Lockdown rolls on, so we're staying in and isolating with the FAF. Grin
The bar is stocked, the floor has been mopped, the tables have been wiped, and the HBFs are however you want them Grin

(We're also doing lots of washing and gardening.)

Very handy ones Wicked Grin

Owwww Helen. Doctor Athos says he’ll definitely gaze into your eyes and, if you want, he’ll carry on with the poking theme (just not in your eye obviously) to distract you from the pain.

Fancy - just seen a trailer for Foyle’s War. They’re showing it from the very beginning on ITV3 from tomorrow.

Hayloft time for me.

LetUsPrey · 25/05/2020 09:38

Morning wenches.

Beautiful day here, part of which I will spend ironing. Should have done it yesterday. Ah well, can’t change that. Am going to have a shower, get the ironing done and then go for a walk.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 25/05/2020 11:34

Morning. Also beautiful here and roasting hot already (I say already, but seeing as it's nearly midday, that's not really saying much.) and hardly any wind now. I predict many BBQs, and a walk sounds like a good plan. With added Magnums... Grin and HBFs - of course.

Eye is much better today thank goodness

Shower and ironing done. Been for a walk to drop something off at my sister’s. Had a chat from the bottom of the drive. It was a bit blinking warm.

Good that your eye’s better. All the better to watch what’s going on with Athos.

Going to go and sit outside for a bit.

ApricotCrush · 25/05/2020 17:32

Afternoon. Lovely day here, not much done, although I have now crossed 10 things off the 14 on the to-do-list. Yay!

One of them is make fancy masks at the request of DD. There are some good YouTube videos, but I have to sort out some appropriate fabric. That one will probably be the last to get done.

Talking about masks, I do wish they would make them mandatory in supermarkets etc. It would release so many people from prison lockdown. It's my current life ambition to go to Lidl. I dreamt I was in a supermarket the other night, and I'd forgotten what to do and hadn't got my card with me. Confused

Glad the eye's better Helen. I remember spending an afternoon in A&E with DH once when he poked himself in the eye in the garden. Hmm

LetUsPrey · 25/05/2020 19:20

Well done at crossing off so many jobs Apricot!

There’s a good how to make a mask guide on the BBC website. From super simple that even I should be able to do to something a bit more complicated. I’ve a cheap t shirt that’s got a mark on the front of it, so I’ve put that to one side. Here’s to you being in Lidl before you know it Apricot, buying their delicious croissants (if you like croissants)

Have been outside for most of the afternoon, reading, headphones on, drinking Pimms. Lovely.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 25/05/2020 19:39

Crap day. Yuk. Early night for me and hope I feel better tomorrow.

LetUsPrey · 25/05/2020 20:10

Hope you have a good night’s sleep and feel loads better tomorrow Wicked.

Just remembered I need to take this nail polish off because it’s looking a bit tatty. Such a hard life.

FancyFancy · 25/05/2020 20:15

Thanks for the Foyles' War heads up letus, have made a note of the time so I can catch the series I missed.

Have been doing more gardening - don't think I need to be generating more waste, but the weeds aren't co-operating & will keep growing. Anyhow, having fun moving some of the pretty weeds to the bottom of the garden where the grass doesn't grow.

Am working at a client's tomorrow, so doing a bit of prep now as I feel strangely unprepared! One of them is coming in for us & all the rest are furloughed - there'll be a grand total of 3 of us so we can sit about 5 metres apart.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 25/05/2020 20:27

Fecking migraine... though it's mostly gone now.

Glad everyone's had a good day - apart from Wicked

What are the links apricot?/LetUs I should really get round to making some too, but I'm too lazy to google for a pattern Hmm

Moving pretty weeds is always fun Fancy Grin Good luck with work tomorrow.

Sad at migraine. Hope it goes completely soon.

We’re trying DEVS again. Not really sure what’s going on but we’ll see.

Prep done & now enjoying a cup of tea.

I have an awful lot of primroses from one large clump that has self seeded over the years & dog violets too. One of my neighbours has a lovely garden - some ferns & a euphorbia from there have sprouted in my garden, so those have been relocated Grin . Am also attempting to propagate honeysuckle from the invading stems from the other neighbour.

LetUsPrey · 26/05/2020 07:40

Morning wenches.

That’s good about the bonus plants Fancy! As long as nothing unwelcome invades, then yes good new.

First thing at work to deal with is trying to get a meeting set up for someone who can be a bit of an arse if things don’t go their way. It’s the same thing as from a couple of weeks ago when the shit hit the fan and I did manage to sort it, so I hope I can remember what I did. At least this is part of my job and what I’ve had training in and what I get paid for .... oh hang on, no it isn’t. Still, one will do one’s best.

I’m off to google dog violets and euphorbia. Oooo pretty!

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 26/05/2020 08:38

ROFL at epic linking attempts/fails Grin Good luck with the work meeting. I'm doing lots of flex at work this week I think (so random hours here and there), and online training courses (oh joy)

Ooooh at propagating honeysuckle. One of the best ways it to layer it - if it hasn't done that itself. (Bury the end/ middle of a trailing stem in the ground, and then it will develop its own roots. The you can lop it off from the parent plant, and move the new plant to where you want it.

Right - I must crack on - I have promised to do lots of baking for a birthday and the migraine yesterday has rather thrown things off schedule Confused plus I've found that one of my main ingredients is rather past its best and needs replacing. argh argh and argh again...

ApricotCrush · 26/05/2020 15:37

Afternoon. Much warmer here, but overcast.

Hope you're feeling better today WW.

I do indeed like croissants LetUs and I know Lidl's are very good, but I don't buy them regularly. The best ones I ever had were at the hotel in Prague. I only had cereal for breakfast so I pinched one from the buffet table every morning together with a little pot of honey and had it for my lunch with some fruit sat in the car at one of the locations. Happy times. Smile

Those masks on the BBC site are good, I'm thinking of something like the third one, looks easy enough.

Ah, I think we have one of those in the front garden. Very pretty. You're gardening skills are very impressive Fancy, as are Helen's. I wish I had green fingers but gardening is mostly lost on me.

Hope Helen's migraine has gone and the baking is going well.

ApricotCrush · 26/05/2020 15:54

This is the mask DD liked. It is lovely. I'm still looking for some suitable fabric. I really can't quite believe that masks are becoming a fashion item. Confused

Baking update:
Cake - failure. unless the cake is meant to be 'Roadkill, possibly from Star Wars.'
Meringues - either in fragments or still glued to the parchment paper.
Biscuit - dough is in the fridge. It would be nice if they turned out ok...

Still - onwards. Freelance job has just asked if I can 'get it all done this week'. Nope. Not unless 'it' is my HBF of choice, in which case I'm more than happy to doooooo iiitttttt all week.

FML etc etc...

Evening wenches.

Meeting went well —when they eventually sent the link through—

Mmmm croissants and honey for a picnic lunch. I remember doing similar on holiday in Italy a billion years ago. Beautifully soft rolls from breakfast with gorgeous white butter. Lovely mask but how did she get it on over those earrings or do the earrings go on after?

Oh dear at the unsuccessful baking Helen. Fingers crossed for the biscuits.

Grin at your work wish Helen. Wouldn’t that be wonderful if when work say “can you do it as soon as possible?”, they meant HBFs.
