Had a long bath last night. Whizzing through my book and had to force myself to put it down and get out of the bath.

Cars are iced over this morning but the sun’s attempting to shine.

You are an industrious lot with your knitting - and given the cold weather, the results will be welcome. Spent a good part of yesterday spring cleaning the utility room which was boring but satisfying. Rewarded myself with more MitHC (still confused) and Bridgerton. Some brief topless Lord Shagger, but they really are giving us only crumbs so far He did look hot though.

Steadily busy-ish for most of the day, except for emergency to deal with just as I was about to take the lid off my sandwich tub, and then from 3.45 onwards emails and phone calls that ALL NEED DEALING WITH NOW ESPECIALLY THE THREE SENT AFTER 4.55 —because someone can’t print sodding photographs—

Evening all. Busy, starting off with DS missing the school bus due to my 'not helping him' Words were had. On the plus side of that, it meant that by 9am I'd done a food shop, hung the washing out and.. I think that was it actually.

I also seem to have randomly developed shin splints in one leg. Odd. and also, ouch

I went to the hygienist this morning and had the usual tips on cleaning my teeth.

Oooooh, I haven't seen the billowy shirt yet. Treat in store! Why is it that lots of the men in Shaggerton look the same? I know some of them are brothers, but still... It was the same with Lady Mary's suitors in Downton. I think I've got some form of face blindness. I couldn't tell Athos and Aramis apart until episode 6.

Evening all. Year end has happened, much cleaning has happened. DH, if I didn't know better, could be accused of pulling the 'helping so badly that you never let them help again.' But it's all sorted now. (Cat-allergic-friend hasn't keeled over from catness anyway)

Bloody annoying kitten sent my pudding flying on the sofa, so now I have a custard-scald (FFS and all that). At least the throw was clean on (by about half an hour) so I could scrape pudding off it and eat it

DS1 is home. I’d reminded him to bring his key with him whenever he did head back in case we were out, which explains why DS2 found him waiting outside today when he got home from school. No key, no coat. I’m not even remotely surprised . DS2’s super happy.
