Afternoon. Very wild outside in the night and a branch from the lilac tree was bashing against the balustrade outside our bedroom window, so that was fun. It has now been lopped.

Yes, Helen we did have snow, a couple of inches this morning, but it's mostly gone now.

The hiccoughs were short lived thank you and we didn't get round to watching Lucifer as we spent too much time chatting.

How all wenches have not been blown away - I would recommend being pinned down in these gale conditions, by a selection of hbfs of your choice naturally.

Also snow Apricot?! Homework ended up going quite well, but only after a strop from DS2 and then him calming down, re-approaching it and then not feeling well which I think was anxiety tummy.

Went into town this afternoon and bought the bulk of the Christmas cards. Walked home, it’s a couple of miles, and that wind was flipping biting but I soon warmed up.

DH has fetched the Christmas stuff out of the loft and is currently putting the lights on the tree. I'm keeping out of the way. It only seems a month since we were putting it all away.

We didn’t have sleet. We’ve had snow. Quite a bit really compared to what I expected.

You need a very big cupboard with a door that will remain very securely closed Helen. That’s the extent of my tidying tips.

Our tree and decorations will be going up about a week before Christmas but that’s partly because we’re having a new door and windows in in a couple of weeks,

Another late one for decorations - I usually get a real tree so don't like to get them too early.

DD used her staff perks to take me to the cinema today - very enjoyable, and it only cost me lunch . It was fucking freezing out there though - a horrible cold wind, luckily only a light flurry of snow though. Am glad I am not working tomorrow, a water main burst this weekend on the route to work and there was an impressive 20+ foot geyser, there was still ice on the pavements here late morning, so I imagine that road was like a skating rink

There might be quite a pretty sunset this morning - small grey clouds all have orangey-gold lining. But there are also a lot of big grey clouds obscuring the view.
