Lockdown rolls on, so we're staying in and isolating with the FAF.
The bar is stocked, the floor has been mopped, the tables have been wiped, and the HBFs are however you want them

(We're also doing lots of washing and gardening.)

Evening. Cake MkII is out of the oven and looking less like it's been dropped on the floor than the first one did.

Biscuit dough is still in the fridge. Will make them tomorrow. I have to go and start the icing really.

Another beautifully sunny day here which I will enjoy through my office window . But I still have a job and I’m being re-furloughed so I’m doing okay really.

It's a bit disappointingly cloudy here . When you are off on furlough again LetUs ? (And your logic is quite sound, btw... I will bring some to the next meet-up)

DS woke up at 4:30 - FML. We are all a bit trashed today, ChezSisterHelen... Still, today we have the excitement of BoringSpareRoomJob... I'm sure that will be scintillating and exciting and keep me awake and alert.

Afternoon, lovely day here, much sitting in the sun and listening to the jet-washing from two doors away, the hammering from the house at the end of the garden and shooting from the field opposite. I resorted to earplugs but they only muffled it a bit.

You're making me want to go to Lidl even more for the pain au chocolate WW.

I have found some off-cuts of curtain fabric which might work Fancy, when I get round to it. DS has brought some jeans round to be mended. He's practically ripped a pocket off, so it's not an easy job, but will have to be done before masks.

Watched ep 2 of The Pale Horse. It's so serious and quite boring. The only good part was when creepy wife imagined hitting the smoking woman in the head with the meat.

I think I’m going to finish watching Foyle and then go to bed. At least I’ll watch it once DH has made himself a drink in the blender. I think we have the world’s fucking loudest blender. I have to pause the TV - the horror - whilst he’s using it. And then after when he cleans the fucking thing.

Evening all. I feel like I've either been working or cooking for the past two days . Still, all done now.

I'm very much hoping that DS will sleep better tonight. He seems to be getting progressively worse at getting to sleep as lockdown goes on, though at least (until today) he's been sleeping in later (until 7:30am!!!)

Crap sleep (hope MiniHelen’s was better than it has been) and weird dreams featuring at various stages Susan Calman (nice part), deciding to go on a course for work and then fretting about getting there (anxiety part), and a man who was still alive despite being in parts so he could smuggle himself to South America in a tall crate with a load of stolen rubies (the WTAF part).

I have mostly been outside weeding because it's gorgeous out there. Unfortunately I have the unrealistic deadline today, so must crack on with that...

Most disappointed at the aborted rocket launch last night, hoping Saturday goes ahead.

Oh - forgot about the rocket launch - it was cloudy our way anyway. Apparently there was a good view of the Space station as well - if there had been any view of the sky that wasn't 'clouds' last night.

I've mended DS's jeans. I get all the mending jobs. Why is it no-one in the younger generation of our family can sew? Even DH can sew on a button and machine a straighter line than me.

Sorry to say Helen but DS1 still behaves like MiniHelen about games downloading, albeit not at 7.30am. Hope you’ve wrestled the deadline to the floor, and are perhaps rolling about on the floor with it like an HBF.

The deadline is currently winning - FFS... Back to work again.

It’s an HBF Helen. It’s Athos. Wrestle with that deadline and get on top of it!

To be honest though Wicked, buying wine is quite exciting. I like choosing my fruit cider in the supermarket.
