overcast here with occasional glimpses of the sun.

We went for a walk along the beach this afternoon and have been racing each other to do sudokus since.

DD & Co are coming tomorrow so we have to get beds made up for them in the morning.

Hope LetUs’s back/hip has improved.

Evening wenches.

Apricot you have the best holidays - ice creams on the sea wall, sudoku races, walks on the beach. Brilliant.

Did you get your cake baked Helen? And all the gardening done?

I’ve got a couple of loads of washing dry. Went out with DH and ordered some flooring, visited parents. Finished the knitting part of latest project and now need to do the sewing up bit but that can wait for tomorrow.

For now I’m thinking bath’n’book.

FancyFancy · 15/04/2022 20:16

Ice cream on the sea wall - perfect.

Spent the afternoon pottering in the garden and now watching TMitHC, and hurrah - Rufus Sewell is in a white shirt/black braces/no Nazi jacket combo that is most fetching.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 15/04/2022 22:08

Evening all. The cake got baked, but not a lot of gardening got done due to being busy doing other stuff as well. I tried to get a new sudoko book, but there weren't any, just crossword and word search and stuff. Weather turned out nice at least, and I did lots of biking instead of driving as well.

Hurrah for the FAF dressing appropriately Fancy Grin

What sort of floor are you getting LetUs? - you can tell me about it in the bath.

LetUsPrey · 15/04/2022 22:26

Jolly considerate of him Fancy.

at lack of new sudoku book

It’s wooden laminate flooring Helen or whatever it’s called. I was mega Goldilocks trying to choose the right shade. Too light, too dark, too much this shading, too much that shading.

LetUsPrey · 16/04/2022 09:51

Morning wenches.

Saturday right?

Lots of things to do today which explains why I’m sitting on the settee with DS2 watching old episodes of Death in Paradise.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 16/04/2022 09:58

Morning all. Spring has well and truly sprung - I heard a cuckoo a couple of days ago and the crows are mobbing the life out of the buzzards. The manshapes are still asleep - DS is in full teenager-sleep mode.

It was bright and sunny, but it's clouding over now.

I'm sure I have lots to do, but I shall continue to loll about on the sofa for now.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 16/04/2022 10:00

Also - get thee to a nunnery Iceland-the-shop-not-the-country (though the country's also cool)
www.iceland.co.uk/p/lotus-biscoff-ice-cream-cake-650ml/85784.html

LetUsPrey · 16/04/2022 12:24

Couple of washes done. Might go and sit in the sun for a bit.

I’ve phoned DH who’s still out shopping and is heading to Iceland The Shop so I’ve asked him to get one of biscoff cakes to take to LittleSis’s tomorrow.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 17/04/2022 07:29

I woke up early. urgh. still, have fed the livestock so now I can go back to bed.

Hope that MrLetUs' hunter/gatherer skills were up to scratch and he brought a biscoff home with him. Grin We're of to a BBQ this afternoon.

LetUsPrey · 17/04/2022 09:10

Morning wenches.

There is indeed a biscoff in the freezer waiting to go to my sister’s house today. I also need to make cakes to take with us. Have to shower and get dressed first. Moving off the settee would be a good first step.

FancyFancy · 17/04/2022 12:19

Afternoon. Spent yesterday with FancyMan and with us both being child free this weekend he was able to stay the night with the house to ourselves - hurrah! Then DD had an evening out arranged with schoolfriends, so they turned up briefly before needing a lift and then DD and two friends came back for the night. So not quite time on our own, but at least we had the evening to swing from the chandeliers watch Derry Girls.

IS THAT BISCUIT SPREAD VIENETTTA??????

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 17/04/2022 13:20

I do believe that it is Fancy - LetUs will have to research it fully/repeatedly for us Grin According to my twitter source, it also comes on a stick, magnum-style. Shock

I persuaded the manshapes to start watching Derry Girls last night. It went down well Grin More have been downloaded so our House binges will be interspersed with Derry Girls.

Lovely weather here so we're indoors trying to work out HowTAF to transfer stuff from my old phone to the new snazzy one that DH got for me. Hmm A degree in rocket science might help. I have left him to it.

FancyFancy · 17/04/2022 16:33

Glad you are enjoying Derry Girls. DD and I are planning a binge watch of the new series next weekend so I am working my way through previous series.

LetUsPrey · 17/04/2022 16:41

Biscoff vienetta is bloody delicious. Goes especially well with a quarter of a bottle of Pimms

ApricotCrush · 17/04/2022 17:34

Afternoon wenches.

DD & Co arrived yesterday minus one of their cases so SIL only has the clothes he is wearing and they have none of their toiletries. Oops! Cue a quick visit to the local Nisa to get what was available.

Lovely weather this morning but it went cold this afternoon just in time for us to go to the beach for DGS to have a paddle and the rest of us freeze in the howling wind. Hmm

DGS is currently doing his maths homework —it never ends— before we go out for a meal.

Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 17/04/2022 20:27

Evening all.

In today's minor disaster, the mini-greenhouse with all the seedlings blew over. Sad I've rescued what I can, but I think I'll be re-sowing some seeds tomorrow.

Eek at packing mishap apricot - thank goodness they didn't arrive today with all the shops shut.

Glad to hear that the biscoff vienetta thingy lived up to expectations Grin

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 18/04/2022 09:04

Morning all. Today's excitement was coming downstairs to find feathers everywhere, and a very dead, mostly plucked blackbird on the floor Sad Which I then had to tidy up before DH came down and got cross at KillerKitten for completely normal cat behaviour. Dh has taken DS out, and I must remember to empty the hoover before he's back, or the cylinder full of feathers will be a bit of a give-away.

LetUsPrey · 18/04/2022 09:21

Morning wenches.

Oh no at forgotten suitcase Apricot but glad things got sorted. DS2 still has some homework to do too.

Hope the seedlings are okay Helen. Poor birdie but cats will be cats and Helen will be their accomplice.

Today will be washing and ironing —and a visit to the craft barn—
