Lockdown rolls on, so we're staying in and isolating with the FAF.
The bar is stocked, the floor has been mopped, the tables have been wiped, and the HBFs are however you want them

(We're also doing lots of washing and gardening.)

I'm having an early night Oh well.
There's a new series of Penny Dreadful, and frankly I'm not at all fussed.

What a coincidence Helen, I was having an early night too. I saw the trailer for Penny Dreadful the other night. I have a very vague recollection of something of the same name years ago with Eva Green in it? I may be making that up. Hang on, I shall IMDb it. Yes, I’m right and Timothy Dalton was in it too. Is it all part of the same thing do you know?

Kermit sums up my current mood. There’s stuff I need to do and a few errands but CBA to get in the car and go anywhere. I think I need to give myself a shake.

Morning. It's cloudy and windy here, but we've only had a smattering of rain. We are hoping to do chicken-house maintenance. Oh - Chicktoria is no more. She is deceased. She is an ex-chicken.

Re. Penny Dreadful - that's the one LetUs - but they killed off Eva Green at the end of Series 2, and now they've moved the concept to LA in the early 1940s and seem to be using Mexican mythology/religion, and I wasn't particularly interested. I really liked the last two series where they riffed off Victorian gothic - Frankenstein, Dorien Grey, Dracula etc. Maybe this is aimed more at the US market? Don't know. But I've got enough stacked up on the box without adding something else to the backlog. Though DH says he may stick it on the background while he works so he'll tell me if it picks up...

Anyway, here are some weather-appropriate HBFs to give you a shake

I've downloaded The Little Prince thing, well the TB part. I'll give it a listen some time when I'm bored. WTF has he done to his hair? I know he went blond for some role before lockdown, but it's obviously growing out so it's neither one thing or the other.

Every time I think I’ll go for a walk, I look outside and it’s pissing it down. I mean, I know I can go for a walk when it’s raining, but I’d rather not. Although given the fucking racket DH and DC are making whilst watching the football, I might go out anyway.

Chicktoria was, tbh, a good age for a bantam. I just found her this morning in the nest box. She's now pushing up the daisies nettles in the hedge.

LOL at TB hair - this is why I will never dye my hair far from it's natural colour. (He said it was for the job that's was postponed by lockdown.) It's not the worst lockdown hair that I've seen online though.

Anyway, We have been in the garden all afternoon and are relaxing with cake and chocolate. Yum

I did have a bit of a cry at that film. It was lovely and Toby Jones was brilliant.

Windy here and no rain —yet—. I’m going to brave the outdoors for the exercisething.

DS1 not feeling great. He has a headache so I’m being sympathetic for now but shall tell him later it was self-inflicted through late nights and too much screen time.

Oh Helen, you poor thing - I’d suggest Athos gives you a massage but I think your back needs proper attention before you get Athos’s proper attention.

Meant to say I tried Prosecco and elderflower last night Fancy. Don’t know if I got the mix right but it was still lovely.

Exercisething was fucking hard work but it’s done.

Turns out that the remedy for my bad back was to use the massage thingy and then actually get up and move about. So now the tomatoes are tied up and the kitchen worktop has been scrubbed. Productive, if not exactly fun.

Exhausted. Yesterday I cleaned and put away things and then worked a bit.

Today foodshopping, then making a cake, sort off, then more cleaning. Then my mum, sis and niece came over for cake and I got some pressies. Then worked a little bit more. Now making dinner and then the couch

Was quite breezy but not chilly Helen. Good that your back’s improved. Any ideas for making my legs feel normal again?

DH has been trying to match the doorbell video thing up to his new phone. I think he's finally got there, but it hasn't been fun.

We'll watch ep 5 of The Luminaries tonight. I'm enjoying it.

I made a strawberry- and chocolatecake, the sponge cake part was store bought but I filled it with strawberries and whipped cream and also decorated it with chocolate thingies

I got a bottle of Prosecco and a bottle of rosé som I'm very pleased And also a mini puzzle of a London map that is magnetic so you could put it on the fridge if you want to

Was there much swearing apricot? A local chap has been posting clips from his video doorbell of foxes and other wildlife in his front garden on the local FB group. The foxes are very cheeky
