Lockdown rolls on, so we're staying in and isolating with the FAF. Grin
The bar is stocked, the floor has been mopped, the tables have been wiped, and the HBFs are however you want them Grin

(We're also doing lots of washing and gardening.)

Grinat the thought of MrApricot peering in the supermarket window, giving the thumbs up when he could see you still had your mask on. Hurrah for the wine! Hope the macerator is sorted soon and MrApricot is home.

Why can my NDN not talk quietly when she’s outside? I’ve got headphones on and am listening to something and I can still bloody hear her. She’s not shouting, just having a conversation. Perhaps she thinks what she has to say is very important? It really isn’t.

ApricotCrush · 23/06/2020 19:29

I know LetUs, every time I got to the end of an aisle, there he was. DD also turned up randomly. It's a conspiracy. Grin

Macerator is sorted, thank goodness!

Boo to noisy neighbours.

LetUsPrey · 23/06/2020 19:39

Maybe you could get a mask printed with the words “yes, I’m wearing my mask!” Or possibly one printed with a tongue sticking out.

DH has come home in a foul mood. Brilliant. Luckily my day was filled with sunshine and sparkles and unicorns farting rainbows. FFAS.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 23/06/2020 21:50

Evening all.

DH hates wearing a mask too Apricot - says it makes his breathing go funny/asthma-ish. HUrrah for the macerator being fixed though.

Hope DH's mood has improved LetUs - Dh has put football on, which hasn't improved my mood, I really liked it when there was no sport on TV. Watched another Capture tonight while DS was engrossed in a new release on Minecraft. DH isn't bothered ad isn't watching it, which is annoying because now I can't speculate on the plot with anyone. FFS.

Did Fancy ever get out of bed this morning, or have the HBFs been keeping her entertained?

FancyFancy · 23/06/2020 21:55

Oh I wish helen! left home at 8am, home at 7.30pm and a bit of work this evening to boot.

And the cherry on the cake? Two bonfire wankers this evening, I honestly despair, it's fucking roasting here & I have had to close the windows again. It stinks

LetUsPrey · 23/06/2020 22:24

He did, as the saying goes, give his head a wobble and no longer being a snappy tosser. I also have enjoyed the lack of sport on tv.

Oh Fancy what a pile of shite. Why do people feel the need to have bonfires? Depending on how much it pisses you off and how much you dislike the wankers, these are the rules Bonfire rules

There’s also stuff on your Council’s website which I won’t link to.

Given the fuck up I made last time I tried to post a link, I’ve no idea whether that’s worked. Grin

FancyFancy · 23/06/2020 22:57

Same sort of rules around here letus, trouble is I can't pinpoint exactly where they are coming from today! I do know it's from big enough houses that the people responsible can't excuse it on the grounds of cost

Mind you, a few years ago when the problem was even worse, someone's bonfire spread to a garden building in their garden Grin

LetUsPrey · 23/06/2020 23:31

You’ll have to go round the houses with a clipboard and questionnaire Fancy. Hi, are you a selfish, thoughtless dickhead? Are you having, or have you recently had a bonfire? Sign here please. Grin at bonfire karma.

Grrrr though at knobbers.

Must go to the hayloft. I suspect it will be a bit warm.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 24/06/2020 08:43

Morning. Roasty-toasty outside again, cats are flaked out and I'd like to join them really.

Glad that DH got his act together last night LetUs, and also at bonfire karma - shame it doesn't happen more often (in a way that inconveniences no-one but the wankers.)

I don't want to go to BoringSpareRoomJob.

Morning wenches. DS2 has only just got up!

Sunny and warm here already. We’re off out for a walk as soon as DS2 has had his breakfast and got dressed as part of the school’s week long virtual sports day. Then schoolwork. Then crying in a corner I expect.

Still, it’s sunny.

Athos wants to know if he can help with anything Helen

Morning
Working at home today - well have to drop stuff off at the office later & also ferry DD to & from school, but glad to not have the long commute Smile

Is it too early for Wine letus?

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 24/06/2020 10:35

Athos can help in in whatever way he wants Grin Though I have some ideas to get him started.

Have a nice walk/taxi/mini-commute LetUs & Fancy

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 24/06/2020 14:47

Apparently too little sleep for DS2 = ratbag, too much sleep = ratbag, just the right amount of sleep = ratbag. Got him out for his walk with him stroppily muttering. Kept it going for about the first mile. You have to give him credit for his tenacity. Anyway, did about three miles and we were a bit warm when we got back. Done most of today’s schoolwork.

Hurrah for no long commute Fancy! Wine cheers! It’s always 7 o’clock somewhere in the world.

Athos has a different interpretation of helping you with spreadsheets Helen which I think you’ll enjoy Grin

ApricotCrush · 24/06/2020 17:57

Evening. It's getting a little too hot, but I'm not complaining.

Yes, it's been lovely not having sport on the TV. We've got football on tonight, but it's our team so I'll watch it and get over-excited.

You can do without the bonfires in this weather Fancy. Our next-door neighbour and the new neighbour at the bottom of the garden are having the odd one and it is annoying. In all the years we've been here I've never known anyone have one before.

More wildlife mishaps. DD just sent a pic of a baby robin in her conservatory looking very confused. Confused

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 24/06/2020 21:14

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....

Where's that selection I posted for Fancy?
Athos could do with some lessons on posture I think.

Bloody children LetUs - I had similar from DS. The he whinged that he didn't get a magnum for tea - despite that being tied to the bike ride that he refued to do... Grrrr.

at confused robin Apricot - I met a baby wren on my bike ride today, scuttling along at the side of the road, and Dad has fledgling doves flapping about the place. The joys of nature... It has been bloody hot today though.

Have watched Sewing Bee final. Very much enjoyed it, especially seeing as the final dresses were all of a similar level and no one had a nightmare.

Excellent spreadsheeting skills from the HBFs there. Also important to ruffle the sheets too. That’s where wench skills come to the fore Grin

What are people burning?! Why the need for a garden bonfire?

Walking back from BestFriend’s house the other day, I saw a car slowly come to a stop to let a MotherDuck and her many Ducklings waddle across the road. That was very cute Smile

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 24/06/2020 22:21

Awwww at ducklings Smile

We watched Sewing Bee too, though missed the start I think. DH has had a DISASTER at work today involving servers updates that crashed things and similar Confused He has been very stressed, but it's fixed now - hurrah. That means he can deal with DS, because frankly the little sod is pushing all my buttons tonight. Arghhhhhhhh The bloody attitude on him and lack of willingness to do anything he's asked unless it happens to personally benefit him. FFAS and he's not an actual teenager yet.

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 24/06/2020 22:41

Eeeek at MrHelen’s work disaster but phew for resolution.

You just described DS1 who got an absolute rocket up his backside from me yesterday for just that reason. He was a bit sheepish for the rest of the day but has reverted to type today. He is at least a teenager I suppose.

FancyFancy · 24/06/2020 23:18

Evening
Had a slightly less busy day today and no bonfires - yay! Sorry to hear you have been suffering with them too apricot, so irritating.

Yikes to the servers crashing helen, what a nightmare.

Here's hoping all the teens are easier tomorrow......

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 25/06/2020 09:09

Morning all.

Morning wenches.

Bit hot innit?

How is it where you are Wicked.

It’s a good job DH and I haven’t been furloughed together. He’s on later starts this week so is loitering about “so are you doing this today” “why don’t you do this like this” etc. Grrrrrrrr.

DS2 is at least dressed. Let battle commence!

FancyFancy · 25/06/2020 14:03
LetUsPrey · 25/06/2020 14:08

I just tried eating my lunch outside in the shade. Nope.

And I think it’s hotter where you are Fancy compared to here. How are the TavCats coping?

Schoolwork done except for PE which DS2 enjoys so hurrah!

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 25/06/2020 15:03

I'm dying Confused

ApricotCrush · 25/06/2020 17:03

Afternoon. Oh dear WW. It is a bit much isn't it?

I had a bit of a disaster with the washing this morning when the line broke and everything landed on the terrace. Why is everything so difficult? Why? My sewing machine broke the other day. Fortunately I have a handyman, er, handy, so it soon gets mended but it's so frustrating.

Anyway, as I'm so fed up with getting food all the time, I ordered an afternoon tea from a lady in the village up the road who does them. We had some of it for lunch and there's enough left to keep us going for the rest of the day, so I'm not cooking. Smile

Glad schoolwork went better today LetUs.
