I've lost it from my watched threads and can't find it by searching either, am I just being stupid?

Sorry Egg..it wa sonly Sunday lunch at the harvester..but there were 5 of us not including dd3 so the bill soon added up...

marmitemad · 20/11/2007 13:36

oh dear, I seem to have made you both dwell on how horrific the MILs are even more instead of helping, sorry girlies. My MIL is a saint in comparison even though she has her own annoying quirks.

Thanks for the advice re the green/bloody gunk, I've never had anything like it before but am glad I'm not the only one to have experienced it. Will try and get to the drs on Thursday.

Currently consuming a large piece of rather moreish chocolate chip shortbread, mmmmmmmmmmm

gosh, girls! you've made me rather glad I don't have a MIL

How old are all these witchy women? Are they in their nineties and a completely different generation? brought up in Edwardian times and don't understand the modern, independent woman? Or are they just cows?

marmite - your greeny gunk sounds 'orrible! Did you go to the docs? and what did they say?

Dropdeadfred · 20/11/2007 19:48

Hi Squonk - no belive it or not Dp's mum only turned 60 in Sept and she's a jeans a nd t-shirt gal who is still fit, active and reasonably fashionable etc

She is just self-centred.

fryalot · 20/11/2007 19:52

well, in that case there is absolutely NO excuse.

Silly moo

fryalot · 21/11/2007 11:49

I'VE FIXED MY COMPUTER

that's it.

Kids going loco in the other room - back later

Dropdeadfred · 21/11/2007 13:24

yay!!! Techno-queen Squonk!

fryalot · 22/11/2007 08:02

twas dead easy.

I bought a telephone extension cable.

Dropdeadfred · 22/11/2007 09:45

Genius!

fryalot · 22/11/2007 09:47

when I told dp I was going to buy myself a laptop, he told me what to do to fix the computer.

Before I considered spending hundreds in order to talk to you lot, he was remarkably unbothered that the blardy thing wouldn't connect to the internet.

He still needs to fix the wireless thingy though

marmitemad · 22/11/2007 10:22

hooray, nothing exciting to report here except I'm not at work and its not raining .

fryalot · 22/11/2007 10:23

Egg · 22/11/2007 10:25

Hello Zappatas. Just saying hello quickly before heading back to bed . Feeling much more human than the last couple of days but still want sleeeeeeeeeep.

Glad everyone is well and Squonk is BACK ON LINE!

Dropdeadfred · 22/11/2007 10:30

Oh Egg..still poorly?
Marmite, like Squonk said thats two bonuses...
Squonk, funny how DP's can be like that isn't it?

fryalot · 22/11/2007 11:26

poor egg

hope you feel 100% better soon

Egg · 22/11/2007 11:51

Am back. Never made it to bed but sat on sofa for a while. Am ok really, just tired as can't sleep properly at night. Thanks for lovely sympathy though .

Realised I have about 40 Christmas cards to write. I managed to do 5 earlier. Still, if I can do five a day I will be done by December, so not too bad...

How is the face painting going? Any amusing results? I found some red crayon on the wall this morning , DS is very naughty when it comes to his crayons and pencils.

Egg · 22/11/2007 11:51

Marmite, what days do you work? Are you getting used to it? How is DD finding it?

Dropdeadfred · 22/11/2007 12:40

DD3 loved her nursery school on Monday...she looked so cute with her Nursery sweatshirt and matching bag

Egg · 22/11/2007 13:12

Ahh I forgot she was just starting. So glad she enjoyed it. DS doesn't have a nursery sweatshirt... I like it when they have some form of uniform. The school next door, where he will hopefully go, has a nice uniform though.

Just picked DS up. He seems a bit quiet. They said he was very happy today and ate all his lunch so hopefully he is just tired and NOT getting ill.

Have missed Neighbours all week I think, so hoping to catch up today. Should't take long!

fryalot · 22/11/2007 13:18

aww, fred, I bet she looked so cute

dd2 doesn't have a nursery uniform, and they wear pumps or slippers inside, so she goes in her wellies

Egg · 22/11/2007 13:27

DS goes in wellies at the mo as it is always wet, and they don't wear shoes inside. Today he took 22 mins to walk there (I do it in 4 mins when he is in Zapp), as he was going to every puddle he could find to jump in it. He had to have his trousers changed as soon as we arrived as they were wet up to his knees.

Dropdeadfred · 22/11/2007 13:29

I will try and take a pic on Monday and add to profile..
Is it evr hard to catch up on Neighbours? I didn't wath it for a decade and was addicted within a week of maternity leave..
I don't watch it now though cos dd3 hates telly unless it's Thomas the Tank Engine or cbeebies

fryalot · 22/11/2007 16:06

"They're two they're four they're six they're eight
Shunting trucks and hauling freight
Red and green and brown and blue
They're the really useful crew..."

Sometimes I dream about that song and I wake up wondering if Emily really knows her stuff, who is that that toots and huffs and puffs. I can spend long periods of the night worrying about this

anyway, yes, please take a photo for us to see

Dropdeadfred · 22/11/2007 16:28

Squonk I have been caught singing that round Waitrose..

marmitemad · 22/11/2007 17:23

Hello girls,

busy day here - swimming and then shopping. Had to pop into work as well as I left 1/2 yesterdays sandwich in my drawer and am away on a course next week, dd performed beautifully as usual with lots of laughing and chatting.

Fred - glad nursery went well, is dd doing 1 day a week?

I am working 3 days (Mon, Tues and Wed) and it all seems to be working out perfectly so far. dd is very happy with the cm and I don't feel worried about her at all although by Wed morning I am missing being with her. My mum is coping well but we are still settling down with MIL. Its all change from December though as my Mums dog is due to have puppies on Monday so I have booked off the 3 Mondays to make it easier for MIL.

Won't be on here until tomorrow evening as we are going to the British Museum tomorrow to see the Terracotta Army exhibition. Hope dd behaves!
