I've lost it from my watched threads and can't find it by searching either, am I just being stupid?

Yay Squonk - you're here. I've missed you!

Egg - dd3 actually only threw up once ( the 4th time she has ever been in the slightest sick in her life!!) But she did have trouble pooing. She did exactly what your ds has done but also added 'my bum really hurts..owwww' and often said her tummy felt poorly..In the end we actually started stuffing her with fruit..she loves satsumas and we also let her have pure fruit juice ice lollies..(she only normally drinks water so these were a novelty which helped keep her liquid intake up..)
It seemed to do the trick...

fryalot · 12/11/2007 19:21

but not bananas... they're good for the runs, so you don't want them.

Egg · 12/11/2007 20:02

Hmmm well the only fruit he ever eats is apples and bananas and he has been refusing both since he has been ill. He ate a piece of wholemeal bread earlier, and had half a small carton of apple juice. I am not surprised it hurt when he pooed, it was another square one, and I (sorry TMI) tried to squash it in the nappy to see the consistency and it was like a rock. He went to bed in good spirits and is in the car bed.

It sounds like DS has the exact same thing that your DD had Fred. I am happy to sit and watch tv all day and give cuddles, it makes me feel like a real mum for some reason!

Marmite, I have an almost identical buggy snuggle to that, it is red with white stars. I can't possibly use it in the orange Zapp, but am trying to work out if I will use it in the Powertwin, if it clashes with the red (buggy snuggle is deep red, powertwin is garish cherry) then you can have mine for a knock down price. I only used it for about 3 months. I will not be offended if you would rather have new though. I paid about £40 for it so not as much as the one you linked to. Am sure you can get them cheaper if you look around.

Squonk I read the book too, I have a feeling it came free with a magazine once, and really enjoyed it, so have wanted to see the film a lot and nearly even made the effort to get to the cinema. Will hopefully watch on Weds night so will give my verdict then! Maybe I can convince DS to watch it tomorrow! Looks like swimming is off again .

DH due home any minute so I will be bidding farewell again. SM, your food sounds fabulous, I have salmon, noodles and peas with a shop bought mushroom sauce. It is yummy, but not exactly a la carte . No gin either .

ScottishMummy · 12/11/2007 21:17

i read devil wears few years ago - good frothy read not too deep but ok for on bus

scottishprince hehehe gorgeous

my wee one is a bitty fussy eater too but loves his porridge, and had days of fruit only - me tearing hair out

Egg · 13/11/2007 11:20

Morning all. DS slept in his car bed last night and was awake 5-6pm crying and wanting cuddles but then slept til past 8. He has just gone back to bed. He seemed ok first thing, but is clearly still feeling crap. He ate some weetabix and a ginger biscuit though.

SM, can we have some pics of the prince on your profile pleeeeeeease????

ScottishMummy · 13/11/2007 12:50

bugger just typed a long message and then promptly lost it .

in brief....

Egg - thanks for the offer to purchase your buggy snuggle, I originally wanted that one but then fell in love with the sheep. Let me know if you do decide to sell and I will let you know if I give and spend £51 on a new one (the 2nd hand ones on Ebay don't have a zip).

have ordered this for dd today and finally managed to order dh a nintendo wii from amazon germany , am nearly halfway there now.

and SIL No. 1 found out at 22 week scna today that she's having a girl to everyone's surprise (no girls for several generations on dps side) so am feeling very excited, her poor ds burst into tears though as he wanted someone to play football with so we are now waiting to see what SIL no. 2 is having in 2 weeks time (scan not baby!).

marmitemad · 14/11/2007 19:37

Fred - shoes are gorgeous, am very as I only had flat silver sandles as we got married on a beach and I wouldn't have been able to stand up very long in heels anyway.

have you chosen a dress yet?

bugger, just tried to upload a picture from my wedding that I scanned at work and it didn't work.

OP posts:
Dropdeadfred · 14/11/2007 19:49

I have a ouple of dresses in mind ( well about 5 atually) but nothing hosen yet..so hard when my weight is not what I want to see in the mirror..

Might help if I stopped eating chocolate...

fryalot · 15/11/2007 18:40

nah! chocolate is so good for you.

Trust me, I'm an expert

oh yeah - perhaps chocolate isn't that good for you after all!

Egg · 16/11/2007 13:28

Hi girls. Sorry been a bit quiet, DS been very demanding while recovering from illness, I can't do anything without him hanging round my neck... He has been sleeping well at night thank god but being a pain during the day.

And the inlaws are arriving in an hour or so .

Fred, the shoe link shows me LOTS of shoes, which ones are yours are am I being silly? Mine got a bit muddy on my wedding day, and then I wore them for a fancy dress party and they got covered in red wine so they have been binned. Still have lovely dress in lovely box to try on again one day! It still fit me one year later, just about fit two years later, zip was very tight three years later, and then four years later I was pg with DS and haven't tried since. Nothing fits me at the moment .

Anyway, just wanted to say hello, will prob not be around much until Monday when, fingers crossed, DS goes back to nursery (god I have MISSED IT).

Dropdeadfred · 16/11/2007 13:50

Egg..mine are called Decarlo...about halfway down page...

Hope ds feels better soon, I can't belive you couldn't put the inlaws off!!!

fryalot · 17/11/2007 17:19

hello

I have a new phone

tis fab. I can do this: on it!

Dp got man-flu so he's refusing to get out of bed just in case the children are loud

egg - inlaws! ugh! Poorly ds - aaw! Pg with twins - huh! apart from all that, how are you?

everyone else ok?

Dropdeadfred · 17/11/2007 18:16

Hi Squonk, what phone is it?

Egg · 17/11/2007 19:54

They have gone for a quick drink but will be back in 20 mins. Since they went I have:

Changed a poo nappy
Read 15 bedtime stories
Attempted and failed to clean DS's teeth
GOt him to bed finally at 7:30 (late for him)
Peeled and chopped about 500 carrots
Chopped some broccoli
Put some (thankfully ready made from Farmer's Market) lasagnes in the oven
Tidied up the gazillion dirty cups and plates that have been left lying around
Spilt DS's water all over kitchen floor and myself
Been on hands and knees wiping up floor

I guarantee they will come back and say "did you have a nice rest while we were out".

FUCK FUCK FUCK. It was ok yesterday, today she is driving me ROUND THE BEND.

Squonk, good news on new phone!

Will prob not be back til Monday, praying DS is well and goes off to nursery...

Happy Saturday .

fryalot · 17/11/2007 19:55

ooh errr... what, I'm supposed to know things like that? it's quite black and it has a slidey front thing and nice silvery buttons...

oh hang on I'll go and get it...

dd1 informs me it's a Samsung U600

fryalot · 17/11/2007 19:56

ooh, egg, you still here?

fryalot · 17/11/2007 19:57

Mil's are designed to be complete pitas... just take everything on board, remember it all and when your ds's are married and invite you to stay, you can put it all into practice!

Egg · 17/11/2007 19:59

But I want to be a nice MIL that my daughters and son in law like... My own mum is so much less annoying. Seriously, even my parents find this woman irritating. Irritating is the perfect word for her. She is not nasty, just plain bloody ANNOYING.

Think my sis might have the same phone. Shiny and small and black...

I can only use Nokia, they are idiot proof I was told .

Wish DH and inlaws had taken me up on my suggestion of staying out longer and eating in the pub.

fryalot · 17/11/2007 20:08

isn't it annoying when people don't want to leave you out!

it's a pity you can't just tell them to GO AWAY!

My mum of course is fantastic, dp's mum is dead, but he assures me that she would have absolutely hated me (just because I live with her baby!)
