Oh, cross-post with Helen, glad she's alright. Smile

FancyFancy · 26/05/2021 21:56

Pizza was very good thank you, fab to have a proper one after so long.

Yay for the robin being ok. Speaking of wildlife, it looks like my suspicions were right about deer being responsible for eating my elderberries and all the elder leaves while they're there. Quite possibly it was them who finished off the fence that was leaning alarmingly too, little buggers Grin

Excellent work there Letus, she was rude and full of bullshit

LetUsPrey · 27/05/2021 07:08

Morning wenches. Excellent robin news Helen!

What a nightmare with your GP Apricot Angry. Some things go the impossible route if you don’t have a sympathetic GP.

Mmmm at proper pizza. And squeee at deer!

Just woken up from a weird dream where I got lost walking back to somewhere I was staying but I needed to get back to make sure DS2 got up and got ready for school. Never mind though because day off today! Plan is haircut, shopping in Naice Village and then feet up.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 27/05/2021 07:50

Hurrah for proper pizza and days off and shopping and haircut and feet up (The HBFs are very keep on the latter idea). (Stressy dreams about needing to be somewhere when you're lost can FTFO.)

DS is off to school, DH is asleep in bed with StupidCat. Little tiny chicks are very cheepy and getting little tiny wing feathers already Shock

Wildlife report - I have avoided the robin, just in case, and the 'Squeee, deer!' is altered to 'squeal' of breaks as one stepped out onto the road in front of DH Shock Confused Sad It is an ex-deer and DH has an ex-radiator grill (and a large whisky, last night when he got back). Fortunately (in terms of damage) it was a muntjac, not a honking great red deer.

Today I must do baking and house tidying and laundy. And working, which includes answering queries where my preferred response is 'Read my fucking email', but I shall have to go down the tactful route of repeating what I've already said, using the same words in a different arrangement until they successful read and understand them. FFS and all that.

It is cloudy outside, and generally a bit gloomy. But not raining. Yet.

FancyFancy · 27/05/2021 13:16

Poor deer and poor MrH, must be horrible for that to happen.

Lovely news about the chicks though

It's quiet in the office today, mercifully. Still a ton of work to do, just not many people in.

ApricotCrush · 27/05/2021 17:23

Afternoon. Lovely day here for a change, although it went a bit chilly this afternoon. Washing has been cleared.

I hate those dreams LetUs, but hope you have enjoyed your day off.

Awww at little tiny chicks. Sorry about the deer and MrHelen. Sad

LetUsPrey · 27/05/2021 17:44

Evening wenches. Had a lovely day off. Couple of washes done and dried because no rain! Hair cut and a good catch up with my sisters and niece. Prescription collected from very pleasant and friendly pharmacist in nearby village, and I absolutely did not buy any more books

Poor MrHelen and poor deer Sad Huge squeeeeeee at tiny fluffy chicks though! Are you ever tempted to put in the reply email something like “referring to my previous email —which you obviously couldn’t be arsed to read properly” or “as previously stated”?

How’s the hand Apricot?

Any flat sale news Wicked?

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 27/05/2021 20:43

Evening. I'm glad you had a good day LetUs - LOL at definitely not buying more books Grin and Yay! for nice friendly pharmacists. Hope that Fancy got lots of work done in the quiet office.

It's turned out really nice here - I even hung the washing out to dry.
DH has been phoning round to get prices to fix the car...

Saw the hare out for an evening hop and skip... (it does have four legs, honest...)

Morning wenches. Love the hare out for a hop!

More vivid, angsty dreams which make me feel very urgh when I wake up. Could I not have a vivid HBF happy dream please instead?

Friday so hurrah and a bank holiday so hurrah again! Got my second jab this morning.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 28/05/2021 07:47

Morning wenches.

DS was all "don't want to go to school" this morning. Turns out he has two presentations to do today which he hadn't prepared for/finished. Well, that will teach him to be more prepared. (It won't though, obviously. He'll carry on being 'last minute/forgetful boy'.)

Nice and sunny here today and I have next week off from BoringSpareRoomJob - hurrah. Still got the freelancing though. No plans to do anything - DS will want to be in PJs on his x-box anyway. I can probably bribe him out with dog walks.

Have a good day all, and good luck with the jab LetUs

ApricotCrush · 28/05/2021 17:58

Afternoon. Much warmer today.

The hand is still hideously coloured, but is getting easier to use now.

I went to Sainsbury's and then a walk round the village up the road this morning. Sadly there's been a bit of a tragedy on the lake. MummySwan cut her foot no doubt on glass left by local youths Angry and it got infected. RSPCA were called in and they found it had moved into her body so sadly had to put her to sleep. Sad So now BadDaddySwan is a single parent to five cygnets. I went to find them to see how he is doing and he seems to be taking his responsibilities seriously, although there were originally seven cygnets and he lost two on the first day after losing Mummy. Sad

Lovely pic of the not-three-legged hare. Hope MrHelen sorts the car out soon.

Awful to have bad dreams LetUs, but yay for second jab.

Have a good evening all. Wine

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 28/05/2021 18:20

Oh no Sad Poor swans at BadDaddySwan for losing 2 in the first 24 hours Shock Fingers crossed for the rest of them surviving.

Glad to hear that your hand is improving Apricot

I have finished work - yay!!! And now I should be getting tea. Boo.

LetUsPrey · 28/05/2021 19:51

Evening wenches.

thanks Helen

Oh no at sad swan news Sad Good luck to BadDaddySwan with the remaining cygnets. I wonder if he’ll get together with another LadySwan? Had a discussion with DH the other night when there was a documentary on about some birds mating for life. He was saying that’s rubbish when one of the pair dies, what does the one left do then? I pointed out it’s mating for life so I’d think they get another mate.

Good that your hand feels better Apricot.

at MiniHelen.

I am doubly jabbed woohooooo! Am bizarrely getting a pain in the same place on my right arm to where I had the jab on my left.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 28/05/2021 20:26

OoooOOOOooooooo at spooky arm pain and LOL at MrLetUs being daft Grin

Morning wenches.

I’ve put a wash on and come back to bed. Today will be more washing, helping DS2 organise revision for next week and suggesting he does actual specific homework this weekend. Fun stuff.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 29/05/2021 10:47

Morning all. Glorious weather out there. I shall be in the garden, trying to avoid sunburn Shock Grin

OP posts:
FancyFancy · 29/05/2021 11:04

Morning. It's actually not raining so I can get out in the garden and now the lawn - it's looking lush out there Blush also have some new plants to put in and have spotted some more weeds to repurpose.

Sad swan news, fingers crossed for the rest of the cygnets, they look gorgeous in that photo.

Fingers crossed for homework this weekend Helen!

DS is home for a week, so hoping to eat out tonight.

ApricotCrush · 29/05/2021 17:05

Afternoon. Cloudy all day here, but sun is forecast for tomorrow.

I must admit I thought the same as MrLetUs about birds mating for life and a widowed one being alone, but I can see how that's not the case. Blush There aren't any other swans on the lakes as BadDaddy has seen them all off, but maybe a lonely LadySwan will fly over and see him coping with the babies on his own.

Have a lovely meal out Fancy.

LetUsPrey · 29/05/2021 19:02

Hope you got Athos to apply suncream where necessary Helen.

Also hope Fancy has a lovely time this evening.

You have other, more important HBFy things on your mind Apricot so you’re okay. Grin

How’s the house stuff going Wicked?

Have had an okay day - except for the bits where I wanted to scream in DH’s face to shut the fuck up just for a second. Been to see parents and am sitting outside with a pint of Pimms. Or what used to be a pint of Pimms.

There’s football later so I am planning bath’n’book.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 29/05/2021 21:25

Evening all. I spent most of the day digging the veg patch, and then we have been out at EveningSportingActivity which is the first time I've been there for ages and it was lovely to see people and chat.

We also have football on here. so I'm planning to do the bath'n'book thing as well.

Hope that Fancy had a nice meal - in or out.

OP posts:
FancyFancy · 29/05/2021 23:53

Well we didn't eat out, DS went out! Had a beer and watched some TV with DD. She is now a full on fan of sniper Tim Grin Last night we watched the Lucifer episode where they visit the nudist camp. Jaw -droppingly faf......

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 30/05/2021 07:54

Still - it sounds like the evening was well spent Grin

Is lovely and sunny again here. I've heard rumours of clouds, but so far they're at the big fluffy stage rather than blocking out the sky.

Today there will be more gardening, horsing, and a family get-together Shock

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 30/05/2021 08:01

Morning wenches.

Sounds like the evening ended up going pretty well Fancy Grin

That sounds a fab way to spend the day Helen.

Think I might sit outside for a bit this morning when there’s less chance of neighbours being out and noisy and do the ironing this afternoon.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 30/05/2021 09:19

I have a load of washing on, and wafted the hoover about. That's not getting the gardening done though.

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 30/05/2021 10:30

Gosh I wish that was possible Helen.

DH has been for a run. I know this because he told me yesterday he was going to go for a run,, then he’s been out, and then he’s told me allllll about it, the exact route, how far it was, that he was going to do his cool down exercises (told me that twice). Aarrgghh so much detail! I do love him but I don’t need to know Every Single Thing He’s Doing And Why. It’s like when the DC were into Minecraft or Pokemon.
