Afternoon. Bit of a miserable day here, have done absolutely nothing, except sorted some washing.

Agreed Apricot - the whole 'will they, won't they' thing is very much part of the books. It would be interesting to see them try to manage working together and being a couple, but I don't think that would replace the 'will they/won't they' dynamic very effectively. Of course, there's none of that for wenches and HBFs - it's 'Will they? Of course they will'

Trying to get everyone to be up and ready to go out for the day. It’s like trying to herd cats. Bizarrely, DS1 is the only one that’s properly ready.

Morning. We're out today to meet up with DS's elusive-since-moving-away BBF. Which will be lovely because BFFs mother is lovely. Must get a move on and bake some cakes to take with us... Fingers crossed the weather stays good - its nice and sunny just now.

I would totally buy an apartment in the same building, but a smaller one since her's too pricey for me. But the only ones I've seen for sale are tiny ones, about 25 square meters.
But for now I'm looking for a small house to rent.

Evening. Nothing much going on here, except food shopping.

DH was 'tricked' into getting Amazon Prime a few weeks ago, and as it's useful for free postage and next day delivery decided to keep it. We thought we'd look at what programmes are available and found Vikings which we're way behind on, so now we're binge watching that. They're on season 6 and it's still really good. The original creator has written all the episodes, so no-one gets a personality transplant.

Hope LetUs & Co. had a good day out and Helen & DS enjoyed the meet up with BFF and his mum.

Lovely day out. Fab weather and I had a Biscoff ice cream cone. It was bloody delicious - bits of biscuit spread and biscuit in it. Also had a cocktail with my lunch because why not. Unfortunately tomorrow, when we’re supposed to be going out on a boat on a loch, the forecast is for heavy rain and high winds. Hmm.

Evening, we had a really lovely afternoon DS got to run wild with other DCs and I got to chill and chat in the sun. And the cakes were good (always a bit worrying when I make cakes using a made-up recipe, but it worked )

Fingers crossed for tomorrow's weather LetUs - at least you're not camping There's no wind here at the moment, according to the trees, but I was out on my bike this evening and there seemed to be an awful lot of wind resistance I kept it a short ride.

Loch cruise is off. Trying to find something for us all to do but it’s all either closed (understandably) or fully booked already (also understandably). Didn’t bring any walking shoes, etc as we weren’t expecting to be going for forest walks, etc. I’ll sort something.

Poop re. the cruise, but probably just as well given the weather. Any board games where you're staying?

No games and we forgot to bring the playing cards. Went to Asda yesterday for food essentials and they were sold out of playing cards.

Fortunately the weather for tomorrow where we’re going is looking good so the ice cream parlour is still on. Hurrah!

I was a bit depressed yesterday, I had a couple of cottages lined up for me to rent but they fell through. A guy that answered one of my ads had a big house he was renovating that I could rent if I wanted to but it was too big and pricey for me. But he asked what I was looking for and turns out he has a smaller cottage on the property he was going to wait to renovate but now that I was interested he would speed it up. He's also going to install broadband. Wont be until next year but I can wait for the right house. I really hope it turn out well. We spoke on the phone and he sounded really nice.

At first we communicated by messaging online and he posted that "you seem like a sensible person"
