Lockdown rolls on, so we're staying in and isolating with the FAF. Grin
The bar is stocked, the floor has been mopped, the tables have been wiped, and the HBFs are however you want them Grin

(We're also doing lots of washing and gardening.)

Afternoon. Quite a pleasant day here, no rain.

Went for a walk round the lake up the road this morning and saw BaddyDaddySwan and his brood. He really is bad-tempered, he was hissing every time a dog got within 10 metres of him.

I actually ventured into the post office. Shock It's the first time I've been inside a shop for over 3 months. Felt really strange. I would have loved to go into Sainsbury's but the queue stretched for miles.

DS2 did okay today, although I recall last week started well too so no chickens counted.

I like your way of thinking Fancy. We’re helping to relieve the boredom. 😇

Pleased the rain stayed off for you Apricot at BaddyDaddySwan. Living up to the stereotype. Hurrah for post office visit! I still feel a bit weird when I go into Asda. Not sure I’ll be venturing to any shops too soon - can’t be doing with the queuing.

We had some lovely weather earlier and I got two lots of bedding washed. It’s been chucking it down on and off since about 2pm.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 15/06/2020 20:37

That's so selfless of you both - keeping Ilya occupied. Really Thoughtful. Hmm Grin

No rain here, but dreary sea mist has come in.

Sound like BaddyDaddySwan has an overdose of Swan Testosterone. I suppose he's doing what the Alpha Swan is meant to do - nature red in tooth and claw etc.

Limited success with getting DS to catch up on work today. FFS, etc.

Also I need a hair wash. Athos can help with that. In the shower. Mmmmmm

The Thoughtfulness of Wenches. Was going to say it would make a good film, but then realised perhaps only for the very limited audience of the wench and HBF/s involved.

We’ve got a thunderstorm here

Morning wenches.

Dreary today. Full day of rain expected.

DS2 has only got up in the last 10 minutes!

I’m watching Miss Marple before the day properly begins —and descends into urgh—

FancyFancy · 16/06/2020 09:11

Morning

WFH for the day so spared the long commute, glad I'd changed the wipers on Sunday as it chucked it down on the way home yesterday.

I'm not especially concerned about being out and about, but even I don't see the attraction of shopping at the moment. What with the queues and the slightly strange atmosphere it's not very relaxing. The garden centres were fine because they're huge, but being stuck behind someone dithering in Waitrose, unable to access the pink wine essentials you went in for because they're blocking the aisle is not a pleasurable leisure activity Grin

FancyFancy · 16/06/2020 09:13

Oh and 'booooo' and a to BullySwan. Although I expect he could probably outdo me on the latter Grin

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 16/06/2020 12:15

Morning (just) Slept in a bit then just busy with all the usual tedium. Oh god I had a dream that involved kissing David Walliams last night. Bleurgh.

No rain here yet, but it's forecast for this afternoon. Or not - depending on which weather site you look at. How helpful Hmm

Oh. and then I forgot to hit 'post'!

Afternoon.

Oooooh Fancy we've just had a spectacular storm. Much thunder and lightning and hail. The electricity went off, the road was like a lake, the garage was flooded and I left the bedroom window open. Shock

Eeeek about the David Walliams dream Helen.

FancyFancy · 16/06/2020 18:03

Yikes helen Shock

Envy apricot. Pure Envy

I do hope your bedroom is soaking though!

LetUsPrey · 16/06/2020 18:33

Evening wenches.

Today can get in the bin. Crappy weather, DS1 being a pain in the arse know it all, my hormones apparently pingponging all over the place, schoolwork, etc etc blah blah blah.

Can just picture you in Waitrose Fancy with a 2m long stick - like a croupier uses - to push people out of the way from the wine shelves Grin

Crikey at your storm Apricot! We’ve got thunderstorms forecast again this evening.

ApricotCrush · 16/06/2020 20:20

OMG! We've got another one. It's like Armageddon here. Shock

The shoe cupboard in our lobby (covered space between the garage and the house) was flooded and DH got on the roof and found the guttering was all blocked. Fortunately he was able to sort it before it started again. Eeeek, I don't like it.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 16/06/2020 20:28

Sad Apes

It actually rained here today as well, we had sunny and warm for ages now.

A couple of days ago I got a mail from Amazon about a refund, I just assumed it was spam so didn't open it but I got money from them on my bank account so it was actually true! A refund of about £9 because of reduced export fee or something from a porg I bought over a year ago from USA.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 16/06/2020 20:33

FFS - no rain here, so I could have finished the shed painting Angry

Apricot - I suggest you find somewhere dark to hide to avoid the lightning. Plus some sound-proofing for the thunder? Probably swathed in a thick coat, or a cloak, or a nice fluffy cardigan??

and [HBFs] for LetUs (though I've just used up my picture allowance on Apricot )

LOL at Fancy's croupier cattle-prod in Waitrose

Woohoooo for unexpected refund Wicked!

I’m glad I re-read your post Apricot and saw the bit where you said MrApricot sorted the guttering in between storms. I thought he’d been on the roof in a storm and was having a bit of a panic!

Watched a programme about Monaco yesterday so I’ve downloaded the first episode. My brain was boggled by the whole thing.

ApricotCrush · 16/06/2020 20:49

Oh, brilliant WW.

Grin LetUs

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 16/06/2020 21:13

It's after 10 o'clock here and still so light outside but that will change after Midsummer Eve on Friday.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 16/06/2020 21:14

Excellent news wicked - unexpected refunds are fab!

Wine for all wenches. We've just started 'The Capture which was on TV.... months ago. Blush Still, better late than never. Cast includes Holliday Grainger and Laura Haddock - 7 degrees of Kevin Bacon FAF etc...

I think it has the bod from War and Peace that Fancy liked as well.... Callum Turner? (Anatole Kuragin - thank you IMDB)

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 16/06/2020 22:18

Helen - we recorded The Capture too and haven’t watched any of it yet. We’re watching the rest of the Galaxy Quest documentary.

Think I’ll head to the hayloft soon. I’ve got a headache.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 16/06/2020 22:36

OP posts:
SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 17/06/2020 08:36

meh. I need to work, and I can't be arsed today. So that's not the best start.

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 17/06/2020 09:22

Morning wenches.

Headache gone. Think it might be something to do with my glasses.

Yes, Wednesday.

Dream with wenches again. On a train journey this time. Waiting at one station and saw a woman get attacked by someone paid to do it as she was an investigative journalist writing an exposé about Operation Scattor (no idea). And then when we went through the gates I didn’t have the proper ticket so Helen came back but you were having difficulty because of the goldfish in a bowl you were carrying. It somehow escaped into the ticket officer’s office and I had to rescue it. Fortunately it was raining and the fish got into a sort of gutter thing so when it reached the end I caught it and put it back in the vase (bowl had transformed). Fuck knows what’s going on with my brain.

I plan to do the exercise thing and at some point speak to/see BestFriend from a social distance as it’s her Significant Birthday today. This isn’t how we were planning to celebrate it.
