Morning all - phew I'm back again, so many technical issues. Thank you Lily for keeping us all going.
Cam, was it on this thread that I said my Grandad grew up in Haworth?
Fuelled my obsession with all things Bronte and led to my Eng Lit A level choice where we seemed to spend the best part of two years focusing on ........ Hardy (ok not exclusively but it felt like it) who I find very dull.
What is this word Clampers? Clearly I need to read back.
I hope Dizzy is calm and happy - funny old things cats. My little Kitler is like no other cat I have ever owned. My neighbours (weren't that keen on cats pre Kitler) asked me if he would be an indoor or an outdoor cat, I was hoping for largely indoor with a trot round the garden eating the odd bug.
However, he has got other ideas 🤯, he doesn't come home sometimes, I see him flying up the very large trees opposite the house, he brings me gifts, he destroys things inside the house, my neighbours find him in their en suite - he plays with their small dog and follows them on walks.
When I brought him home I polished my 👼 and supplied him with a small outdoor cat 'igloo' with self heating blanket. I thought it was the biggest waste of money ever .... until this week, when he has emerged from it twice.
We have come to an understanding, life is much less stressful if he is out a lot, he doesn't pounce on us and attack us (feral farm cat lines and he is polydactyl), he has become positively gentle and fairly affectionate, especially if you are eating yoghurt
.
I'm seeking comfort today, I'm going to unlock my glazed bookcase with my very special books and re-read Rebecca, one of my favourite books of all time.
I am also expecting a delivery of a new robo vac. Tried one before but it couldn't cope with my hairy dog, now that she is no longer with us I thought a robo vac would save me from vacuuming the hard floors downstairs every day.
It will be known as the Chariot, hopefully Kitler will command it as it goes about the business of the day and it will help to tire his little brain out.
