Lockdown rolls on, so we're staying in and isolating with the FAF. Grin
The bar is stocked, the floor has been mopped, the tables have been wiped, and the HBFs are however you want them Grin

(We're also doing lots of washing and gardening.)

I think we have all the rain here. I did almost 10 minutes of PE with Joe, it stopped raining so I went out and did the exercisething. I think I’ve managed to find the only approximately 30 minute time period where it didn’t rain. About five minutes after I got back it chucked it down again.

Oh no at having to keep trying with the Prosecco and cordial to make sure you got the mix right Grin

That doesn’t sound pleasant at all Wicked. Roll on the cooler weather to make life a bit more pleasant.

Going to watch some of my recorded Glastonbury later. Need to get a wash on. Might do one of my new jigsaws.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 27/06/2020 15:21

We have wind, and filthy-dirty clouds, not not much in the way of rain. Driving drizzle is the worst we've had since it got light. I suspect I won't be on my bike today, what with the wind...

DH has football on. Dooooooooooooom...

Evening. Rain, sunshine and wind here.

Many moons ago I used to walk into town in high heels at lunch time, walk round the shops for an hour and walk back to the office, but I can barely stand up in them now. Confused

I love hearing about Houdini's exploits. Smile

I watched the first episode of The Luminaries last night, DH was asleep. I like a budding romance which goes wrong, although I haven't a clue what else is going on or why we have to have the time-hopping thing. Hmm

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 27/06/2020 18:11

That's impressive Apes Star

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 27/06/2020 21:03

Evening all.

I'm still watching The Capture and it's really good . I want to binge the last few, which means getting DH and DS out of the way Hmm Easy enough for DS - that's what the xbox is for. Not so easy with DH.

Had a productive afternoon in the garden, so tonight I will be needing a bath to stop my back seizing up. In the meantime though I need to finish a bit of work really...

LetUsPrey · 27/06/2020 22:01

I’ll only wear heels to work if I know I’m definitely not heading into the town centre, and then they’re more of a block heel.

Yep, The Luminaries time hopping is very confusing.

Err MrHelen, could you come over here a minute and look at this? Yes, just down in the cellar. Dungeon? No no, definitely a cellar. Why am I giving you something to eat and drink? No reason. Yes, in you go. Enjoy The Capture Helen Grin

We had football on earlier too. It’s just as well they all support the same team as I don’t think I could cope with the fucking arguments different teams would produce. It’s bad enough when they’re all on the same side.

We’ve had Glastonbury on again. Playing some highlights and they played one of The Killers’ songs from last year. DH was not in the same room at the time and so did not hear my happy little squeal, nor did he get to see my happy little face Grin

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 27/06/2020 23:02

Awww

Watched another Luminaries. Timelines still quite hard work.

BBC4 was on when it finished and it was Glastonbury 2000. I don’t know how was on but they were jolly loud and quite shouty. Jeez, light a candle and have an aromatherapy massage.

Would you like help finding what you were going to say Helen?

Evening.
Went for a very pleasant walk with FancyMan earlier - bloody windy in places. Have otherwise been doing bugger all, glad I'm having a 4 day weekend as I'm knackered & don't seem to have the energy to do much. Hoping that tomorrow will be better - I have a lot of weeding to do. Oh the excitement! Bin has been steaming away at just under 50 degrees all week, am starting to look forward to emptying the bottom layer soon.

LetUsPrey · 28/06/2020 09:47

Morning wenches.

Four day weekend of not doing much other than a walk sounds just the ticket. Exciting compost news!

I have ironing to do today. Didn’t do any last week so there’s quite a bit. Will also see if parents need anything, although mother got her letter saying she can be released back into the wild. They’ll start slowly though.

I’ve got Foo Fighters on, trying to encourage DS2 towards decent music, and Dave Grohl swore again. DS2 fake gasped and said “Dave, you’re banned from your guitar!” Grin. (I’ve banned DS2 from iPad for his bad language in the recent months)

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 28/06/2020 10:56

LOL at sweary Foo Fighters. That's DS' standard response now if he wants to watch something dubious "Well I have seen the Foo Fighters, and Deadpool." Hmm We were watching Adele last night.

Anyway, it's dry here but windy. I might do some hedge cutting, but no plans really. I also managed to watch another Capture while DH was in the dungeon bed. It's very good, but hard to watch no a bright day, what with so much of it being filmed in the dark. I end up squinting and doing head tilts a lot! I've also baked a cake (yay!) and cleared up cat vom (yuck!).

I think we should all go to Fancy's for a composting party Grin

OP posts:
FancyFancy · 28/06/2020 11:47

Morning

Grin @ DS2's comments letus

Ceremonial first emptying of the compost bin is the most tenuous excuse for a knees up I've heard yet helen. Count me in.

Am feeling more productive today - still haven't actually done anything yet, but feel more likely that I will Think I'll be joining you in doing ironing letus - Foyles War on ITV3 is now up to where I left off, so that will keep me occupied while I do that.

ApricotCrush · 28/06/2020 17:25

Afternoon. Still very windy here with the occasional downpour.

Nice that your Mum can go out LetUs. I'm being very careful although now is probably a good time to get stuff done before we get a second spike.

We watched a bit of Adele at Glastonbury too.

Yay for the steaming bin, The Killers and cake baking.

Will watch ep 2 of The Luminaries later.

LetUsPrey · 28/06/2020 19:18

Evening wenches.

I know what you mean about trying to watch tv in bright light.

I suppose technically it’ll be a garden party Fancy. I’ve also got a Foyle’s War on.

Ironing done.

Exactly right about being careful still Apricot. We’ll probably do ep5 Luminaries later.

LetUsPrey · 28/06/2020 20:00

Went upstairs earlier this afternoon to put my ironing away and have a little tidy up. Ended up reorganising and cleaning the narrow bookcase, getting rid of some stuff, clearing the top of my bedside drawers, moving the drawers out and hoovering the —copious amounts of— dust. I know how to live Grin

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 28/06/2020 20:56

Evening.

at parents being released back into the wild

That's massively productive LetUs (my bedside drawers a re a tip - like the rest of the house in a microcosm really) I have been hedge-cutting and on a walk and made raspberry apple cake for pudding.

Hope that Fancy for the ironing done too.

We watched Wolverine, and now Glastobury is on. Though Nick Cave is not very interesting/exciting. Apparently Ed Sheerin is next.

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 28/06/2020 21:16

Oooooo raspberry apple cake sounds amazing!

All nice and neat and tidy at the end of this episode of Foyle’s War Smile

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 28/06/2020 21:18

WANDERS, FFS....

Though Athos can help me get my waders off if he likes Grin

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 28/06/2020 22:23

I did wonder about the waders Grin

It’s great this being able to pause the telly lark, but on the other hand it’s a complete pain in the arse when DH says just pause it please and goes off to get something or do something. Takes fecking ages to watch stuff.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 29/06/2020 08:40

Morning.

Windy here - one of the plum trees has lost a top branch and split the main trunk Sad It's still attached, so hopefully it will survive until we can harvest the plus, then we'll have to give it a fairly severe pruning session Sad Also, the garden gate is swinging in the wind because it doesn't have a proper latch and it starting to irritate me - tap... tap... tap, etc etc... Can't be doing the gate much good either.

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 29/06/2020 08:55

Morning wenches.

Poor plum tree Sad

Rain and wind here. DH has already gone to work, DC are still in bed. It’s strange it being this quiet. I give it five minutes.

FancyFancy · 29/06/2020 11:51

Morning, still lazing around here - did get all my ironing done yesterday. FancyMan is due to come over later, so hoping it will stay dry enough for a walk, although we'll probably get blown away.....

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 29/06/2020 13:35

Well Fancy - you know wench protocol for tying HBFs things down in this weather...

I'd rather like to be back in bed tbh. Feeling a bit tired and fuzzy-headed for no identifiable reason.

OP posts:
FancyFancy · 29/06/2020 14:49

All that wind brought down a small branch at teh bottom of the garden which squashed a couple of my new plants Sad

ApricotCrush · 29/06/2020 18:18

Evening. Very windy here and cold.

I went to do some errands this morning, it still feels very strange being out and about.

I'm tired and lack-lustre today too Helen, although I don't know why.

We watched ep 2 of The Luminaries. It's kind of compelling although I can't keep up with the time jumping. It's a shame because it's an unusual story but I have no idea what happened when.

Hope everyone has had a good day.
