Evening. More rain. I had one of my 'need to find a toilet in a strange building' dreams and I'm wandering up and down corridors and stairs - in my nightie.

Oh dear. DGS's favourite teacher is leaving. He did a goodbye speech to the children online this afternoon and they were all writing messages to him. DD videoed it and sent it to us. DGS typed that he will miss him and he's the best teacher he's ever had. Tears all round.

Paypal have just sent me a text saying my account's being closed for safety reasons and please click this link. Yeah right.

DS2 been getting some good feedback from his teachers and, after he had a rocky few days on and off a short while back, he’s really done well. DS1 says his studies are “fine” and he is “good”.

I am heading for a bath with a book and a glass of something. Hope the building work is progressing Helen, and that Lucifer awaits you Fancy. Just going to ponder a waiting Lucifer....

That's a shame about DGS teacher Apricot - teachers seen to have a very high turnover these days :( Every class in DS' primary school had a change of teacher during his time there, and I lose track of his high school ones - he hasn't even met at least one of his current ones :(

Feel lucky that although DD has had some change during A levels, her Spanish teachers remain firmly in place, especially the head of languages who is just fabulous all round lots of fangirling at Chateau Fancy

Afternoon. I've been cleaning floors - try to control your excitement. And I also went to the supermarket. Haven't been out for a walk or anything, the weather's so miserable. Gloom, gloom tiny violin, etc.

Evening. Grey and dismal here. We haven't been out, although we should.

I dreamt a tree was cut down and fell on me. I was alright, but couldn't get out. That must mean something but I don't know what.

We've started watching Medici: Masters of Florence on Netflix with Dustin Hoffman and Richard Madden, who is looking very HBF-y. I do like these historical dramas, probably making up for the fact that I hated history at school.

Went out for a walk with FancyMan this afternoon - wanted to get out before the weather gets awful! Suspect I will go no further than the bins or the birdtable for a bit Can't neglect the birds, especially the robins. They fly in almost as soon as I put the suet pellets out and usually sing while I do it. I suspect they are telling me off for not putting it out earlier.

I am picturing the advance guard robin watching you Fancy and then reporting back that the food is out.

Meant to be a lot colder today. I shall still try to go for a walk, but probably on my own. I’m also looking for new wireless headphones that don’t squeak and creak. I have some Sony ones and I can’t move within them bloody creaking. Also they’re too tight on my glasses over my ears.

Afternoon all. How's the snow status? Ours is a scattering of polystyrene balls.

My bath was just a bath, didn't even do the book in the end, just lay there with my eyes shut. Headache is still here. FFS. DS is disagreeing about the need to do homework, and I haven't got the energy for an argument, so I've sent DH to deal with him. This means that DS will come down in the foulest of moods. Joy.

LOL at the watch-birds. Our robins do that too - land on the bird table before you've had a chance to put the food out sometimes.

Very little in the way of snow here so far - a few tiny flakes. It's bloody windy though, so I expect bloody freezing too. May swap my days around again next week, seems pointless having tomorrow off if it's grim.

Looool at dream interpretation Helen. Yes IMDb tells me Richard Madden was in Game of Thrones although I didn't watch it. He was also in Bodyguard and he was a good Oliver Mellors to Holliday Grainger's Lady Chatterley although Sean Bean is still my favourite in that role.

Evening. The headache does seem to be mostly gone now, thank goodness. DS did a fair bit of homework too (once I'd given him stuff to work with and instructions).

Still very windy here too, but not much snow. It's making a half-hearted effort to produce drizzle-sized snowflakes There's very little settling though, fortunately.
