Morning all.

Windy here today. StupidKitten has been playing in a bonfire judging by the ashy colour of his feet Hmm and also not hungry so he's obviously been out hunting already this morning.

Eek at nearly shutting FancyCat's head in the door. Easily done when they're so stupid though.

LetUsPrey · 07/04/2022 10:43

Morning wenches.

Very windy and rainy here also. Today’s plans include shopping for trainers with DS2 and getting him to do some RS revision.

Johannes was all kinds of fabulous last night. Wish I looked as good in a V halterneck, backless gold sequin jumpsuit with a huge feathered showgirl type headdress.

Hope you had a better night Apricot and that DGD has a safe and happy trip.

Relieved that FancyCat is back to herself and her head remains unscathed.

Efficient work by StupidKitten this morning and no washing up!

ApricotCrush · 07/04/2022 17:44

Afternoon. Sunshine and showers here.

Well DS decided not to stay overnight here after all which was just as well as I coughed for half the night again.

Oooh, watched Bridgerton episode 7. Shock It's getting back on track now its nearly over. Hmm

Nothing else to report really, hope everyone's had a good day.

Evening. Windy and rainy here.

Glad that you had a good night LetUs - of course you'd look fabulous in a V halterneck, backless gold sequin jumpsuit with a huge feathered showgirl type headdress - you are Wench.

Hope that Apricot DGD has a good trip. at Apricot's cough

LetUsPrey · 07/04/2022 22:19

Evening wenches.

Thank you Helen Grin

Apricot. Coughs are horrid, even more so when they bugger up your sleep. Love the ooooh for Bridgerton!

Got DS2 new trainers, tried to get him to do some revision.

FancyFancy · 07/04/2022 23:18

You would look completely fabulous Letus

Bit of a long day at work as I really wanted to finish a particular piece of work today. Then did a remote rewatch with DD this evening which was fun.

Has Stupid kitten washed his feet yet Helen?

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 08/04/2022 07:23

On the bus to Ullared for some shopping! Staying overnight at a hotel where there will be some wine drinking tonight. Then yummy breakfast tomorrow followed by more shopping Smile

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 08/04/2022 09:29

Morning all. It's bright and sunny this morning - hurrah!

StupidKitten has not really washed his feet - they're still looking distinctly grey. He's now a little ball of sleepy kitten on the bean bag and I need to crack on with work.

Have a lovely time Wicked - hope you find some nice things to buy.

LetUsPrey · 08/04/2022 10:25

Morning wenches.

Remote rewatch with FancyDD does sound fun Fancy.

Here’s to successful shopping and hotel staying and wine drinking Wicked!

little ball of sleepy kitten

Dentist this morning for DS2 and then another attempt at vaccinations for him this afternoon.

ApricotCrush · 08/04/2022 17:05

Afternoon. Nice day with lots of sun, but the wind is still cold.

DGD has gone to Iceland for her trip. DS says she was so excited when he dropped her off, in the middle of the night. Shock

Remote rewatch does sound fun Fancy.

Hope you have much successful shopping WW.

Awww at the sleepy kitten.

Fingers crossed for DS2's jabs LetUs.

Evening wenches.

at going to Iceland . Hope she has a fabulous time.

Sunny here too. Had a wash on the line.

Dentist went well, jabs did not. I’m running out of ideas.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 08/04/2022 19:58

At the hotel drinking wine Wine They have 80 checkouts at the store Shock

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 08/04/2022 20:36

Seems like Iceland is the location of choice for school trips just now - that's the third one I've heard of! One day I'll visit... though I'd find it hard to get excited about it at 3am. I think DS has a French trip later this year with a similarly antisocial start time.

I've had two washes on the line today - one's still out getting darked on. The other is dry but v. chilly - the wind is bitter.

Had a nice walk this evening and startled a small herd of red deer - about a dozen of them churning up some poor farmers field and eating the crop. The had a couple of roe deer in another field.

Hope the dentist went well LetUs

Swagger Inn 171. Spring is just around the corner, but the HBFs still need their overcoats to keep us warm.
FancyFancy · 08/04/2022 22:46

Evening, am watching The Man in the High Castle having drunk a glass of pink cava. Is it possible for me to be more confused?

Have a fabulous time ww, it sounds like a lovely time is planned.

FancyCat disapproves of Stupid Kitten's lack of personal hygiene. She is never less than snow white except when she gets an orange bib after drinking from a soaking saucepan. She is moulting ATM, I have probably picked up half a cat's worth of fur clumps since I got home.

LetUsPrey · 09/04/2022 09:39

Morning wenches.

Sunny and breezy here. Should be baking, can’t be arsed.

80 checkouts Wicked? Blimey. Hope you’ve got yourself some lovely things.

The deer sound fab Helen, although I’m approaching it from the no idea what damage they might cause point of view.

Perhaps watching it whilst drinking is the only way to go Fancy.

Lots of stuff to do - washing up, washing, ironing, etc - but feeling rather blah about stuff.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 09/04/2022 10:15

Morning. it's a lovely sunny day (at the moment) so I'm planning to go out and spend some gardening tokens I got given 3 years ago. Once I've had breakfast.

Blahness can FTFO and then FTFO some more.

Deer - put it this way, my agapanthus plants will not be flowering this year (again) because we have one small muntjac who is relaxed about being up by the house. This is also the same/related reason that my father has given up trying to grow any vegetables outside. The deer are lovely and impressive (depending on their size) but also a complete pest. The red deer are mobile herd of cow-sized grazers who pay no attention to fences or ditches and go/eat where they want. #RuralLife Hmm

FancyFancy · 09/04/2022 14:05

Afternoon, sunny here too, although with a looming black cloud - hope it buggers off as I have built the first patio planter and have the second to still do. Then they will both need filling.
Sounds like you need some faf to chase away the blah Letus? We have deer round here too, not as many as Helen and I've not seen red deer here - just muntjac the little buggers keep eating my elder, I think roe (it was dark and I was driving!) And fallow deer near FancyMan's
Have fun spending the vouchers Helen

ApricotCrush · 09/04/2022 16:28

Afternoon wenches. Sunshine and showers. I went to the village up the road for some bits and pieces and thought I'd have a walk round the lake, but it threw it down, so I decided against. DH will be thrilled with the rain, he's still bricklaying at DS's.

Wildlife Corner: Nothing as impressive as your deer Helen, but I've been watching a pair of jays swooping over the garden this afternoon with twigs in their mouths.

Hope the shopping is going well WW.

LetUsPrey · 09/04/2022 20:56

Evening wenches.

It was sunny and breezy this morning, I took about three steps outside with the washing and it started raining. It’s been raining and hailing on and off all day. Have done some knitting, been to visit parents, some housework, not much else.

Poor Helen’s non-flowering agapanthus

Did you get your planters done Fancy?

Awwww at the jays and their twigs Apricot.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 09/04/2022 21:33

Evening all. Nesting birds are fun. I've spent the past two years watching jackdaws vanishing down next door's chimney with twigs every spring. This would be the next door who had a chimney fire last year (but still haven't put anything on the chimney pot to stop jackdaws going down Hmm )

No rain here. I did weeding in preparation for scattering seeds on one of the flower beds (which I bought with my vouchers - hurrah!). There's a lot more weeding to be done first though. How are your planters Fancy?

FFS at the rain LetUs. (I managed to get two loads of washing done and dried on the line.)

FancyFancy · 09/04/2022 23:31

You are luckyapricot, jays are so lovely Smile

Sorry for hogging all the sunshine down here letus

I did get the planters done thanks, and have a very achey back to show for it, mostly from lugging around bags of compost.

Am watching episode 1, series 3 of The Man in the High Castle. Rufus Sewell turned up in one scene without the unfortunate jacket & in a crisp white shirt with black braces

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 10/04/2022 09:38

Morning all. It's sunny again and my back aches too. AnnoyingKitten is following Intelligent cat everywhere, and annoying her Hmm I should move my backside from the sofa. In a bit.

LetUsPrey · 10/04/2022 09:39

Morning wenches.

Sunny here so I’ll put the washing out and then crack on with the ironing.

Poor jackdaws at next door to Helen.

I think the sunshine was better with you anyway Fancy as at least you made proper use of it. I’d have only put a wash out and then spent the day inside. Grin at the lack of a particular jacket making such a difference.

FancyFancy · 10/04/2022 10:58

Morning
Sunny again here, may try to get another wash on before going over to FancyMan's - assuming I can get petrol, some places have run out apparently

In our garden the blue tits and great tits collect cat fluff clumps that I've thrown outside that have caught in doormats and guttering. This year I was more organised and collected the fur after grooming to hang in a bird feeder in the garden - it got taken really quickly Smile
