I've lost it from my watched threads and can't find it by searching either, am I just being stupid?

Aww Egg...I bet ds has been so active at nursery that he sleeps fine..fingers crossed.

Squonk - you are living proof that having children is natures best contraceptive.

Egg - are you going away somewhere soon?

I am so full of cold I can't breath through my nose and when i swallow i feel like i'm suffocating..
And i found a wedding dress i like and it's been discontinued and they only have a teeny size left...

Egg · 27/09/2007 14:55

Ahhh Fred double shite. Poor you. Forgot to ask how you and DD3 were today . Perhaps some hot whiskey will help (for you not DD3, although maybe...).

Crap about the dress. Why is it discontinued? Do they have anything similar? Can you show us as it is not the one you will get????????????????????????

Off now to see Mr Ob. Will he look at my bits?

Dropdeadfred · 27/09/2007 15:08

I am madly searching the net for it...just know that even after a major diet i wouldn't fit into a size 8!!!

fryalot · 27/09/2007 15:20

fred: I was last a size 8 when I was younger than 8 I think

Good luck egg, have no idea what they will do to you.

Am knackered, sick and achey - apart from that everything's fine

got to go and get dd2 from nursery in a mo and I know I should be looking for ds's other wellie boot, but....

Dropdeadfred · 27/09/2007 16:43

Squonk..tired and sick? Hmmmmmmmmm another test due tomorrow methinks..

Dropdeadfred · 27/09/2007 16:43

Squonk the only size 8 I will ever see again will have a 1 in front of it...

Dropdeadfred · 27/09/2007 16:44

Or I could get two size 8's and sew them together...

fryalot · 27/09/2007 19:00

I suspect I would need 3 size 8s

Will give it a few weeks before I test again - probably just sick, tired and achey because I'm coming down with a bit of a cold (obviously, when I give it to dp, not only will it have evolved into manflu but it will be all my fault)

Anyway, going to try and get a bit of a nap on the settee - if I can keep the monsters little angels from jumping on me

Egg · 27/09/2007 19:31

Right that's it. The minute you need to sleep in the day is a SURE sign something is up... On the Sunday a few days before I tested I just HAD to go back to bed or I would have died.

Of course it could be flu. And if your DP gets it will definitely be manflu. DH has manflu permanently at the mo. He thinks he might be allergic to something in this house (me perhaps????).

Anyway, hosp appt was ok, bit too much sugar in wee so need to check it again with midwife at next appt, but it could have been because i was gorging on choc before I went so we will see. It is actually a good wake up call as I have been going way overboard on sweet things lately so it will do me good to cut down anyway.

DS was apparently a star (of course) today at nursery. He even went to sleep in the middle of the room on a mat with all the others, something I would never imagine him doing as he has always gone in his cot, with the door closed. He only slept for an hour but I am still very proud . He was beginning to get a bit whimpery by the time I collected him at 5pm tho, and had a major meltdown shouting for kitkats about 6:30 so he went to bed early.

I just bought some size 8 maternity shorts for my holiday. They are ridiculously huge. I got a 10 first and they just literally fell all the way to my feet, so have changed for an 8 and they are still loose. WTF! They are Jojo Maman Bebe and they always come up a size bigger but still, no idea who made these, they need their eyes tested. I have gained nearly half a stone in the last 3 weeks!

Hope you are both feeling better, from your colds / morning sickness or whatever .

Dropdeadfred · 27/09/2007 20:26

Egg - go away with your size 8 maternity shorts thhhhhwwwwwwpppp!!!!!!!!!!!9lows big raspberry and sulks)

fryalot · 27/09/2007 20:56

size 8 too big! That means that technically she is a size 6, which iirc is an American size zero and we should all shun her for being too thin

of course, we won't

does 7pm class as daytime? If so, you might be right. Slept for ten minutes then someone rang (phone NEVER rings) and I had to wake up and talk to them.

Dp fell asleep on the train again and has just got in. When I ring him to make sure he's awake he tells me off - "I don't need a bloody babysitter to make sure I'm not asleep" and when I don't ring him, he falls asleep, wakes up in Scarborough and has to wait till 8pm to get the sodding train home again. Men!

Anyway, just came to turn puter off as it's bed time (feel like shit) so will see you tomorrow... egg - you will send us a cyber postcard, won't you

Egg · 28/09/2007 09:10

Aherm. I was trying to say that the shorts were ridiculously sized. I am not a size 6. I am a 10/12. Honest.

I feel a bit crappy today. Head hurts, nose hurts, throat hurts. Just in time for holiday TOMORROW.

Poor DS, his nappy came off in the night and he was soaked at midnight. Whole bed had to be stripped .

How are you all today?

fryalot · 28/09/2007 09:25

I slept ok - only got up twice (each time to put a child in our bed) and I felt better when I got up this morning, but now I feel a bit crappy again.

Will maybe do some housework - haven't done any all week and the house is a disgusting tip - see if that perks me up a bit.

Ooh, egg, I didn't realise you were going on holiday are you going anywhere nice?

What did you do with ds after the bedwetting episode? or did you manage to get it dry enough for him to go back in it?

How are nemo and dory today?

marmitemad · 28/09/2007 09:29

Hello everyone,

internet connection wouldn't work yesterday so no posting from me .

sorry to hear about colds, we went to see my friend yesterday who fed our cat while we were away and they were all full of cold so I suspect we might get it soon. dd has not really had a proper cold yet but I have and found it very difficult looking after 8 week old lo when feeling like shite.

dd was really good on the flight out but grizzled a lot on the way home as she was tired but wouldn't go to sleep. she is still on Menorcan time atm as well and keeps waking up at 6am!!!

Size 8 shorts , maybe we should all go shopping at Jojo Maman Bebe? I got their new catalogue yesterday and they have some lovely maternity stuff.

my dh moans when I ring him on the train to wake him up as well but then moans when he stays asleep and wakes up in Reading (or other random places).

We are going horse racing to Ascot today, I haven't been since they redeveloped the stands so hoping it stays dry and is not too busy .

off now to have ready brek in bed .

Dropdeadfred · 28/09/2007 10:09

Hi all - I have to drag my thumping head and ruuny nose out the house today to take dd2 to the orthodontist..her dentist think she may need braces.. That will look nice on my wedding pics!!

Egg - we're only teasing we know you're HUUUUGE really...
I measured my waist yesterday and it's bigger then yours and you have doublke yolkers in there!! Sob...
I hope you didn't get my cold through the internet Sound slike you've got what your DP has...

Squonk..you get out of bed to put the littlies IN???
Why?

Marmite - good to have you back.

fryalot · 28/09/2007 10:14

Marmite - glad it's not just my dp who falls asleep on trains - on the way back, the guard came to make sure he was awake to get off at his stop

Fred - dd2 just gets out of her bed and comes in with us, last night she woke me up as she was climbing in.

When ds woke up, I had a choice of sitting in his room for an hour or so trying to get him settled or just giving in and putting him in with us - so I bottled it and chose the easy, easy option Normally I try to settle him again, but I just felt so ill that I couldn't be bothered.

My wedge basket bag thing didn't come today.

Have cleaned kitchen and about to make a start on living room.

Marmite - races sounds like lots of fun, do you have to wear a hat or is that just Royal Ascot?

marmitemad · 28/09/2007 10:48

contacting the train guard sounds like a brilliant idea, I wonder how to go about it next time dh is coming home from London?

I'm not looking forward to when dd can get out of bed on her own but am aiming to be strong and not let her in bed with us .

no need for a hat as we are going in the cheap, chavvy bit (although looking out the window I might have to get my woolly bobble hat out ). First time we've done this so will be interesting as last time I couldn't believe how rude and unhelpful people were in the more upmarket areas, it actually made me not want to go back to ascot, so we started going to windsor instead, dh is feeling excited about seeing how dd is going to react to the horses .

Egg · 28/09/2007 13:16

We will be moving DS to a bed before Christmas and I am looking forward to it and dreading it at the same time. Just feel he will learn to climb out of cot soon and might hurt himself.

Got a bit of a fright an hour or so ago. Was upstairs hanging up the washing, DS was watching tv downstairs and I heard someone opening our front door with a key. Had just spoken to DH who was very definitely at work. Turns out the bloody estate agents handed out the key saying the place was empty to the man coming to fit some curtains. We had no prior warning that anyone was even coming, let alone that he would have keys. I could have been in the bath / bed / having sex with the next door neighbour.... .

Hope the colds are a bit better. Mine is now not too bad, just got to get on and finish packing for my holiday - OH MY GOD did I forget to tell you we are going on holiday? Tomorrow????? To Portugal????????????????? Yes, TOMORROW.

Marmite I used to love going to the races. We used to go with my parents to Kempton Park when we were younger. Not been for ages though.

Egg · 28/09/2007 14:05

Oh forgot to say, luckily he has a waterproof fitted sheet under his normal fitted sheet, and we have two sleeping bags, lots of pyjamas etc, so all was well once we peeled his wet stuff off. Poor lad.

Almost packed now!

Egg · 28/09/2007 14:33

Just checked weather forecast for hols. Thunderstorms on Sunday and rain on Monday .

Dropdeadfred · 28/09/2007 14:33

Egg- I hope you have a fantastic time!!

Did you know that dd3 is still in her cotbed? I am hoping to leave her in there as long as poss ( I'm thinking maybe 5-6 yrs )

She has never made any serious attempts to get out of it and I'm glad to know she can't wander around in the night and trip over anything..I guess this will all have to change when we face the inevitable potty training but I'm holding of that one at the mo ( too cold is my excuse - plus she shows no signs of being ready apart from running off to do a poo).

Squonk and marmite - you're quiet today..hope all is well.

fryalot · 28/09/2007 14:39

fuck fuck fuckity fuck

(sorry)

dp's car failed its mot.... horrendously. Car not worth fixing. Tax due on Monday. No mot.

No money.

fuck

Dad offered to lend us a grand to get new car, which had me in tears, the cheapest one I can find (bearing in mind how many seats we need) is this one for three and half grand.

Bollocks.

Anyway, egg, have a lovely holiday if I don't chat to you before you go. Weather forecasts are crap, probably wrong.

Fred: if ds hadn't come along, dd2 would still be in her cot as well!

Marmite - you need to get the guard's mobile number and threaten to stalk him if your dh EVER oversleeps on his train again

Dropdeadfred · 28/09/2007 14:49

sorry Squonk..

Is this sort of thing any good, even as a stopgap?

7 seater?

Dropdeadfred · 28/09/2007 14:53

Or this not that far from you?

Dropdeadfred · 28/09/2007 14:55

Even closer?
