what has happened to the Zappata roll call thread in chat?

marmitemad · 06/09/2007 22:12

I've lost it from my watched threads and can't find it by searching either, am I just being stupid?

OP posts:
ShinyHappyPeopleHoldingHands · 26/09/2007 13:44

Oh. Is it a pram? [disappointed] If so I'll feck orf

Egg · 26/09/2007 13:47

Hehe, I had to look at the Scuttlebuggers thread as it kept popping up, and I could only guess they were like us and had started chatting about Scuttlebugs (think they are some kind of toy thing for toddlers but would need you to help me there!), and then carried on with their chat because they liked it...

We started chatting on a thread about Quinny Zapps, and became friends due to our love of the non-reclining / non-basket buggy... We now know so much about each other that we feel like old friends so just come here to chat about our exciting lives!!! Anyone is welcome to join in, we have one honorary member who has no Zapp but likes to talk crap with us...

Egg · 26/09/2007 13:48

Just seen your second post. Yes, just a buggy. Sorry . A nice one though...

fryalot · 26/09/2007 14:08

I appear to be a magnet for weird thread titles... I am a scuttlebugger as well (the word is an obscure one meaning "gossip")

so basically, shiny, they're both just chat threads

ShinyHappyPeopleHoldingHands · 26/09/2007 14:24

Oh don't apologise.. .. just that Zappata sounds so exotic!

DS has a funky-sounding wheelchair (Blade II! ) so maybe I'll fit on on those grounds! (I don't like the fecker tho.. makes my back ache!)

(That's the wheelchair I don't like.. not DS.. although he does make my back ache.. and is often a little fecker.. and indeed sometimes I don't like him, it's true!)

See.. I'm talking crap.. I ought to stay really...

fryalot · 26/09/2007 14:37

You definitely ought to stay

Blade II sounds really fast and super-hero-ish but if it makes your back ache then not so good

How old is he? (ds, not the wheelchair)

Egg · 26/09/2007 14:46

LOL you two . My DS loves wheelchairs (Shiny he is 19 months and does not have or need a wheelchair). He thinks they are great because of the huge wheels. He is always trying to touch them .

Dropdeadfred · 26/09/2007 14:47

Egg - the pear looks good, but I know what you mean about the look of the bottom carrycot...Howver I do thi nk when they small enough to be in those they sleep alot and don't look around that often..i guess you could just draw straws alternate who goes in the botom one?

Egg · 26/09/2007 14:51

Very true. The carrycots only suit them up to about 4/5 months, depending on size. Then they can go in the proper seats.

I forgot I was cooking some mince for DS's cottage pies in the oven, and left it without stirring for 30 mins. It had turned into one big lump of mince .

Dropdeadfred · 26/09/2007 15:25

Hmmmmm...mental note to turn down any dinner invite of Eggs

Egg · 26/09/2007 15:27

DS has been asleep for nearly three hours again. Wondering if I should wake him. Yesterday I really felt he needed to catch up as he had been for so many nights without a proper full sleep. I am kind of restless now. Wish I had bothered to do the mash as well, but thought I had left it too late. Ah well, would only have burnt the spuds .

Dropdeadfred · 26/09/2007 15:31

why would you want the mash now? are you going to roll the lump of mince in and make a snowball?

Does ds sleep properly at night if he sleeps so long in the day?
DD3 has cold and so do I...

Egg · 26/09/2007 15:34

Ah no I resurrected the mince. Mashed it up a bit with a fork and it's right as rain! I should still get six mini DS-size pies out of it, ready to freeze for emergencies.

He slept better last night than he has for over a week, after his super long sleep at lunch yesterday. He sleeps badly if he is overtired. Usually though, when he is 100%, I don't let him sleep longer than 2.5 hours. He is at nursery ALL DAY tomorrow and I don't think he will sleep well there...

V for you having a cold, and DD3. No fun. DS is only just recovering from his. So far I have not quite succumbed, just keep getting sore throat at night. Hope yours is not a bad one.

Dropdeadfred · 26/09/2007 15:39

dd3 was crying for half an hour at about midnight..i had her on my knee and she eventually fell asleep but was very snotty and snored like mad - she slept til 9.30 though!

Are you getting big now Egg? We need pics!!!

fryalot · 26/09/2007 15:48

aww - poor dd3 tis awful when they're ill.

Ds has a very runny nose, but luckily no other symptoms (yet)

yeah, egg, we need pics of your bump

Egg · 26/09/2007 16:47

Ah yes must get some pics. Did I mention we are off on hols in THREE days? I will get DH to take some of my gut and then post them on here when I get back. If you can wait that long... I am definitely quite fat now. 35.5 inches round...

fryalot · 26/09/2007 16:54

35.5 inches!

Eat some more pies and you may catch up with me

Egg · 26/09/2007 17:27

LOL. From what. I happened to see (wasn't stalking honest ), maybe yours will get BIGGER too. I had a peek at the TTC Oct just to see if you had signed up, and you mentioned feeling sick. Didn't tell us though, your oldest and dearest FRIENDS did you???????????????????????

Hehehe.

Fred, didn't you say your AF was due around now? Any news?

Can anyone remember how long marmite is away for? A week and she would be back today.

DS ate a whole lovely cottage pie. It was fine. Quite tasty in fact. He ate some broccoli too. I am very pleased with him so I am letting him watch an episode of Balamory from his DVD while I play on MN tidy up.

fryalot · 26/09/2007 17:37

nothing to tell.

Found an old test mouldering at the back of the bathroom cupboard and it was a definite NO - not that that means that my tummy won't get any bigger, just that it will all be down to chocolate

And I know you're not stalking, I pop into the due in Feb thread every so often to see how you're getting on (although I haven't for a while....)

Good to see the playing on mn tidying up is going well

Dropdeadfred · 26/09/2007 19:06

Hi Egg..only day 29 and tbh my cycles have been up the creek since last mc so I know I'm not preggers and won't be wasting money on a trst..( even went to the chemist today to buy some vicks and was not in the slightest tempted).

I'm going to TGI's tonight so my belly will be alot bigger..

marmitemad · 26/09/2007 22:10

Hellooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, I'm back.

Can't believe I've been away from MN for a whole week. so much chatting to catch up on, its taken me ages (in between dh moaning).

Had a fabby time but its nice to be in our own house, dd had ups and downs but enjoyed tasting chocolate ice cream and naan bread. new pics on profile if you're feelign nosey.

Fred - Love the chocolate and brown theme, I wore ivory and didn't have any official bridesmaids (will try and dig out a pic sometime but it was 7 years ago and I only have negatives) but am now desparate for someone to get married so dd can wear a pretty dress.

We have a new shape Zafira and sometimes it isn't big enough for all our stuff but then we do have to carry my wheelchair which is a boring Quickie RXS in bright purple but it has "Quickie" plastered over the back of the seat in large white letters which always makes my friends giggle when we've had a few too many glasses of wine . I preferred the Grand Scenic but it was a struggle to fit it in our garage and I hate defrosting the car in winter.

Shiny - my wheelchair has height adjustable handles which is useful for the pushers (they were an expensive add on though).

Egg - Thanks so much for the text, I was very excited to see the news but forgot to top up my credit and I hate ringing Vodafone so couldn't reply. Twin buggy shopping looks very exciting, my favourite is the ICandy Pear. Where are you going on holiday and when are you back?

Exciting to hear about ttcers (or not?), I'm a teeny bit envious.

I need to find the scuttlebuggers thread as they sound similar to wheelybugs and I want to get one for dds 1st birthday.

sorry for long waffly catching up post, off to bed now.

OP posts:
fryalot · 27/09/2007 08:13

Marmite! Glad you had a fab time dd certainly looks like she is enjoying her chocolate ice cream!

Dp was playing working on his laptop last night and all of a sudden he said "what have you bought... what's a wedge basket?" oops (thought I had deleted all traces of my purchase)

oh well.

Had both littlies in our bed last night so will definitely have to wait a bit longer for a bfp.

Fred - I thought you were waiting till after the wedding before ttcing again? or have I got that wrong?

Egg - 2 days!

Dropdeadfred · 27/09/2007 08:34

Squonk - no you are right I'm not ttc, but apart from abstinence we're not actually using contraception...so this month could have been a possibility, but after this month I will be alot more careful!!!

Get those littlies back in their sensory depravation tanks beds at night!! I wanna read about another zappata bfp.
Thomcats story made me all emotional...

Dropdeadfred · 27/09/2007 08:35

Welcome back marmite!!! Glad your hols were good, did you know Egg goes in 2 days

That's right...2 days!!!

Egg · 27/09/2007 12:58

Marmite! Welcome back! I can't wait for my hols, did anyone mention it is only TWO DAYS til I go?!?!? Glad you had a lovely time, the pics are so cute. Looks like you had nice weather too. How did DD find the flight? Hope she was a good girl.

Squonk I think you need to have words with those littlies! Tell them there is boffing to be done! To be honest you probably still boff more than me and DH . Sorry the test shouted NO at you, but you never know, it could just be too early to tell!

Been busy this morning. Dropped DS at nursery, spent ages in Boots getting digital pics printed (bit of a backlog), did some holiday shopping, home to start packing. Now worrying about my poor baby DS who will be trying to sleep at nursery for the first time. Just hope he is ok. I took Blankie along but I bet he is still scared .

Got obstetrician this afternoon at 3:45. Any ideas what this involves? Never seen one before!
