talking about obsessins in italy I was just texting with pg friend who told me she has had a scan a month, dalla ginecologa che la segue, privatamente ma che e' la prassi. how shocking must be for them the spartana english way with two scan and a pat on the back.

sometimes I think I've got too much an my plate but that's how I am I think. I wither away when nothing is going on. If you think taht DH and I met, moved in together, had a child and one on the way, got married, sold two flats, bought a house and all the other small bits with it in just 3 years...

franca is def a bug, l wouldn;t worry. dd vomited last week (I speared you this news) and I did not tell anyone and sent her to school as she was fine straight away. sometimes e' il freddo alla pancia. (pippi sounds like her mamma)

ps: dh is again in the garden to 'wish goodnight' to the hole in the garden.

Oh yes. I had ds in Italy and had lots of scans, it was good, very reassuring, as I was very apprehensive the first time round.

what are you building again?

garage. what else did we build? we are doing the house up but won't start till jan.

Rosa spezzatino... I use the pentola a pressione
mezzo kg manzo ( serves 4 easily) usually taglio magro,
Soffirggere cipolle, sedano, carote, and any other verdure you fancy. Cover meat ( cubes) in seasoned flour and fry til brown ( I usually add a bit of water at this stage as it all sticks!)
Add 1 can polpa di pom usually mutti as I think its best. If you cook patate with it then add 1 can of water if not then about mezzo. Add in rosmarino, worcestire sauce and 1 cubo di dado. Add patate if you wish close pentola and let it whistle then lower heat so it semi whistles !! For about 20 mins. I then take lid off and decide if it is too runny in which case I gently simmer without lid. If I can manage it then it must be easy!!
Gave dd minestra last night with pasta ( not pastina ) in it she looked at me as if to say not on your life Mamma..and ate proscuitto instead !

Sounds like no trick or treating today, ds has a temperature and very under the weather. He's watching lots of telly, but doesn't have the strengh to do anything else.

poor ds hope he feels better soon there are lots of nasty bugs round I feel as if I am permantly fighting a cold . Halloween seems to have taken off in Italy as well . I am going out tonight but its really a cena con girls.I am looking forward to it but not getting up with dd at 6.30 domani !!

bought lots of toys for dd today and stuff for mascherarsi. I want to make a box like you have franca.

the builders have dug the garden lengthwise and it looks like flanders...dh is going to have a heart attack!!!!!

DB came bck from pf with polpette, real salsicce, perugian bread (2 loaves), biscotti mulino bianco, buondi, pizzette and besciamella (lazy pippi).

ds's been pretty miserable, only cheered up when trick or treaters (mostly from his school) pop round. Still temperature, just given him nurofen he's off to bed in 2 mins.

well no not really. he came in august after la laurea to learn english and he's still here with us and he'll stay till xmas . luckily we don't see him often as he's found a job in a rest during the day and goes to school in the eve. I don't mean to sound horrible but if he was in mezzo ai piedi all the time we would have killed him. DH is so relaxed about it. I don't think I'd be.

dd is playing with the new set of pots and pan and feeding Orsetto.. bless!!

Took ds trick or treating with a bunch of friends, fantastic fun, he had so many sweets, unbelievable! Going to have an evening reading as nothng on the telly.

he does. it was a shame we wasted the first two months because I was feeling sick and did not care about going out. but now I'll make the most out of it.

If its dh and me I use larger lumps of meat and sometimes a pizzico of pepperoncino - in that case pressure cooker for more about 30 mins . My mum ( Uk ) does it in the oven but I think my meat comes out softer in pressure cooker and its cheaper on the bollette. Had a lovely night last night with the girls very relaxed - it was my FIRST night out senza dh since before dd was born !!DD is sitting playing with the halloween balloons (pacini as she calls them) and streamers that my friends donated for her ! Lovely day here today ( festa ) so off out for a walk. Franca how is ds???

ds is in a much better mood and just 37, sno not real temperature. He's being an angel, because now the malata it's me. I vomited 5 times since 2 o' clock. I feel distrutta e sto malissimo. Non so che medicina prendere, ho finito il plasil, che comuneu n on ha fatto nessun effetto. ho tutte le ossa rotte. sorry for the rant, I feel really crap.

Oh Franca you poor thing. I do not know what to suggest can DH not go to Boots and get you something. Like an anti vomit medicina. Plasil is anti nausea isn't it ? JUst try to sip water possibly with a bit of zucchero and dont do anything sit on the sofa and watch tv with ds ( glad he is better)

Sleep and telly is the best solution, in between vomiting bouts. Hope your dh can take time off work to do childcare.
Spent a fortune on Italian kids books from the Italian bookshop. Does anybody know if there is an Italian Amazon or equivalent?

haven't been sick for a while and managed to lie on the sofa the whole day, apart from making ds lunch. he's been a star, bless him. Dh's just arrived, and I'm off to bed. I have a terrible headache.
