Everyone's welcome

I looked at it until it pissed me off, so I stopped. I am sure she didn't have children, I googled and she seems childless. Getting a bit obsessed with this.
Pippi did you see the childminder again? Have you made a decision?

francagoestohollywood · 28/09/2007 20:54

did I piss you off? I hope not . I've been googling her and it is not clear. But found this

OP posts:
hotmed · 28/09/2007 21:25

no, no, you didn't piss me off, i so love ng's life....definetely she was childless.

hotmed · 28/09/2007 21:26

i meant to say her work, not her life, her life was pretty hard.

francagoestohollywood · 28/09/2007 21:27

sospiro di sollievo.
I like it too. Having googleed the googolabile I discovered she took pictures of Stromboli as well. Has pippi gone to bath do you think?

OP posts:
hotmed · 28/09/2007 23:10

Probably! I imagine Pippi wearing her best nightdress, enjoying a night of overwhelming passion and lust with her husband. They will sleep in, have a lavish breakfast in bed (room service), then they will stroll through the streets of Bath, and he will buy on impulse un anello di smeraldo.
Off to bed now, ciao.

hotmed · 28/09/2007 23:10

Or maybe she has her head down the loo still with tummy bug.

francagoestohollywood · 28/09/2007 23:35

'night.

I hope for Pippi that it is Med's description but maybe with the odd diamond as well...

francagoestohollywood · 29/09/2007 13:47

How's it going Rosa? Still underwater?

OP posts:
Rosa · 29/09/2007 14:32

No we were ok here as used to acqua alta - it was high again yesterday at 12.00 just made it home without getting wet feet ! Mestre and Marghera are still drying out I think some areas had it bad ..Not as bad as the Uk this summer ( not as large an area).

Anna8888 · 29/09/2007 15:53

Normally I only lurk on this thread (no credentials) but just wanted to say to Pippi - I made pasta e ceci inspired by you and it is really yummy

I used dried chickpeas that I soaked overnight (so longer overall cooking) because I had them lingering in the cupboard and I used chicken stock (because I had some fresh left over from making risotto earlier in the week) and I used egg tagliatelle (ditto in the cupboard and needing eating up).

Yum yum yum.

francagoestohollywood · 29/09/2007 20:52

! Pippi's mum is going to become our domestic goddess (can see her making a programme like "my Umbrian Kitchen" )

yes, more recipes please, Pippi's mum

PippiLangstrump · 30/09/2007 20:05

I am back!!!!
LOL at emerald!!! everything else was pretty much right tbh. It was really lovely. hotel not as great as you'd expect but massive bed, for parts of the night I thought I was on my own, like the good old days!
instead of emerald I got a pair of UGG boots which I always hated and think look awful but but but for this pg winter all I want is confortability and I can tell you it's like walking with clouds around your feet.

Anna8888 I am so happy you liked it. You've made it like my dad nakes it, with the 'real' chickpeas. My mum and I are too lazy for that!
I'll tell her tonight and ask for more recipes. I like the idea of the umbrian book!!!

oh I've also found the childmider.

PS, why are you not supposed to go on a jacuzzi when pg?

francagoestohollywood · 30/09/2007 20:59

didn't know about the jacuzzi.
Glad you had a lovely weekend. re uggs. I've always snobbed them as well. But feel tempted this year. Saw a great pair in black leather.

OP posts:
Rosa · 01/10/2007 14:10

Jacuzzi I think its the hot jets on the bump ..Or maybe I am totally wrong but I was not permitted when on hols to go in so I sat on the edge and dangled my feet in really glad you had a good time.
I live in Ugg slippers in the winter and have done since I was about 12 when we used to get them from Australia!! BUt the last pair I had are lower cut and I fall out the back - not impressed but they are a version on the original I think. Dont think I could go the full boot though !

Jane4 · 01/10/2007 14:12

Hi all,
Glad you had a great weekend Pippi.
We are going to try the pasta & ceci this week, it's the right weather for it I think, sorry I haven't posted for a while, been really hectic, don't get much time on the computer nowadays. It's also hard to keep up with the threads you lot chat sooo much LOL!
It's Mia's 2nd birthday on the 11th October and we are having a little party this Sunday, so I have also been busy preparing for that. I now have to get the house organized helpppp!

hoteast · 01/10/2007 19:41

Ciao, med again, changed name for the autumn.
Brava pippi, glad you had a good time. Made your pasta e ceci again tonight, soooo delicious.
Franca where did you see the leather UGGs? Black leather you mean? Went to clarks to look at boots but found them a bit dull for the mood I was in.
We are going to try for a baby as soon as dp comes back. Sigh!

francagoestohollywood · 01/10/2007 20:44

Med, I saw them on a woman in town 2 weeks ago, found them on the internet: here. Still debating (tra me e me) whether they'd be worth the money.
Med, I'm sending you lots and lots of fertility vibes
Jane4 happy birthday to little Mia!

OP posts:
francagoestohollywood · 01/10/2007 20:44

forget, Rosa, do you mena you have the cortissimi ones?

OP posts:
Brangelina · 01/10/2007 20:54

Franca, don't do it! I tried a pair on last year and I looked like the cleaning lady at work, mancava solo il grembiule. But then I'm a lot shorter than you so they may look much nicer on a longer pair of legs.

Pippi, I thought the jacuzzi thing was because of strange diseases as the water is stored in the pumps or something, or at least that's what my ginecologa told me, but then she might have been making it up. It does sound implausible now I see it written down.

Am really at all these pgs and planned pgs, I'd love to be pg again, not sure about the baby afterwards but I do miss my pancione (even though a bit is still here).

hoteast · 01/10/2007 20:55

nO, they look a bit too much to me, maybe if were a bit younger...

francagoestohollywood · 01/10/2007 21:05

Do you think so? The woman I saw wearing them was in her late 40s and I thought she looked quite "fine".
But I'm not going to buy anything. I'm a bit stuck stylewise. I always wear the same things: new balance and trousers. Boring. Hopefully I'll buy something in Milano next week.
