Morning wenches.

I’ve downloaded that and shall watch it in a bit - thanks Helen. Just trying to imagine them being a show about football Grin.

White cloud again which is due to stick around all day but warm again and not as windy. So once I’ve done the homework wrangling which has to be done around sportingactivities, and the ironing, and some work I brought home, and written some lists to organise about upcoming birthdays and Father’s Day, I’ll sit outside for a bit. But first, breakfast.

LetUsPrey · 13/06/2021 10:18

I’ve watched that - “we’ll catch them offside” GrinGrin

ApricotCrush · 13/06/2021 17:08

Afternoon. Cloudy this morning, but sunny again this afternoon.

What a lovely neighbour WW, that must be a relief to you.

DH is playing that tape in his head LetUs, but it's not working. Confused

We're having a BBQ for the gang again. Wine

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 13/06/2021 18:07

Afternoon. I hope you're sitting in front of the Tennis LetUs - though Tsitsipas is behind, and I'd rather he won.

It's been a gloriously sunny day. I hung washing out last night and it was dry by 10am. I have been horsing and family-birthdaying and kitten wrangling. I also fell asleep in the car on the way home and have pulled a neck.shoulder muscle, which is bloody annoying.

In another annoying development, apparently I have not kitten-proofed the kitchen - spring-heeled kitten Hmm Grin

Also, have a lovely BBQ Apricot

LetUsPrey · 13/06/2021 19:11

We’ve got to come up with something to make sure MrApricot doesn’t give up golf! Obviously I’m only thinking of him and that it would be a shame for him not to still have his golf to enjoy. Obviously.

Have a super barbecue.

I watched some of the tennis Helen but was very disappointed with the result. He’ll get there I’m sure. We did of course watch the football.

I’ve spent most of the day indoors, sneezing and blowing a very runny nose, feeling tired and generally feeling very very sorry for myself. Bloody pollen.

Sounds like you had a good day Helen, with the exception of the pulled neck. How is it now?

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 13/06/2021 20:25

The neck has not been improved by hauling the mower about doing all the fiddly bits that DH doesn't do on the ride-on.

That's shit about they hayfever LetUs Sad Just as well that our hayloft is stocked with pollen-free hay and HBFs. Hidders has a cup of antihistamine for you... Brandon thinks you should have it lying down

I’ve been to the supermarket, in my car!!! Grin Got a bit carried away and bought more stuff then I usually do, so happy about the car.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 13/06/2021 20:41

I still have to take it to the mechanics because of a warning symbol thingy.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 13/06/2021 20:42

Angry about the pollen Letus

Yay for barbecue Apes

LetUsPrey · 14/06/2021 06:41

Morning wenches. Little bit cooler today I think.

No fiddly bits on a ride-on Helen? Grin

Took the HBFs advice with the brew and a lie down. We are sensible wenches after all.

Grinat Wicked doing the happy shopping

I suppose I’d better get up

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 14/06/2021 08:18

Morning all. bright sunny day again here.
tbh I'd like nothing more than to go back to bed, but I have stuff that I need to do... FML... out of order phones to report, kitten wrangling, the usual...

at ride-on - yes, I walked into that one :D

ApricotCrush · 14/06/2021 16:32

Afternoon. Nice day, lots of washing done.

Yay for the car and shopping, but boo for hay fever and pulled neck muscle.

DGS is here and I think DH is asleep, so I'd better go and be the responsible one. Hmm

LetUsPrey · 14/06/2021 18:44

Evening wenches.

Cloudy and considerably cooler today. Had to put a coat on!

Had a text/email from school about an hour ago. Positive cases across a range of year groups and test reporting way down so it’s back to remote learning for most years with a staggered return throughout the week with testing carried out in school. DS2’s year is last to return on Friday. Very fucking cross in particular for the teachers who now have a shitload of extra work to deal with, and for DS2 and those like him who’ve been testing and reporting results. I might be being a bit unreasonable but at the moment I don’t sodding care.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 14/06/2021 22:57

Evening. We had a lots of cloudy today too, and it was cooler, but also very muggy. I meant to do washing, but forgot. (Tomorrow is another day, and all that.) Cute Kitten is still biting everything in sight, but apparently so are the rest of his litter, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it's a development thing and he'll grow out of it - and I haven't turned him into some sort of psycho-cat! StupidCat is still growling and hissing if he gets too close.

We've got a year gone into self isolation as well LetUs - fortunately not DS' year, but if they have one case, I'm sure more will follow. I've no idea if everyone has still been testing.

The neck has eased off today, thank goodness - pretty much gone now. Obviously the rub-down from Athos worked in my dreams Grin

Morning wenches.

Looks sunny through the curtains.

DS2 is up before me, almost unheard of on a school day, and is keen to get started. This is so he can be done for 2pm for today’s first Euro match. Silver lining I suppose.

No idea what’s going on with CuteKitten and the biting. Is it a common thing? I could look it up obviously. Perhaps Athos could give him the Athos Look.

Better get up.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 15/06/2021 08:35

Morning all.

I can confirm that it is sunny, and I would very much like Athos to visit and give me CuteKitten some attention. I think it's to do with teething, and practising for hunting, and not having anyone willing to play with him other than humans. Maybe it's also to do with being orphaned and not having a mother to cuff him round the ear if he gets too nibbly. I don't know. It is fairly normal though, according to the internet. He's currently killing a lindor wrapper and carrying it about as a trophy Awww :) I tried to take a photo, but being a kitten, every shot is just a blur of movement!

Excellent use of football as motivation by MiniLetUs there. I'm impressed! Grin

Hope everywench has a good day. I have already failed to get through to a contact in Australia who ignores emails, 'contact us' web-forms, and, apparently, their own phone.

Evening. Beautiful day here, but we've spent a lot of it in a restaurant with a golfing friend and his wife. Actually they're very nice people and I enjoyed going out. Also I don't have to cook. Smile

Oh LetUs, that is a nuisance, although DS2 seems to have got himself organised.

Awww at CuteKitten with his trophy. I was going to suggest teething before you mentioned it, I suppose they're no different to human babies.

LetUsPrey · 15/06/2021 19:04

Evening wenches.

Was talking to NiceColleague about CuteKitten and the biting and she said what’s been said here - teething. Also, she said mum cats blow in their faces, and I said you can do that to babies when they’re crying and sort of forget to breathe (I think - it’s been a while). So, like you said Apricot, no different to human babies!

Spending time like that with friends and not having to cook sounds an excellent way to spend the day!

across the miles to the person who’s ignoring Helen - the very notion

I need to do some work which I’ve brought home and it involves correcting someone’s calculations where they’ve gone “awry” according to one of my bosses. Why he can’t pass it back to this person I don’t know, but I can’t concentrate in the office because of the bloody constantly ringing phone and interruptions.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 15/06/2021 20:51

Evening all.

OMG LetUs my phone call your worked! Ignoring person has finally got back to me!

CuteKitten has been banished to the kitchen for much of today, with regular visits for attention and food, obvs. It may be a coincidence, but his behaviour is much improved (when am I supposed to blow in his face?) Before he slept on me, he walked across my keyboard and now the cursor keys don't work. Argh.

That sounds like a win-win situation Apricot - company and no cooking!

Hope that Fancy isn't buried under the workload, and Wicked has had a good day and not eaten all the accidental shopping at once Wink

LetUsPrey · 16/06/2021 06:47

Morning wenches. You’re welcome Helen. Obviously it was the hard stare what did the trick Grin

Has CuteKitten considered a career in IT? Is he going to show off by fixing the cursor problem which he potentially created?

Looks sunny today.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 16/06/2021 08:16

Morning. It was nice and sunny outside, but there's cloud coming in. Someone along the road muttered about thunder yesterday, but had no idea where in the country...

Cute Kitten is killing a lindor wrapper and carrying it about like a trophy - win-win - he needs wrappers, so I have to eat Lindor for him. #ResponsibleOwner Grin Stupid Cat is hiding lounging upstairs on our her bed.

I have my second jab today - hurrah!

FFAS that's two posts that didn't go through

I am buried under my workload & have a long commute this week & next (although thankfully not today) although one deadline has moved back a bit which helps.

There is indeed rumours of thunder tonight, if it can hurry up & arrive before bedtime that would be good, I have an early start tomorrow Grin
