marmitemad · 06/09/2007 22:12

I've lost it from my watched threads and can't find it by searching either, am I just being stupid?

OP posts:
Egg · 24/09/2007 10:27

Hehe. And I have to tell you at her house the entire attic is full, yes full (it is basically the entire top floor of the house) of her boys old toys from childhood, which she keeps because they don't want them thrown out. All her boys still leave their pants and socks outside their doors if they stay there for her to pick up and put in the wash (they are age 31-37) . And she thinks MY boy is spoilt!

Grrr.

Squonk. CD is cycle day. So basically if your last period was, for example, Sep 1, you are on cycle day 24. So if you look at the TTC list, those who are on cycle day 28 or more are waiting for a late period (if they have regular cycles of course). And those on cycle day 1 have just got theirs and are a bit .

fryalot · 24/09/2007 10:32

aaah.... In that case, as I had the depo injection straight after having ds, I should be CD853 or thereabouts (perhaps I won't mention that bit) Think I'll wait till I know these things for definite before joining a ttc thread.... anyway, we're not ttc-ing, we're just seeing what happens

Thanks for the info, egg.

They put their socks and undies outside their bedroom door for her to pick up? How long did it take you to get dh out of that habit?

fryalot · 24/09/2007 10:32

meant to say, egg - the bed is FANTASTIC and I'm sure that ds will love it

Egg · 24/09/2007 10:36

LOL. I am practically ROFLing over here! To be honest I think there are lots of ladies who are TTC after mc etc, and so don't now what CD day they are on either. Does Depo completely STOP periods??? Sorry, I am a bit slow, thought it just acted like the pill but without having to take the pill, IYSWIM.

Has not having depo anymore made any difference to your weight (NOT THAT YOU NEED TO LOSE WEIGHT BUT I KNOW YOU SAID IT HAD MADE YOU GAIN A BIT)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

fryalot · 24/09/2007 10:43

depo can stop periods, but not necessarily. Stopped mine completely.

And I'm still putting weight on, which makes me think that it's not out of my system yet so probably no bfp on the horizon yet.

I'm naturally quite large, but without watching my weight, I average out at about a size 14 (never bother with scales so couldn't tell you weights) at the moment I am squeezing into size 18 clothes. Am sure it is the depo because, like I say, I don't watch my weight so I always eat like I do now. Anyway, time will tell....

Dropdeadfred · 24/09/2007 10:55

I had depo before and it made me put on 2 stone in a year, I didn't have any periods and absoluteley hated it!! I don't like AF but I hated artificially not having any iykwim...

Squonk - with all that boffing you are definetely trying. I happen to think you suit your size, but I do know that when people say that to me I don't believe them so I guess that might not mean much ...

But all that boffing will have the lbs dropping off!!

Egg - yes I think I'm on CD27 of a 28-30 cycle, but I'm not worried as I have no symptoms..and lets face it..I'm used to knowing what early pgy feels like!!

Decided today that I would have a chocolate and cream theme for the wedding.
The girls will wear chocolate dresses with a wide ivory sash round the waist...that's if I canm convince dd1 she can't wear black...

fryalot · 24/09/2007 10:59

ooh, fred, chocolate and cream sounds wonderful.

Are you wearing cream? Is it going to be meringue-like (in a good way)

Thank you for nice comments about my size - generally it doesn't bother me, but like you were saying about the artificiality of not having AF, I don't like the artificiality of being this big... if I was this big because I ate seven cream cakes a day, I wouldn't mind at all

Egg · 24/09/2007 11:01

Ooh ooh I love chocolate coloured clothes. I got myself a chocolate coloured silk dress in Jojo Maman Bebe sale which I can wear in eves on hols. I tried it on and it is looooooovely. Bet yours girls will look fabulous. And will you be in cream then????

This depo thing does not sound like fun. Think DS is getting the snip once Nemo and Dory are born, if all is well. Not taking any risks! I honestly do both think you suit your weight, you both look fab, Squonk you looked especially fab on the day in Brighton with floaty top and skirt (not meaning more fab than Fred, meaning more fab than when I met you before your concert). Easy for me to say I know and apart from when I am pg I am always paranoid about my weight, although I have never been particularly big.

God just realised I am soooo tired. Will have to set the alarm on my phone to wake me before 12:30 to collect DS but think I will go for a lie down. Was planning to start packing DS's stuff for hols but his suitcase is in a cupboard with so many heavy things in front that i can't even get to it.

Back later lovely ladies.

Egg · 24/09/2007 11:02

LOL at the "if I was this big because I ate 7 cream cakes a day...".

DH had two cream donuts yesterday as a snack... He is naturally v skinny and goes to the gym to gain weight not lose it!

fryalot · 24/09/2007 11:02

aww, bless egg... she's so tired, she said DS is having the snip

so DH can stop worrying

fryalot · 24/09/2007 11:03

egg - am very impressed at your concern for the future mother of your grandchildren, but getting ds to have the snip is not the answer, love

Egg · 24/09/2007 11:04

.

Maybe DS will have the snip too!

fryalot · 24/09/2007 11:09

NNOOoooo

Dropdeadfred · 24/09/2007 11:12

LOL Squonk. I do know what you mean about the weight..I'm 2-3 stone heavier than I'd like and it can be depressing when your reflection in the mirror is not the one you envisage in you head...

Yes my dress will be cream/ivory I hope. I don't really suit stark white against my skin.

Oh haven't told DP yet about colours..haha...he'll just have to lump it.

Dropdeadfred · 24/09/2007 11:12

Egg...you really are tired dollface..getcha to bed.

Egg · 24/09/2007 11:15

Still here..... my dress was ivory. Bridesmaids were pink. However if I was getting married now I think I would like chocolate too. And of course you will need a chocolate and cream CAKE to match.

Dropdeadfred · 24/09/2007 11:20

Ahh Egg you have discovered my cunning plan..to ensure that chocolate cake is incorporatd into the wedding...teehee.

I'm getting quite excited now....I just have to stop scoffing choccy now!!

Egg · 24/09/2007 11:33

Have just done a search of whole computer. No pic of me on wedding day OR of my lovely cake . It was a three-tier choc one. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Off to have some choc milk and a lie down for an hour before getting DS. I really AM going now. Honest.

Egg · 24/09/2007 14:50

Where did you go? Don't tell me you have BETTER things to do?

Just realised there was one good thing about MIL's visit. She brought chocolate with her!

fryalot · 24/09/2007 14:52

was waiting for you to have a nap and get ds

but you didn't go to sleep, did you? I saw you posting on the "restaurants in Putney" thread

how is ds this afternoon?

Egg · 24/09/2007 15:00

I did go and lie on sofa for about 30 mins I think. But the Putney thing caught my eye, being my old stomping ground and all that, and then I found someone who used to live in my road.... I CAN'T STAY AWAY! I kept looking back here but you two were so quiet...

DS was ok, he fell off his chair at lunch, but the chairs at nursery are about an inch from the floor so he was ok. He was all smiles when I got there.

I do have a prob with him though. He kicked at another lad at the swings a couple of weeks ago, thinking it was funny, and has tried to hit me and DH on the head a few times lately, while laughing. Have told him calmly that hitting is NOT allowed. I asked at nursery today if he hits at all, and apparently he tried to hit one of the babies today . Any advice?

Egg · 24/09/2007 15:01

DS just woken up with a big coughing fit, but he's had at least two hours sleep thank god.

fryalot · 24/09/2007 15:02

No advice whatsoever I'm afraid. ds thinks it is hilarious to hit, kick and his latest... "i'ma gonna poke you in the eye" when we try to tell him off he just giggles. We have tried putting him in the corner, taking away his toys, turning cbeebies off.... nothing seems to work.

Perhaps Mamma Fred can help ?

fryalot · 24/09/2007 15:14

btw egg - I wasn't stalking you. I happened to click on the thread because I thought to myself "ooh, Putney, I've been there once, wonder if there's anywhere I will recognise" (ie: the half moon and that little polish cafe)

anyway, happened to see your name, but I wasn't checking up on you.

Dropdeadfred · 24/09/2007 15:48

I find amputating their hands is strict but effective...
