Lockdown rolls on, so we're staying in and isolating with the FAF. Grin
The bar is stocked, the floor has been mopped, the tables have been wiped, and the HBFs are however you want them Grin

(We're also doing lots of washing and gardening.)

Woe LetUs Sad Hidders is very upset that you haven't managed to squeeze him in Wink

Actually managed to watch it this afternoon - was very good - and not just because of his trousers Grin

I went to the store and didn't kill anyone. Think I deserve a Star Grin

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 11/06/2020 17:43

It's warm and sunny here, really not fitting my mood at the moment.

ApricotCrush · 11/06/2020 18:31

Evening. Windy and a bit dull here. Hope it doesn't rain as DH, DS and Son-in-Law have gone to play golf. Which means I have the evening to myself. Hurrah!

Yay for Deep Blue Sea. I saw it at the local cinema but will watch it again.

Well done WW, Star for you.

Wine Cake Gin Chocolate [HBFs] for everyone who feels down.

LetUsPrey · 11/06/2020 18:33

Oh Hidders I’ll always squeeze you in. I shall console myself with having seen the play on the large cinema screen.

Star

Just done my PE with Joe. Having a minute now.

LetUsPrey · 11/06/2020 18:35

I shall try my best to keep the rain up here Apricot. It definitely shows no sign of shifting.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 11/06/2020 20:36

Rain is also set in here for the duration. Hope it holds off for apricot's manshapes.

True LetUs - at least you've seen Hidders in all his glory (or some of it anyway) on the big screen.

how's your day been Fancy?

LetUsPrey · 11/06/2020 21:13

Am going to try my best to watch the next NT Live - Madness of King George.

Think I’ll have a Brew and then hayloft. Trying not to snack as much and I’m feeling quite peckish.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 12/06/2020 08:33

Morning. It's a misty/mizzly/drizzly/damp morning here. Very uninspiring. I shall be in spreadsheet/finance reconcilliation hell again... Doooooooooooooooooooooooom.

In other thoughts, did anyone watch Staged? It made us snigger quite a lot. Also, What We Do In The Shadows is back as well. DS is looking forward to it. We saw a bit last night (without DS) and it was very 'not terribly suitable viewing' for DS. Oh dear.....

Morning wenches.

Dull here and expecting rain. Will try to fit my run in before any showers.

We’re getting quotes for some roofing work. Got recommendations and some off Checkatrade with great reviews. One was supposed to come this morning at 9. Not turned up, no phone call. One came a few weeks ago, phoned last week to apologise for not being in touch and asked for an email address. Nothing else from them. Doesn’t fill me with confidence for the others.

It’s Friday, schoolwork almost done, other positive stuff, rainbows. FAF!

LetUsPrey · 12/06/2020 12:02

I’ve done 1.5 episodes of Staged. Love it!

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 12/06/2020 12:47

FFS at tradesmen who never get back to you. HBFs wouldn't do that. That's why they're better than real life.

LetUsPrey · 12/06/2020 16:09

Roof man has been. Very apologetic - lots of emergency work following the bad weather, didn’t have DH’s number apparently. Anyway, measurements taken so we wait for the others next week.

Pity we can’t combine HBFs and real life.

Have done the next part of C25K. Washing done, kitchen tidy. Got a new microwave yesterday but I’m not sure it can go/I want it to go in the same place as the previous one. That’ll be an exciting “discussion” to have with DH this evening.

ApricotCrush · 12/06/2020 17:23

Afternoon. Thunderstorm was forecast for this morning, but it never materialised. Just dull and cold.

Will check Staged out.

You'd think they'd be desperate for the work LetUs. No-one can do anything right these days. Angry

I've been making some masks. Hope we need them or it's going to be a bit of a waste of time. Confused

ApricotCrush · 12/06/2020 17:24

Oh, your latest post has just appeared. Glad he turned up eventually.

LetUsPrey · 12/06/2020 18:07

Today’s forecast yesterday showed thunderstorms here too but they’d disappeared by this morning.

I think the masks will still be needed Apricot, and if not you could convert them to eye masks and look mysterious like Zorro!

Peter Capaldi has just pitched up in this episode of Foyle’s War.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 12/06/2020 20:49

Yay for apologetic tradesmen. (Though we'd still prefer HFBs)

I'm sure we'll need masks, Apricot - esp when the government decide to follow the science by ignoring it and reduce the 2m distance thing to 1m.

I'm well impressed with your C25K LetUs I'm still biking most days, but it's a bit more of a chore than a novelty now. And the weather doesn't exactly inspire me to get outside Hmm

Hope that Fancy and Wicked have had a good day.

Presented DH with two ideas re microwave. I knew he’d hate one of them which would make the other a better option. If I’d just suggested that one, he’d have said no Grin. Usually I wouldn’t give too much of a stuff, but he’s the one who uses the kitchen the most.

I’ve been very lucky with the weather with the C25K - managed to dodge the rain, although it was a bit bloody breezy today. Legs are very sore though

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 12/06/2020 23:07

Cunning plan LetUs - that was suitably devious and hurrah for getting the microwave sorted. Now, lie down and let the HBFs get to work...

Hayloft for me...

LetUsPrey · 12/06/2020 23:22

Why thank you Helen Grin

Been trying to find a few bits and bobs for DH’s birthday, from the DC really, but I like to get him some small treats. Father’s Day is sorted. He is a typical pain in the arse to buy for.

I shall head to the chateau where Aramis can rub everything better.

FancyFancy · 12/06/2020 23:55

Evening
Well that was an interesting week. Work, work and then some more work. And I'm expected to work on Monday. Or so I found out today. And the cherry on the top of that particular cake is that all the very involved work on that client that my boss has always done himself & which we have been saying for aaages he ought to pass onto someone cheaper else, he asked whether I'd like to do it. Well yes I probably would but whether I have enough hours in the day to do it given I don't have extra staff to pass my work onto is quite a big question. FFS. Do you think having 'I ONLY WORK FOUR DAYS A WEEK' tattooed on my forehead would help? And if so, what font size would be needed to get the point across?

At least today I got some good news - DS has got a job Smile
Oh, and the compost bin has been steaming away nicely all week - was at 60 degrees centigrade this morning Grin

LetUsPrey · 13/06/2020 09:16

Morning wenches.

That sounds fairly crap Fancy. Perhaps he thinks the four days are particularly stretchy for some reason. I’d consider some sort of hat or crown with the words “I ONLY WORK FOUR DAYS A WEEK” across the top of it with the option of making the words flash for extra emphasis.

Well done to FancyDS! That’s fab news. And oooo at steaming compost bin!

Lovely sunny day today. I plan to not do very much.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 13/06/2020 10:36

Morning. Is also lovely sunny here - hot already. I shall be shed painting when I'm not mooching online. Or weeding. Or basking on Fancy's compost bin.

Fancy - yay for DS job, and I think you need it written in the Fuck OFF font. Possibly convert the 'days' to your contracted hours as well, for emphasis.

I hope that Aramis was suitably thorough last night LetUs - or actually - that he did his best, but you'll need more attention today as well. The HBFs can form a rota Grin

OP posts:
FancyFancy · 13/06/2020 11:46

Morning
I hope helen & letus are lounging around in the sun.

I love the idea of a crown with flashing lights letus, genius Grin

@ Fuck OFF font, I need that in my life

Some gardening is called for as it's sunny, am also mum-cabbing later - DD is meeting up with some friends, she's only seen one so far since lockdown started, luckily it's sunny here, or it would've been a soggy meet up.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 13/06/2020 13:17

So impressed by your running Letus Star And how smart to make your DH think that he actually made the choice about the microwave Grin
