I've lost it from my watched threads and can't find it by searching either, am I just being stupid?

OP posts:
marmitemad · 12/12/2007 12:28

Murder mystery dinner was fab although I was the murderer so was a bit worried about trying to lie (I am rubbish at lying), lots of laughing, food and drink and we did our secret santa presents. Got home very late at 12am though .

I reversed the car into our gate post last night as somone had left their dustbin in the way and I was too lazy to move it. Have cracked rear lamps and dented bumper, dh not happy as the gates won't shut either.

Had to take dd to doctors this morning as cough was worse and she now has a wheezy chest. Verdict was viral bronchiolitis (sp?) but no treatment unless she completely stops eating and drinking and is having trouble breathing so took her onto cm group where they are having a Christmas party today with a magician and santa .

Looking forward to seeing the new windows tonight and am trying to decide if I have the energy to go out to an Ann Summers party?

OP posts:
Egg · 12/12/2007 13:56

Phew computer working again, couldn't get in properly this morning.

Marmite - bronchiolitis can be very nasty so do keep an eye on her and make sure she doesn't get worse, poor love.

Ann Summers Party . After your murder mystery one, and about 18 last week, surely you need a REST!

Squonk, DS was up at 5:50 this morning and no idea why. He chatted away happily for nearly an hour before I went in, but then sobbed and screamed and threw himself across the floor for the next three hours. Then he became lovely again and we had a nice morning out wandering round the shops and going for lunch.

Where is Fred? Hope she is ok, last we heard she was not well, and nor was DD3.

SquonkaClaus · 12/12/2007 14:43

egg - glad you're back with us

marmite - I second what egg said about staying in and having a rest (unless you really have to go to the ann summers party, because you need some stuff that you can only buy from there or from a very kind of shop.... )

hope fred and babyfred are ok... not seen her around on other threads either I don't think.

marmitemad · 12/12/2007 21:39

Have just finished washing up dinner stuff and hanging up bedroom curtains, so now have back ache and am really, really tired.

Couldn't have gone to ann summers party anyway as dh has had to go over to his parents to collect the cheque for the window people (they are lending us the money until my share sale money is credited) as we forgot to get it earlier.

looking forward to a proper rest tomorrow night (or spending all evening on MN ) as dh is going to london for works Christmas party.

sending get well wishes over to freds family as well.

Off to catch up on scrabulous now.

marmitemad · 12/12/2007 21:41

ps. windows are really nice despite house being freezing as today must have been the coldest day of 2007 so far. they are coming back tomorrow to finish off so need to escape somewhere with dd.

OP posts:
SquonkaClaus · 14/12/2007 07:51

morning everyone

how is everyone this morning? marmite - did you go somewhere nice yesterday to escape? It was even colder here yesterday than Wednesday so apart from taking dd2 to nursery, we stayed inside huddled round the fire.

Dp at his works christmas do tonight so I'll have to go out and pick him up later but I do have the car so I could go out... if I wanted to

egg - how's ds sleeping at the moment? Is he still waking up before the crack of dawn? and are you getting any more rest?

anyone heard from fred yet?

marmitemad · 14/12/2007 09:40

had to stay at home until 10:15am which wasn't great as they turned up at 8am but then managed to spend the rest of the day at friends house after going swimming.

nothing exciting happening here today apart from usual stuff.

OP posts:
Egg · 14/12/2007 13:03

Afternoon all (except Fred, where is she?, shall I text her?).

All ok here. DS has woken at 7:30 again the last couple of days, but he woke a bit in the night as has a NEW cough and cold .

Marmite glad you have new windows! At least it is only bloody cold and not raining / snowing as well while they were done.

Just realised DH has not mentioned a Christmas works do. Hope he does not spring one on me. Not that it makes much difference as he is not usually home before DS is in bed anyway.

Starting to panic about so many people coming here for Christmas. Thought it was the easiest option saving us from having to travel, but now wish we had not chosen to be hosts! I have never cooked a turkey before, or in fact even a chicken ...........

Dropdeadfred · 14/12/2007 14:45

Hi Girls..sorry this slipped off my threads I'm on and I lost you!!
I have been online frantically trying to finish my Chrimbo shopping as I've been unable to go out for days and not had chance to search for the Zappata thread...(shitty excuse I know but true)

Thankfully Suonk just grabbed me by the lapels and hauled me over here!
Today is the first day that I am able to speak out loud without coughing up a lung.. But thankfully dd3 seems a lot better. The AB's are finished as of last night so now it's fingers crossed that she doesn't get poorly again before Christmas!

Off now to catch up on what I've missed - hope you are all well and thanks for worrying [blush

Dropdeadfred · 14/12/2007 14:51

Oooh Egg, just read about your ladies popping out their twins early! How long have you officially got now?
Don't worry about clothes you will be inundated with gifts I bet. I also have loads of baby girls clothes if you need any.

PS Can all you three email me your addy's again please?

SquonkaClaus · 14/12/2007 14:53

FREEEEEDDDDDDDDDD!!!!!!!!

Dropdeadfred · 14/12/2007 14:54

SSSSSSSSSSSSSSQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQUUUOOONKKK!

SquonkaClaus · 14/12/2007 14:56

have emailed you

xx

Egg · 14/12/2007 17:38

Fred so glad you are ok. For some reason didn't think to check to see if you had been on any other threads at all. Glad you are finally feeling more human.

Have mailed you all, still need marmite's address please.

DS has watched about 4 hours of tv today . He seems very under the weather, although suddenly improved about 4pm and ate two whole sandwiches (well, two pieces of bread, one philly and one pb), and really perked up. He is now watching tv again though.... we went for a short walk in the dark (he likes to do this every evening, probably doesn't help the cough!), and he coughed so much I brought him home again after feeding the swans. Poor lad.

Egg · 17/12/2007 14:26

Hellooooooooooooooooo.

All ok?

Had crap weekend, DS coughing badly but getting better again.

Can't sleep any more.

SquonkaClaus · 17/12/2007 15:58

hello

ds not so well today - hardly been on puter at all!

Egg - poor you! sleep's overrated anyway glad ds sounds like he's getting better though.

how's everyone else?

marmite - I'll beat you next time by which I mean well done, of course!

Egg · 17/12/2007 16:06

Oh no, what is wrong with smallest Squonkette?

Just went to wake DS (about 15 mins ago) and he was not having any of it, shook me away and rolled over and went back to sleep. Letting him have a bit longer as he went for nap v late and is still recovering (and I am lazy).

Finally called local (ish) Twinsclub. Am meeting them all on Weds! Have to go to Southampton, which is about 30 mins.

Had midwife appt this morning, all ok except maybe a UTI. Will find out on Thurs.

WIshing now that i had gone for a lie down while DS was asleep.

SquonkaClaus · 17/12/2007 16:16

don't know. He had conjunctivitis over the weekend, but it seemed a lot better this morning (still put cream in his eye though) Dp thinks that he caught his cold, but he doesn't have any symptoms.

HIs symptoms are: tired, grumpy, whingy and clingy - so it could be anything

Glad you got around to organising twins club - it could (and probably will) prove absolutely INVALUABLE in the next few months.

Fingers crossed for Thursday.

Get an early night instead of an afternoon nap - probably do you more good in the long run. Tell dh you are both going to bed at 8 tonight

Egg · 17/12/2007 16:21

DS has those same symptoms... every bloody day! Not had conjunctivitis though, not since September.

He is still asleep. I really had better get him.

Next scan is on 31 Dec btw, which is when inlaws are here. I am so so dreading that MIL will want to come. I do not WANT her to come. I will beg DH to come (he has not been since 12 week scan) so that MIL can stay at home and look after DS!

ScottishMummy · 17/12/2007 16:25

hello ladies, short post as i am trying to catch up with all my work etc, are you all well i remain zappata and orangey glow forever - you know that gals

marmitemad · 17/12/2007 19:49

Hello girls,

nothing exciting to report here, have been visiting family in kent over the weekend. was fun but tiring.

dd did a poo in the swimming pool today but I didn't realise until when we were in the showers, hope there were no escapees .

looking forward to going to niece & nephews school carol concert tomorrow evening, hoping dd doesn't scream during it.

hope all the off colour dcs pick up in time for Christmas,

Egg - what is keeping you awake? have tried sleeping upright or can you get some special pillows? Twins club sounds exciting, hope you have a good day out.

OP posts:
Egg · 17/12/2007 21:05

Can't sleep sitting up either . It is a combination of

a) being uncomfortable with back or bellyache
b) having a cold that is always threatening, meaning both nostrils are blocked at night
c) thinking about Christmas, and about babies etc etc etc

LOL at DD pooing. DS has never pooed in the pool, even when he was little, which amazes me. He wouldn't now as he is too self conscious of pooing in public.

DS's nursery has a Christmas party on Thurs. Looking forward to it as we basically just go and eat and chat! The twinsclub thing is at a centre where they have a play place etc and all the kids can play safely. Wish I had joined sooner so I could quiz everyone on buggies etc.

Off to bed in a mo. It is LATE!

SquonkaClaus · 18/12/2007 08:45

morning everyone

big HELLO to scottish mummy who hasn't forgotten us in her orangeyness

marmite - was giggling to myself at the thought off dd pooing in the swimming pool

egg- hope you slept a little better last night.

ds seems fine today, will watch and see though.

TenLordsaLapin · 18/12/2007 08:55

Hello my lovely Zappatas how are you all?

Egg - did I read right - you are having TWINS?! Wow, congratulations - double! (and I didn't know you were a Winchester girl! are you from there? DH is your age and a Winchester boy!)

I need your expert advice please! Has anyone else had these problems with their Zapp?

a) brake coming on slightly as you walk along, causing DEEPLY annoying "click click click" sound
b) side buttons not depressing properly, causing it to take 15mins to put up/close down the buggy (and in my case, causing you to throw the buggy across a car park in a fit of temper
c) wheel lock things not re-engaging - so if you remove the wheels, then click them back in, they aren't locked on?

I have a major love-hate relationship with this thing!

SquonkaClaus · 18/12/2007 09:28

personally not had any of the problems you describe. But well done for only throwing it across the car park, I suspect I may have done worse!
