marmitemad · 06/09/2007 22:12

I've lost it from my watched threads and can't find it by searching either, am I just being stupid?

OP posts:
Egg · 10/11/2007 21:16

Is it me or is the X Factor really crap this year? Admittedly I haven't watched any of it and so don't know anyone, but finding everyone except the blond man a bit crap...

fryalot · 10/11/2007 21:18

"admittedly I haven't watched it"

rofl!

we're waaaaaaay too middle class to watch X factor - it's strictly bruce forsyth all the way in our house!

Egg · 10/11/2007 21:22

I mean admittedly i haven't watched it until tonight. Am half watching now and they are all SHITE.

I did watch family fortunes too, now that is a great show!

Am too far away from tv and from remote to have changed channels to Bruce. My mum likes SCD and she is frightfully middle class! Does Kelly Brook look fabby in her outfits?

Dropdeadfred · 10/11/2007 21:26

How old will ds1 be when the double yolkers hatch?
My dd1 was 23 months when dd2 arrived. I never had a double pushchair and she used to have to walk miles bless her...did her no harm though.

At weekends you will have DP so he can push ds1 in the ZAPP but perhaps whilst the twins are tiny you may have to stay nearer to home? But still have short walks..?

fryalot · 10/11/2007 21:26

ooh I hate kelly brook. Really, she does my head in.

Unfortunately, she does look fab in her costumes and she has a bit of a talent for dancing so nobody's voting her off.

If I had the money, I would vote several hundred times for everyone else

I do like Family Fortunes though, Vernon's fabby, isn't he!

Egg · 10/11/2007 21:28

Fred DS will also be about 23 months. He can walk for ages without getting tired, just he is so wayward and I can imagine going to the swings and never managing to get him home because I wont be able to carry him whilst pushing the "train", and he will just refuse to leave. He needs restraining sometimes!

I like Kelly Brook. She has good baps (no I am not drunk, nor am I lesbian, but let's face it, she does).

Egg · 10/11/2007 21:31

Right I must go as DH and BIL not back yet and I don't want to be here when they roll in drunk.

Thanks for helpful advise and amusing banter .

fryalot · 10/11/2007 21:35

not so sure about the helpful bit, or the amusing bit.

But you're welcome anyway.

Dropdeadfred · 10/11/2007 21:35

keep away from that kitchen before bed Egg!!!

marmitemad · 10/11/2007 21:45

sorry I missed the chat, we are watching "the devil wears prada" while eating the Indian .

OP posts:
Dropdeadfred · 10/11/2007 22:33

I haven't seen that Marmite...any good?

marmitemad · 10/11/2007 22:49

a strange film, not sure what the message was overall.

OP posts:
Egg · 12/11/2007 10:36

Oops I meant to watch that film marmite but got carried away on here and never turned over from X Factor. I did record it on Sky+ so will watch it later in the week.

How is everyone today? DS has been up and down all weekend, and is still not 100% today. He is not really eating. He had the world's BIGGEST poo yesterday evening and perked up a lot once he got it out as had been trying for days and never managing much. We thought he would want to eat after making some room but still not interested. He is having milk though.

Got a lovely new coat just now in M&S, it is dark green and I got it two sizes too big so hope it will fit all winter. Will then try to sell it as it will (hopefully) be too big once Nemo and Dory pop out.

Did I remember to tell you my glucose tolerance test was cancelled? Are you all fasting?

Dropdeadfred · 12/11/2007 11:51

Awww Egg I wished you'd told me I'm hiding missing my cake today!!

Guess they can't be that worried if they've cancelled it? Or has it been rearraned.

Funnily enough dd3 went days without pooing and when she did it was a nappy and a half full!!

GUESS WHAT - NEWSFLASH

Dp has agreed that dd3 can go to Nursery one seeion (3 hrs) a week!!

Egg · 12/11/2007 12:04

YAY! Fab news Fred. The feeling of freedom the first time DS went was WONDERFUL.

The test was cancelled as have had wee tested two or three times since the sugar was in there and none has been detected so consultant said no need to bother. Thank god as with DS not being 100% I would not have wanted to be stuck at hospital all morning as reception on my mob is a bit iffy there, plus our BLOODY BOILER seems to have packed up this morning, so I need to get that sorted. Poor DS, his only warm sleeping bag was washed this morning and is still soaking and cold waiting for a radiator to dry it. He will come home to a cold house, and a 0.5 tog sleeping bag for his lunchtime nap.

Off to get him now, as have to be back as hopefully plumber is coming by 12:30.

Dropdeadfred · 12/11/2007 13:08

I hope the plumber is there doing his suff Egg. Our boiler packed in the other day and a nice plumber came round...
Cue carry on scenes of spurting water and him leaning over me telling me to hold it still, don't shake it or I'd get splashed..not too hard , but not that gentle either....hoho..it was a screwdriver he was referring to as he left me dealing with a leaky boiler whilst he dashed around looking for the stopcock...

marmitemad · 12/11/2007 13:20

Great news Fred, when does dd3 start?

OP posts:
Dropdeadfred · 12/11/2007 13:36

Not sure Marmite...i have to ring the nursery school owner and check which sessions have vacancies.

The nursery is sooo sweet. I took her last week and they were marching with instruments, then they had a proper dance teacher come in for an hour, then singing round the piano...it was lovely.

Egg · 12/11/2007 13:52

Ahhhh, it makes such a difference if you are 100% happy with the nursery.

Plumber has been and gone, we are all warm and snug. LOL at your plumber and his innuendos. My poor plumber arrived while DS was mid poo .

DS is in his car bed for first time. All going ok but they are resurfacing the pavement outside the house today and I fear that as they get nearer to us the huuuuuuuuuuge noise from the machinery will wake him up. He only went to bed at 1:15 as plumber was sorting out radiator in Nemo and Dory's room as well, and had been planning to put DS in there as his cot is in there now, but DS insisted on "car".

Egg · 12/11/2007 17:21

Ds off colour again this pm. Then puked everywhere. Not enjoying this. I know you have all been through it lately too . Means no nursery for rest of week for him either. What will I do with him? Wish it was later in the week as outlaws due to be coming on Friday and it would a great reason for them not to come.

Dropdeadfred · 12/11/2007 18:16

Egg, I hate to say it but if he has the same bug that dd3 came down with it may well continue til the end of the week.

I read lots of books, actually relented and played some cbeebies games etc on the laptop and DEFINITELY let her watch too much TV...but she was so lethargic anyway she didn't want to do much else.

Sorry to hear that your poor ds is geeling bad, it's so horrible!!

Egg · 12/11/2007 18:22

Yep, that sounds like DS. Doesn't want to go out, he was ok this morning, and apparently happy at nursery, but not happy this pm. How often did DD3 puke? He has only puked twice in four days (so far...).

Oh poor lad. It is strange, he is really having trouble with pooing, despite being sick, he is having rock hard poos. He had the huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge one yesterday, but he is sobbing and clinging onto the wall at the mo trying to poo, I tried to comfort him and he has waved me away. It is heartbreaking. He is clearly hurting. Wish I knew what to do.

marmitemad · 12/11/2007 18:31

oh dear poor ds, I'm afraid we watched a lot of tv as well while having cuddles.

no advice on the poo front although my hv said to give lots of water and try some watered down prune juice (which we never had to resort too).

dd was ill for a whole week and is still snotty. I now have a very sore throat and haven't been able to stop sneezing since getting home from work, really hoping its not another cold.

car bed sounds fun , I really want one of these but not sure I can justify the price tag?

ScottishMummy · 12/11/2007 18:32

in the gang again zappata forever that's me bout to rustle up some courgette, chilli, mushrooms and linguine. put the wee one in bed and have a gin

fryalot · 12/11/2007 18:55

evenin' all.

sorry about ds, egg... it's awful when they're ill. I'm with fred, just find a decent book and snuggle with him on the settee and let him watch cbeebies all day (or as long as you can stand it )

Good to see SM back with us - how is the scottish prince doing nowadays?

fred: fab news about nursery! well done - don't even want to know what you had to promise dp to get that!

marmite - I read the book of The Devil Wears Prada, quite enjoyed it actually.

I'll be here for a little while tonight (hopefully) as dp has a meeting, so won't be using his puter tonight till much later.
