What do you all do for a living? Do you enjoy it?

I am a SAHM but will start nurse training soon (as a 30 something VERY mature student).

I am a nosey sod and want to know what you all do and if you are happy doing what you do?

sponge off DH and yes, I do enjoy it .

I sponge off DH and hate it. I want my own money and own independence. Roll on 3 years time when I am qualified and earning some cash .

officially a Structural Engineer, but am on maternity leave.

I love the job, but hate working for my current employer; too much stress involved. I'm going to take a bit of a sabbatical after my ML then retrain in computer software.

Primary School Teacher. Love it!

I am a TA in a YR1 class, work every morning and absolutely love it! Very rewarding. Hrs suit as well, so it keeps DH off my case and I have a bit of pocket money too!

Scientist (it still feels weird saying that after 5.5 years in the job), though on ML at the moment. Going back part time in Feb though. And yes I enjoy it.

Part time HV and I love it.

PS - am not a centile loving, breastfeeding hating type either.

i'm a single parent, not working = love being a mum so much have just been approved to adopt a little girl still waiting for a dd though

Theclosetpagan - I know not all HV's are the same . Most are lovely some are AWFUL just like Midwives (sorry not trying to compare you to a midwife).

Not that brainy really, at least not compared to many of my colleagues. I look at the effects of radiation and radioactivity on human health

mostly SAHM, although do some as and when work working in a residential care setting for adolescent with behavioural problems, etc...which I mostly enjoy!
Am in the process of applying to University for next september, want to become an Occupational Therapist, as, after due consideration, I have decided that returning into Nursing is not what I want to do.
If I do get in, I will be 38 by the time I start and 41 when I finish...yikes...

Mix of stay at home mum and journo/ writer.

3andnomore - OT's are very much in demand at the mo and I was considering this over nursing, however, where I live it is very difficult to get a place for OT training it is so competitive.

SAHM and i am very happy doing it.

Work in corporate finance but on ML at the moment and enjoying it too much. Work doesn't stimulate me and I'd love to do something different, but I don't know what that 'something' is and I don't know whether we could afford it.

smartiejake - sounds like a perfect job. I would love to do what you do.

I have worked with kids with CP (Cerebral Palsy) and LOVED IT. Very rewarding.

Suzie, well, due to my previous Nursing training, I have, apparently good chances . and been told as such....so, am hopiing I will get the place.....especially as I can only apply to Northampton University, as the otehrs that do offer the course are to far away ...talking about putting all your eggs in one basket, eh!

I am a full-time distance uni student, I work part-time in the events industry and fit in being a full time mum around all that.

Love my job and it can be fairly flexible, studying is ionteresting but very hard work.
