marmitemad · 30/11/2007 20:56

Thanks Marmite!! The wedding is not til July next year...

Can I ask why you're nervous about DH going to the party?

Hope dd has a lovely time!!

marmitemad · 30/11/2007 23:04

don't know why I feel nervous, maybe its just I know these people so well now but am worried they might change their opinions of me after meeting dh (not that I'm ashamed but mean that they know me and dd but not me, dh and dd).

anyway still looking forward to tomorrow as I am also going on my works christmas party in the evening, I didn;t go last year as it was away and I was pg so looking forward to much wine, dancing and hopefully not embarassing myself.

Dropdeadfred · 01/12/2007 09:40

Oooooh lucky you Marmite...dance the night away!!!

Egg · 03/12/2007 10:11

Morning all. Marmite hope your party was fab. I am feeling relieved that I no longer have to worry about work Christmas parties, but I did used to love them. I was always the most drunk .

Am feeling a bit crap today again. Was awake most of the night, need to go and lie down now. Went in to DS this morning and he had been sick in the bed. Only a little bit, and I think it was from coughing as he seemed ok and ate breakfast ok, but he cried so hard when I took him to nursery I am worried he is unwell again and he will not be able to go for the rest of the week. I have one dentist, one docs, and two hospital appts this week, as well as my dad coming to stay for a night, and friends coming at the weekend. I DO NOT need him to be at home sick again this week.

Of course I don't want him to be ill for his sake either...

Hope everyone else is well .

SquonkaClaus · 04/12/2007 08:03

morning everyone

Marmite - are you going to give us a report of the party, or leave us to guess what shocking things you got up to?

egg - ((hugs)) don't know what to suggest except rest as much as you can, send ds to nursery unless he is obviously highly contagious and has a temperature of over 100, enjoy your dad's company (why not your mum?) and get your friends to help out with stuff.

Egg · 04/12/2007 14:38

Hello girls. DS has managed both mornings at nursery without any problems, I think he is fine. He is just very clingy still.

Tomorrow I will see Nemo and Dory!

Just dad coming as, if overnight, someone needs to stay home to look after their cat, unless they go for longer in which case cat goes to cattery. He is popping down to look at a potential house and to say hello. My mum came last weekend for a couple of nights. Plus they are probably glad to be shot of each other .

So... marmite... tell us all. Did you get very very very drunk and accidentally proposition your boss?

Everyone else ok today?

Dropdeadfred · 04/12/2007 14:42

dd3 didn't go to her christmas play rehearsal today cos she is too poorly AGAIN

Bloody tonsils like pingpong balls...

marmitemad · 04/12/2007 14:43

party no. 1 was a bit stressful, 11 babies in the lounge and while it was nice to see everyone together, there were no games or anything so it got a little boring after a while.

party no. 2 (my one) was fabulous, I had a few glasses of wine (but didn't embarass myself) and danced loads. I found out that my crap boss was asked to "resign" on Friday which was a bit surprising and sad but didn't stop me enjoying myself . dh caame to collect with dd as he was worried about me getting a taxi home on my own (bless).

Legs felt very stiff and sore on sunday but no hangover although sadly it looks like my sister has split up with her partner .

Egg - sorry you and ds are still not well, sending lots of chocolate and hugs down the M3 to winchester.

ooh crossed posts with Egg and Fred,

Egg - very exciting day tomorrow, looking forward to hearing your news. how many weeks are you now?

Fred - sorry to hear about poorly dd again.

OP posts:
SquonkaClaus · 04/12/2007 14:47

marmite - glad you enjoyed party number 2 - and don't be sad, you said he was a crap boss, so hurray that he's resigning

fred, egg - poor littlies

Egg · 04/12/2007 14:47

Shite Fred, you poor things. It just goes on and on. I think it might be time to get those tonsils whipped out.

Marmite, glad your party was fab, and the other was ok. Sad about your sis though . Has your SIL had her scan yet?

Dropdeadfred · 04/12/2007 14:54

Marmite, I'm pleased you had a good dance!! Sorry to hear about your sis...not good at any time of year...

Thjanks for thinking of dd3...poor thing has been throwing up at night through coughing...

Egg · 04/12/2007 15:07

Ugh that's what DS used to do regularly when he was little (this time last year) but thankfully only once so far this year. It's horrid, and we never have enough clean bedding.....

marmitemad · 04/12/2007 15:10

sorry I didn't realise I hadn't told you the news, SIL No.2 is having a boy which is good as hopefully there will be less comparison between the two babies.

I meant to say as well that maybe its time for dd3's tonsils to come out? I had mine removed at age 5 as I had constant tonsillitis between ages 3-5 although it was a much more common op then.

marmitemad · 05/12/2007 13:26

how is everyone feeling today?

Complete nights sleep in our house (sorry) so while I feel better I am still tired. Going out again tonight in Windsor with some customers from work, getting a taxi and they are paying so looking forward to it although will be another late night.

Hi
Dd3 missed her nursery play today
I took her to docs and she is on a 10 day course of antibiotics!

I also have a terrible cough and cold, but am soldiering on...I'm going to take the elder two dd's to see Golden Compass tonight!

SquonkaClaus · 05/12/2007 13:40

I quite fancy the golden compass - and the fairy tale one, I fancy that one too. Can we have a complete review in the morning?

(so no falling asleep in the cinema and trying to catch up )

poor dd3 - hope the ABs will make her feel much better.

marmite - have fun (you've turned into quite a party animal, haven't you )

Any news from egg today?

marmitemad · 05/12/2007 17:33

ooh how exciting, I really want to see The Golden Compass but am struggling to find time to fit it in!, sorry to hear about a/b's. did the doc mention the possibility of tonsillectomy?

Forgot to say, I love the Christmas name Squonk and are you bidding on a top hat on ebay are you? (someone named squonk is)

OP posts:
marmitemad · 05/12/2007 17:56
