I've lost it from my watched threads and can't find it by searching either, am I just being stupid?

OP posts:
fryalot · 24/09/2007 15:49

I knew you'd have the answer

fryalot · 25/09/2007 08:38

Good morning zappies

Not had a great deal of sleep - dd2 woke up at about midnight and came in with us, then ds woke up at about 2 so I got in his bed with him so have had a few hours sort of dozing whilst perched precariously on the very edge of very small toddler bed.

You know when you know you should go back to bed, but you haven't really got the energy?

Dropdeadfred · 25/09/2007 08:55

Oh Squonk - your littlies really do need to stay in their beds don't they..as yu are all respecting my bullying small children parenting skills I advise a heavy length of rope each and a rambler's knot...

fryalot · 25/09/2007 09:11

dd2 can undo knots.

And stairgates.

And doorknobs.

Probably handcuffs as well

Dropdeadfred · 25/09/2007 10:26

Hmmm..sensory depravation tanks?

Hello Zappatas sorry to be so quiet. I seemed to manage to post on other threads and not on here . Spent nearly 3 hours in bed at lunch though, I was shattered. DS was in bed from 12:30 to 4pm! He woke up about 3:30 and coughed a bit intermittantly until he called out at 4! Bliss...

Good advice on removing hands etc, but then what happens when you need to cross the road / car park and you can't make them hold your hand????

I cancelled his second MMR today as he was still under the weather and snotty. Will have to reschedule for after hols (did I mention I am on hols in FOUR days).

Anyway, signing off for tonight, going to veg in front of tv and then early night. Hope you are all ok .

fryalot · 25/09/2007 19:58

gosh, egg, is it only four days? I hadn't realised, you really must remind us more often

Egg · 25/09/2007 20:08

Still hanging around...

Are you being cheeky Squonky?

Really logging off now.

fryalot · 25/09/2007 20:30

cheeky?

moi?

Dropdeadfred · 25/09/2007 20:36

Hmm...just because Egg won't be using her Zapp much when she has Nemo and Dory she's forgetting about us...

Holiday yay!!! Wish I was going...

fryalot · 26/09/2007 11:10

she'll be back

Egg · 26/09/2007 11:29

I still love you!

Just been and looked at double buggies. Oh dear. None are right. Aghh.

How is everyone today? I will be a Zapp user for at least three months, hopefully nearer four! I will ALWAYS be a Zappata .

fryalot · 26/09/2007 11:58

You need a double buggy with a toddler seat for ds

not sure such a thing exists.... we could design one, call it a Zappata Trio and make a fortune

fryalot · 26/09/2007 12:34

I am ridiculously excited about this

Dropdeadfred · 26/09/2007 12:50

That sounds good...( wonders what Squonk will be carrying 2 litres of....)

egg - which double is your fave so far?

fryalot · 26/09/2007 12:53

you never know when you might need 2 litres of

stuff

Dropdeadfred · 26/09/2007 13:01

LOL Squonk... it does sound handy though.

Hows dd1 getting on? I must send dd2s letter that has been in my bag for 3 weeks... can you email me your addty again at [email protected]

fryalot · 26/09/2007 13:04

yep, sure thing.

She's been in trouble three times last week at school, but I am hopeful that we have nipped it in the bud

Egg · 26/09/2007 13:04

Wellllllll. There is a double buggy called the Adventure Buggy here that comes with a toddler seat. Fabulous except it wont fit through my front door...

In the same style, and the one I was planning to get, is the Out n About Nipper here, but this also does not fit through front door. As you can see, neither have carry cots / car seats that are removable, so therefore when I get home with Nemo and Dory, exhausted, and they have finally fallen asleep in buggy, I would have to remove them to get them inside, hence probably waking them.

However, there is the First Wheels City Twin here that, although still too wide, can be used with carrycots / maxi cosi car seats, so I can click them out and bring them in asleep (ahhhhh), and then fold up buggy or leave frame outside front door. The seats can either face you or face forward too.

Also the newest option, not even available yet (due in shops in November), is the icandy Pear here, which would go through front door, takes car seats / carry cots, and looks SUPERB, but the lady at the shop said they are really fiddly, plus if you look at the website where they show a pic of it with two carrycots, one is pretty much on top of the other and I think it looks a bit claustrophobic for whoever is underneath.

So...

Sorry, just getting them all down in writing there! What are your honest opinions? I only saw the Nipper and City Twin today, and the Nipper is a lot lighter, comes highly recommended by many ladies on MN, and looks nice, but no option for anything removable so would mean taking babies out to get them in house. Also seats do not go all that upright. DS did not look happy in it. City Twin DS liked a lot more, but it is heavier.

Squonk, can't wait to hear how your new wedge basket thing is! Sounds fab. I would be really if I wasn't putting the Zapp into semi retirement soon! I carry tons of milk back from shops and it is a bit precarious!

Egg · 26/09/2007 13:05

Of course, if you weren't TTC (!), you might be carrying around lots and lots of gin, for example...

fryalot · 26/09/2007 13:08

The iCandy one is my favourite.

The bottom child looks less claustrophobic that they would be in a Phil & Teds. Does look a tad fiddly, but you would get used to that. What would you do with ds though?

Don't like the adventure buggy but it would suit your purposes perfectly....

Egg · 26/09/2007 13:15

When Marslady posted a link to that icandy one a few weeks ago I was smitten. I thought it answered all my prayers. I suppose I ought to wait until it comes out and then look at it properly. It is the most expensive (would work out about £700 I think, with car seats too). It is an awful lot of money, but am prepared to spend if I can get something perfect.

The shop lady said the Nipper is most popular.

City Twin does feel slightly cheap somehow. It looks like a Bugaboo with the seat units, but doesn't really feel like one.

What's going on over at your Wedge Basket thread .

fryalot · 26/09/2007 13:41

I think the wedge basket thread just proves that you can't say anything on here without someone jumping down your neck!

Not going to say that on there though coz I'm too much of a coward!

£700 is a lot of money, but as you say, if it is perfect then probably worth it.

ShinyHappyPeopleHoldingHands · 26/09/2007 13:43

What is a Zappata? Sorry for crashing in.. but fresh off the back of my success in finding out what a "scuttlebugger" is, I need to know this also!

The thread seems to offer no clues
