Lockdown rolls on, so we're staying in and isolating with the FAF.
The bar is stocked, the floor has been mopped, the tables have been wiped, and the HBFs are however you want them

(We're also doing lots of washing and gardening.)

We finished Luminaries the other night. It’s been very good.

Ah alcohol as a present. After Mother’s Day at work there’d be chit chat about ooo what did you get —no one cares I wanted to say—. Anyway there’d be all the “I got so many beautiful gifts and I felt blessed”. They’d ask me and I’d say “vodka because they know me and I deserved it”

I’ve had a little drink so I am of course sitting watching tv wearing my wedding tiara.

Morning. Today's weather effort includes clouds, sun and more wind. I need to round up DS and get the day started. He's busy with minecraft an hasn't even had breakfast yet. DH isn't up either. Sod it, maybe I should just go back to bed too...

Oh - I finished watching The Capture yesterday (with interruptions), but was a bit confused by what happened with the other male police officer who knew it was a stitch-up and tried to upload the file. What happened to him? Do we assume he just shrugged and moved on? I think I must have missed something. (Am I going to have to re-watch the last episode again?)

DS2 has gone upstairs to get dressed but as per usual that was quite a while ago so he’ll be in his room, still in pyjamas, playing a football game. I shall chivvy him soon.

Today, however, is a special day. I’m getting my hair cut! Hurrah! I can’t bloody wait. I’ve been doing my own fringe which has been fine but I can’t be doing with the length The DC get theirs done in a couple of weeks. They’re sort of Robert Smith of The Cure and a Madchester Noel Fielding.

Hooorah for haircuts!!! Is it going to be all neat and swishy? (Until you step out into the weather at which point it will resemble a haystack again? I may be projecting my own feelings about haircuts and the weather!)

It will be super neat and super swishy. Until the weather gets hold of it. My hair is so boring though it’ll just go “okay then I’ll go back to where I was”.

Geography is ongoing although DS2’s focus isn’t quite what it should be because his mind is on a virtual football match he’s got later today.

We have 'society and ethics', and PE - some random HIT workout on YouTube. DS was horrified never mind that he can't physically do some of the stuff, he also can't do burpees in the house without hitting the ceiling and it's raining outside. I sent him off to do PE with Joe Wicks instead.

I'm sooooooooooooooooooooo bored.

Afternoon. Windy and sunny here, but rather cold. The washing dried though.

I can't remember what happened in The Capture Helen, only that it was set up for another series.

If we lived in the village up the road, it's quite likely that the SwanFamily would appear in the front garden. They do wander around. We're three miles away though so I don't think they'll walk that far.

The predicted trouble materialised, he got a telling off, all okay now.

I’ve been yawning since about 6.30. It’s almost as if my body’s trying to tell me something. What could it be?

Went for a long walk with FancyMan - rather tired legs now. Had to squeeze past a vigilant DaddySwan at one point, god they scare me! Also saw four tiny ducklings which were the most gorgeous things I've seen since the last episode of series 3

Fairly sure it hasn’t stopped raining all day. Told DS2 yesterday I wasn’t sure if he’d be able to organise himself - get dressed at a sensible time, do his schoolwork, etc - without me promoting him. That sort of thing doesn’t usually work on him but it did today

Haven’t done much really. Did the washing up and then had a one woman mini rave in the kitchen to some Faithless —bit tired now—

In the process he's also messed with my phone and moved things to where he thinks would be better and now I can't find anything.

We had a walk this morning. No wildlife apart from a seal bobbing about in the waves. We got back just as it started to rain, so that was good. Then I have worked and baked and... not entirely sure what I've been doing to be honest.

There seems to be something about Tuesdays. Last Tuesday was spectacularly shit, this one has been spectacularly bleeeuuuuurrrrgghhhhhh. I used to not work Tuesdays and every time I ever had to swap the day and go into work, it was always bloody awful. Worse than the other days that week. Based on those and the more experiences, this is obviously scientific fact.

I need to get a grip . Brandon said he’ll assist.
