francatransylvania I saw these boots in the shop. they do not look bad, in a way they look better than mine (which are the worse IMO) but I thought I must go all the way.

I agree with that bit cali. In fact on the tube I push it out as far as I can so that even at week 3 I could get a seat!
everything else I do not enjoy much. only the thought that my LO is safe and snug.

I loved the belly. As soon as I found out I was pg I stuck it out, no more having to constantly hold tummy in, bliss! Unfortunately I now forget I am no longer pg and let it all hang out in an unsightly manner. Not so bad when you're wearing a baggy t shirt but not so hot when you're in a bikini.

I really must find the time (and the energy) to start boxing again.

oh yes you can, I never get into halloween...
wha I really miss about italy is Carnevale. I think l'll make sure that we go to italy for that with DD as it's toooo sad to miss , don't you agree?

Yes, I remember the feste di carnevale alle elementari. There is a picture of me with vestito azzurro, like the fatina, con il cerchio per renderlo bello largo!! ANd the chiacchere... sigh sob.

I got really stressed out by carnevale last year, all the kids at the nido had fancy costumes and I just put DD in a gypsy skirt and gave her a necklace. I'm so clearly not a mamma monzese.

My favourites where: capitan harlock (o capitan futuro, non mi ricordo), alice, l'uomo ragno, e il diavolo (seriously)! (can you tell I was a tomboy?) was never a princess nor a fatina or pierrot.

we had 'frappe' and 'strufoli', coriandoli e stelle filanti... e le maschere di pantalone, colombina, arlecchino da colorare

brangelina, please you must take it seriously!!!! you need to think the mask in advance and get ready.

I know, I know. I'm so lazy and I can't sew. What can I do that is easy? It has to be easy to take off as DD doesn't like too many fussy bits and she'll need to ba able to go to the toilet.

Brangelina, this is what I say: quick move back to Milan!!!!
ds (5) is really into dressing up. He's had a dressing up box since he was 1 or something. Some costumes have been made by mil and her sister, who are bravissime a cucire (they made him: indiano, robin hood, re magio (for a nativity scene at nursery) and a vestito da maga for dd). But in the box there are also old sottovesti sintentiche which belonged to my mum in the late sixties, foulards and a pair of culottes, which are fundamental to whatever he decides to dress up in!!! . He is very, very buffo.

Ooh, DD would love a dressing up box! She adores my hats, my jewellery and most of all my shoes. She always trying to walk in my heels and when we go out she always pulls out a pair of killer heels for me to wear. Not very practical for going to the park....

Don;t worry Franca you certainly don't sound antipatica! But no, Uggs are not for me, but I would like a pair of sophisticated boots!

Tehy might not do Carnevale here, but they give kids lots of opportunities to dress up at school: red nose day, book day, movie day, rainbow day, halloween. I would find it stressfull getting ds to dress up for an Italian do, scary Italian mums!!!!
