I made the bells, on accident, because I hadn't moved myself off the sofa in time to get to bed. Today, we have no plans. (Except to mooch online, Google 'Love and Friendship' and generally faff about). I should probably do tidying. urgh.

Afternoon. Did stay up for the fireworks and generally pottered around afterwards. Now trying to work out what to do today. So many options. Not. Probably do a few jobs in the garden, a bit of admin, then starting the year as it should go on - Lucifer and a drink of some sort tonight with DD.

May do some ironing and watch the next episode of Bridgerton, to see if anyone will be joining Lord Shagger on my list.

Slept in very late today Stayed up late to keep Fräsan company, she was hiding under the couch because of the fireworks. It was like a warzone at the highrises a bit away.
Then it took me forever to fall asleep.
Plan to do fuck all today.

We usually stay up for the London fireworks, but I didn't think there were any this year, so we went to bed. Now I find that there were some that were pre-recorded; will have to look on iPlayer.

We've been watching The Last Kingdom this afternoon, and they re-enacted the Battle of WhereWeLive. Fascinating. There is no commemoration here, I'd never heard of it until I became interested in the Vikings, although some of the road names allude to it.

Fräsan says meow to FancyCats. She was ok after the fireworks stopped. I gave her some extra treats. Sigrid didn't used to get bothered at all, she didn't even mind the vacuum cleaner. But she used to live a hard life on the streets, poor baby ❤

Afternoon. It's getting dark out there and it's definitely chilly. We have been out to help cart wood and have a bit of a walk. In the interim, our neglected cats have been forced to eat that revolting muck that we call 'cat food', or risk starvation. They are now sleeping the trauma off on our bed. This is what happens when we're not here to be yowled at for biscuits - they just get on with it and eat the food that's out for them.

Evening. More snow today. We went to take a birthday card round to son-in-law earlier and it was chucking it down. DD is so bored that she stood in the drive for ages getting soaked just to talk to someone.

We don't know what day it is either. DH asked if it was Tuesday this morning.

Have watched Doctor Who which I enjoyed very much. Had a bit of a tidy up and have primed DS2 to be ready to do a wardrobe clear out tomorrow. Plan now is to do not much.

I could do letus, but I fear my bruised backside would not be able to withstand any vigorous warming. Much of the bruising is easing now, but there is one area that is still very painful to touch.

Daytime today was 1 minute and 13 seconds longer than yesterday

That would obviously call for a very gentle warming through Fancy. Or just not going out and staying in with the HBFs.

I’m watching Secrets of the Museum that I recorded ages ago. I’d quite like to be allowed in the behind the scenes bits of the V&A or other big museums, although I have no skills or qualifications whatsoever to be of any use.

We have football, in the snow. Brrr.

I may have an early night and read my book. I can feel myself leaning towards some online shopping browsing so perhaps reading will be safer.

Cancelled Netflix now, mostly crap on it. Just finished the last season of Sabrina. Really weird season and weird ending. Might start it again if something good comes along.
