These are not the wenches you are looking for

BestFriend had a lovely coat on when she called with DS2’s birthday stuff the other day. I think she said it was Seasalt. Quite long and looked very warm.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 20/11/2021 14:39

Nice Star Wars reference there Letus 👍

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 20/11/2021 14:40

I went to a Christmas market and bought a very christmassy dragon tealight holder Grin

Oooh - I like that Wicked!

Last tiem I tried Seasalt, their full length arms were 3/4 on me :(

I am baking. Not much else going on. Hope that FancyDF is home and so is Fancy.

ApricotCrush · 20/11/2021 16:48

Afternoon. Cloudy here too.

Oooooh, snoring! Angry I can be awake for an hour in complete silence and just as I start to feel I can go back to sleep it starts. Every time.

That's very cute WW.

Evening wenches. Grin Wicked

That’s a cute tea light holder!

Hmm not Seasalt then. My winter coat is from Merrell. Okay in the arms and I do have quite long arms.

I’ve baked and washed and homework chivvied and parent visited. Had an early bath and watched Strictly. Tired now,

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 20/11/2021 23:27

I am having an early night Hmm or not...

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 21/11/2021 08:12

Morning all. I was woken by... the morning? And a cat galloping around downstairs. And then the rain. And then DH going Shock "Shouldn't DS be up?!" (Me: "It's Sunday...?" Hmm ) He thought it was a school day. Which is always a nice way round to get your days mixed up, apart from the initial adrenaline rush when you think everyone's slept in and running late.

Hope everyone has a good day.

FancyFancy · 21/11/2021 11:11

Got home late last night, nice to be back. Dad got home yesterday, his face looks like
he's done 12 rounds in the boxing ring. And lost. He looked a little shaky when Dsis and I collected him but perked up after a bit at home and a large dinner Grin. Stepmum remains a worry wrt mobility and cognitive issues, so changes need to be made in the home and with ongoing help.

As it's a sunny day, washing is in order. When I'm not doing that, I will probably be under a cat.

LetUsPrey · 21/11/2021 11:43

Morning wenches.

Pleased your dad’s home Fancy. Fingers crossed for recovery.

That is a bit of a bonus Helen re a mix up of days.

It’s sunny here. Today is the usual Sunday thrills.

ApricotCrush · 21/11/2021 16:32

Afternoon. Lovely day here, but very cold. We did some gardening this morning as it's the last bin day on Wednesday and we want to get both bins full, but I didn't last very long as there was a biting wind.

Glad your dad's home Fancy, hope he's fully recovered soon.

Have a good evening all.

Evening all. That's a worry Fancy re. mobility and cognitive issues - hopefully easily fixed Confused
Grin at 'mostly under a cat'

It's got very seasonally nippy at last - out in scarves and hats today. But apart from the early rain, the weather has been good. I caught the back end of a 'Christmas market' this afternoon, which was full of overpriced xmas present ideas. There were some sweet wooden decorations, but see previous comment about prices!

FancyFancy · 21/11/2021 22:24

Evening. Seem to have spent quite a bit of time on the phone today to various people - Dad, Dsis, DD, and also spoke to a friend who's Dad has died recently to see how she is.

Washing done and have been sat on by purring cats at various points of the day - I think they do miss me, in their own little cat ways. Also had my covid booster jab - have a sore arm, if that's as bad as it gets I will be very happy Smile

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 22/11/2021 07:35

Of course that cats missed you Fancy - you are their primary source of food and bed Grin (They always miss us, they just pretend to be above such things.)

Is clear and sunny here. And chilly.

LetUsPrey · 22/11/2021 07:38

Morning wenches.

Their own little cat ways - awwwwwwww Smile

Cars all frozen over this morning. Brrrrrrrr.

FancyFancy · 22/11/2021 12:00

Very sunny this morning - which is showing up how dirty my windows are Blush

ApricotCrush · 22/11/2021 17:26

Evening. Heavy frost here this morning and it's been a lovely day. Agree about the windows. Blush

Went to Lidl this morning and used the £5 voucher I forgot last week. On the way home my car reached 50,000 miles. I've had my eye on it for ages as I wanted to see it roll over.

We're being plagued with flies, there seems to be one in every room and they're driving us mad. Angry

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 22/11/2021 20:00

Evening wenches.

Yes Apricot - flies here too! Not like when it’s warmer and you expect them, just like you say one in each room and very very annoying.

Cold enough today for me to have put a hat on —although I am a bit of a wimp when it comes to the cold—

I’d forgotten I’d put a wash on. I can hear the machine beeping to say it’s finished. Flip.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 22/11/2021 20:06

I have been wearing a hat for a while. I am an utter wuss when it comes to cold and would rather look like Nanook of the North than risk getting cold!

Happy milestone milage to Apricot's car Grin

We've also had the odd fly buzzing about at home. I think it's because it hasn't been properly cold until now or because something died in the walls. Hopefully there's all frozen now and that's them killed off for the year.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 22/11/2021 20:08

Someone mentioned flies? Hmm

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 22/11/2021 21:11

Shock Wicked - eek!

LetUsPrey · 23/11/2021 07:34

Morning wenches.

I can only repeat Helen with eek!

Daaaark but not as cold. Must try to get my booster booked, but it keeps telling me nearest centre is about 20 miles away which is not true so DH has given me the phone number he used (which he got from the surgery when he was there for something else) and got an appointment where we went before less than a mile away.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 23/11/2021 08:55

Frosty morning, which also means bright and sunny - hurrah. (Once the sun was actually up of course).

I don't think I can have a booster yet, it hasn't been six month since my jab. Must check...

ApricotCrush · 23/11/2021 16:33

Afternoon. Grey and miserable day here, but not as cold as yesterday.

Another eeeek at those flies. Shock

I don't possess a hat, or a scarf, or slippers as mentioned before. I can't be bothered with all the winter stuff but no wonder I get so cold. Hmm

We've discovered some new episodes of Lucifer we haven't seen so are watching those. It gets more and more bonkers. Grin

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 23/11/2021 16:42

I have tons of flies upstairs, they probably live in the attic Hmm
