I have DSis and husband staying for the weekend - went to the theatre last night and hoping for a dry enough day to go for a walk.

Evening. It went sunny this afternoon so I had an hour in the garden.

Oh Helen, I've woken up with a headache every day this week. Paracetamol do nothing. It fades over the day but is back again next morning.

We have beautiful sunshine today. Wasn’t organised enough to have a wash ready to go out but at least the DC will be able to play football without risking hitting the washing.

We're waiting for 8:30 and Ghosts...

We did do the walk yesterday - had just finished when the heavens opened, so that was well timed.

Theatre on Saturday was fab and eye wateringly expensive and we had good food before hand. That was the first time I'd seen DSis for nearly 18 months so it was lovely to get together. FancyMan was able to join us for the walk too, which involved some uppy-downy bits I'm sure helen will be pleased to know.
On Friday we didn't get round to Lucifer as we started with an episode of Merlin, then realised that the next episode featured Lancelot, so we had to watch it. In case anyone has forgotten just how faf he was, here's a reminder.

Today we had to fit stuff round DD's hospital appointment at midday. Which was cancelled, as we found out when we arrived for it FFS. The appointment is nearly a year late as it is & now can't be re-scheduled until she is at uni. I was beyond fuming I think I need to find some therapeutic faf to sooth me......

Have been taxi-ing DS to a morning-only sports thing, so I need to crack on before I have to go and collect him again!

That's utter shit re. the appointment Fancy - you definitely deserve HBFs and FAF to sooth and soothe you and in fact do do whatever you want them to do. I saw a friend on FB complaining yesterday that she had driven to her hospital appointment and then found, on arrival, that despite what the letter had said, it was a telephone appointment. That's the second time they've done that to her and she was raging too.

My woes for today are mainly that I have logged into to work to find the stupid project has reared it's extremely ugly face again. FML. They are still using their unachievable deadline and haven't done what they said they'd do. FMAL. "See SisterHelen push back yet again" (In hyper cheerful 'Peter and Jane' voice). I may need to mainline the FAF as well.

DD and DGS came round this afternoon, and we went for a walk. I really should get more exercise.

We've just been to water DS's garden and vegetable patch. I has to be done twice a day while he's away.

Evening all. I am the world's worst mother. I forgot to pick up DS at lunchtime, until he phoned (while I was on a work call) to ask where I was. Combination of Apparently I can earn forgiveness by buying him a new x-box game.

Work was not great today. Did the exercise thing after work and am now feeling rather knackered.

Have been trying to get in touch with surgery to get some kind of appointment for DS2 to try to get a physio referral. Not supposed to phone because that’s for urgent matters - fair enough - so I’ve tried the online service for two days. That’s not available. If that stays the same tomorrow, I’ll have to phone.

I really could do with an early night.

Appears to be dry again today so just waiting for the washing to finish so I can put it out before work. Have remembered DS2 needs new PE kit. Super.

Morning all. It's mostly dry, but we had a very light smattering of rain while I was out doing the chickens.

We can be PE twins LetUs - DS also needs a new top. That's on the list of things to do tomorrow...

Afternoon. Quite warm and the sun's just come out.

We took DH's car in for MOT earlier and as it's sort of on the way to DS's we went to do the watering. We were excused this morning's visit because we said we weren't going as it's not hot. Then we went to collect DH's car and realised when we were outside that they only accept cash so had to scrabble together what we'd got on us as there isn't a cash point anywhere near. Anyway all was well in the end.

Hope your PE kit shopping proceeds more smoothly than ours did today. He was refusing to try anything on. You’re trying the stuff on - remaining calm. Waiting in the queue for the changing room, still refusing. When it was his turn ushered him in. He was still saying he wasn’t trying stuff on whilst he was actually trying the stuff on. Anyway, kit bought.

I can seen that happening more often Apricot. I only go to a cash point at quite long intervals.

I sat outside for a little bit earlier in the sun doing a jigsaw. Lovely.

Evening. I don't know what the weather did here really. I was on calls or glued to a spreadsheet for most of the day.

I know what you mean about finding cash. Change is the worst - I used a parking meter recently and had to scrabble about for the money. I know that some let you pay via your phone buy I am a luddite don't use my phone for money stuff.

Todays' main excitement was having to get a ladder out to get CuteKitten down from a tree Idiot creature. I'm sure that he could have got down by himself eventually, but it was getting dark.

Also, did anywench see the news about Tom Cruise randomly landing in someone's back garden in his helicopter because the local airport was shut? Honestly, why do HBFs not land in my garden? it's so unfair. (Admittedly they'd be very lost if they were landing here, but, you know... chance and excitement would be a fine thing!)

Watching a bit of the Paralympics before bed. Did get out in the garden a bit this evening - but only to mow the lawn. Green bin day tomorrow, can't miss that! Did also watch episode 3 of Ghosts, good as usual but I am disappointed the plague victims haven't appeared yet this series
