I've lost it from my watched threads and can't find it by searching either, am I just being stupid?

OP posts:
Dropdeadfred · 29/10/2007 13:16

oooh sounds tasty...

No, the baby is having a brain scan in 2 weeks. She can't see anything at the moment and her legs only move 80% of how they should(?) and her head stays turned in one direction all the time

Egg · 29/10/2007 13:20

Oh how awful for the poor baby and parents. It's so scary, esp when your baby is born apparently healthy.

I am going to turn off the computer and watch neighbours and doctors now, I can't stop posting otherwise and will sit here all day.

DS not 100% at nursery this morning apparently, hope he was just tired . He is sleeping now.

ooops

Egg · 29/10/2007 13:22

Oh and for the strog I have used creme fresh (however you spell it) if I am feeling healthier, it is still yummy. Also sometimes half and half.

marmitemad · 29/10/2007 18:46

Hellooooooooooooo from marmite land. missed you all loads. I might have to log on at lunchtime from work tomorrow.

LVOC - Nice to have you here, I am of the zapp as its just not practical for me but the girls let me stay here and ramble unofficially.

I feel really shite, nose is constantly running and sneezing, was very embarassing to go back to work like that, and I'm sharing the office with the 2 others so not nice for them.

work was ok - didn't do much apart from 1200 emails and chatting, my SIL sent me a huge bouquet of flowers and my friend gave me a welcome card, chocs and a lovely photo frame to put a pic of dd in. dd was fine with my mum today although she didn't sleep and eat much.

I think tomorrow will be harder as I have to take her to the childminder although I may find myself coming back home to bed.

Beef strog sound slovely, do you think I can make it for me and dd?

Fred - Sorry to hear about your friends baby.

did you all look at the picture of dd in her pumpkin outfit?

OP posts:
DoctorFrankenSquonk · 30/10/2007 09:04

oh, that is just the cutest pumpkin I have ever seen

mine are busy making spiders, bats and witches for tomorrow night (even though they will hopefully be asleep by 7)

Marmite - I guess you're not feeling any better as you said you may go home to bed, poor you

better go, not sure what they're doing with the scissors

btw - yes, you can make the strog for you and dd

Dropdeadfred · 30/10/2007 10:59

Marmite, your liitle babe looked sooo sweet as a pumpkin!!!

DD3 was much better yesterday and i love her to bits this morning for going back to sleep at 7am til 10am!!!

Her tonsils have shrunk a little but are still really large.

DoctorFrankenSquonk · 30/10/2007 11:01

ten o'clock! wow! well done dd3

glad to hear that she seems to be getting a bit better, fred.

ds was so tired yesterday, he fell asleep at 5.30 last night and woke up today at 7.30.

Wish I could say the same for dd2

Egg · 30/10/2007 12:22

Hmmm, well DS went to bed at more or less normal time (7:20 so a weeny bit late), and woke again at 5:45. I left him for nearly an hour as he was mainly singing and chatting to Blankie, but then he was so grumpy and exhausted this morning. We went to his music thing and he was ok, but as soon as we got back he was a bit sluggish and then had a strop when I changed his nappy and while I was getting rid of the stinky evidence he went off upstairs by himself and I found him clinging to the outside of his cot wailing "babbie" "babbie" (what he calls Blankie) so he went to bed at 11:30. We have swimming this pm so hope he is ok for that.

Marmite your first day back sounds pretty good apart from you feeling rotten with a cold. Lovely to get flowers and chocs though. I looked at your profile but NO PUMPKIN!!!!!!!!

Fred, glad DD is still improving and sleeping lots too. What a blessing. How are you feeling? How's the coldsore etc?

Squonk, DS slept for 14 hours???????????? Imagine if he was your only one, you would have been in heaven this morning! Talking of which, how is the boffing? We have a new lady on the multiples thread expecting triplets, maybe that could be you next?!?!?!

Dropdeadfred · 30/10/2007 13:02

My coldsore is gross - it's the size of a town. In fact bring on the concrete cows and I have Milton Keynes on my lip....

DoctorFrankenSquonk · 30/10/2007 13:07

well, Milton Keynes is a very attractive town

I should point out that ds slept so long because for the last three or four days he has been napping during the day - grr.... I know you're thinking "and?" but if he naps during the day he then doesn't sleep at night, so it's been midnight before we've got him back to sleep, so the next day he's tired and needs a nap, then he's not tired and stays awake till midnight, so the next day he's tired and needs a nap.... you get the picture. Anyway, I managed to keep him awake long enough that when he went, he really went. Hope I've broken the cycle now and he'll go to sleep at a normal time tonight.

as for boffing - we boff when we get an opportunity. So not that often but we're doing our best. Have decided that I am so unsure about whether I want another or not that if we don't get any boffing done, then it's fate, or kismet or whatever. If it happens it happens.

Triplets?

nah!

How are the double yolkers doing?

marmitemad · 30/10/2007 13:27

a quick sneaky hello from work while I eat my lunch.

Still feeling poorly but have been for a little swim to spread my germs around a bit more . don't really want to go home as dh is working from home while there waiting for the gas safety check.

Egg - Have been meaning for ages to ask after nemo & dory, how many weeks are you now?

OP posts:
Egg · 30/10/2007 13:42

Ah we have a gas safety check tomorrow. What fun...

Fred, sorry about your MK coldsore, but thanks for giving me a laugh with the description!

Squonk, I think you are right, as you say, if it happens with the occasional boff, then it was clearly meant to be... Good on your for breaking that cycle, must be hard to do. I thought we had done so well making sure DS stayed up til normal nap time (with time change) on Sunday and going to bed at normal time despite clock change but he is not coping well. He seems to be getting another cold though so maybe just a bit mixed up. We are going swimming this pm so he can spread germs too .

Nemo and Dory are well, they move about 23 hours a day it seems. I have another scan next Thursday (8 Nov) and can't wait.

Oooooooh it is time for neighbours and CARMELLA IS PREGNANT. Squonk would you know, does that mean it is Oliver's baby?

DoctorFrankenSquonk · 30/10/2007 14:47

hee hee, yes, now that school is back, I do know all the neighbours storylines

yep, tis Oliver's babba, but Carmella hasn't mentioned it to him yet. She's a bit concerned because of all the drink and drugs that she did without knowing that she was up the duff.

I love the way the doc said to her yesterday "you mean you don't know " and today proceeded to tell her that she's only 7 weeks gone (I was, like "is that all)

I wish I could go swimming each child under 5 (or it may be 10 - tis irrelevant for another couple of years anyway) must be accompanied by an adult and as there's just lickle old me during the day, that's swimming out. Egg - have you thought about that? you will need to get someone to look after nemo & dory while you take ds swimming. Round here they don't even allow you to put your baby in its car seat at the side of the pool, so you couldn't take them at all.

Anyway, feeling rather lucky that I can't go swimming and that I live so far oop north that all your germs probably won't get me

DoctorFrankenSquonk · 30/10/2007 14:48

egg - did you have the test thingy last week? that we were all going to fast for? I'm so sorry, I wasn't thinking (dp off and all that) and if so, how did it go?

Dropdeadfred · 30/10/2007 15:15

I used tolove going swimming but I woiuldn't go now cos Greenpeace turning up and trying to get me back in the water everytime I try and get out is embarrassing...

Egg - what test? I missed that, is everything okay?

DoctorFrankenSquonk · 30/10/2007 15:31

fred! stop that immediately!

You are lovely and not at all whale-like.

If you want to talk whales, my belly at the moment is about the size of Wales

Dropdeadfred · 30/10/2007 15:58

oh Squonk that means I am getting married in your belly!!! (least it won't rain...)

Hows the weight loss going? As good as mine eh?

No ~I don't usually agree with people who put themselves down but i really do look like shite at the mo...
And my lip is now the Isle of Wight!!!!

DoctorFrankenSquonk · 30/10/2007 16:01

isn't that smaller than Milton Keynes? going the right way then

weight loss... hummm.... not sure my body understands the concept of that. My body thinks that eating celery, cucumber and salad with poached chicken and steamed vegetables means "oh, I know, let's put on a stone"
grr

so after a fortnight I gave up and went back to the chocolate biscuits. I thought 'if I'm gonna be fat, there's no point doing a half-assed job of it'

and my belly would be only too pleased to host your wedding, just don't invite any vegetarians

Egg · 30/10/2007 17:35

Nobody looks like a whale. Remember I have met you all (not counting LVOC if she is really joining us, but I have even seen her on tv so I KNOW EVERYONE).

No don't worry you have not missed the test. Fred it is nothing to worry about, just a glucose tolerance test as the time before last when they tested my wee it had a bit of sugar in, but I had actually, for about the second time in my pregnancy, had some full fat coke just before so am sure it was that as the wee was fine again a few weeks later. Anyway, I basically have to fast from 10pm on the Sunday night (11 Nov), and then go to hospital for 8:45 on Monday 12, then wee, then drink some glucose stuff, then wee, then wee in an hour, then another hour, then a third hour, then I can go home. If it shows I don't tolerate sugar well I may have gestational diabetes, but tbh I don't think I have, as it usually means big babies and I don't think they are very big. Who knows?? Anyway, the other girls said they would fast with me to make me feel better!!! I did say I was sure you would be delighted to join in . So it is not this coming Sunday night / Monday morning, but the following one.

Am in talks to buy a powertwin from a MNer at the mo. It is lovely, and she has two car seats with it too. Just unsure as it is the model before last, and I wanted the newest one, but it is still only from last year I think.

Was watching neighbours and saw that bit when the doc said "you mean you don't know" as though she was 8 months gone...

Dropdeadfred · 30/10/2007 18:32

Hmmm...I miss Neighbours in a weird brainless way...I think I got disillusioned when Dee never returned from the watery depths...

I'm so with you on the diet thing Squonk..and you're not fat either.
I just keep thinking today I'll eat what I want and be good as of tomorrow, but then something always happens to delay it so I have another really naughty day..and another and another...I'd be better of saying there was no start of being good and just relaxing about it all.

Egg, yep remind me and I'll fast with you too. Got my AF today so I know I won't be due to give birth on my wedding day at least.

ScottishMummy · 30/10/2007 18:49

o hello all you gorgeous orangey zappatas. god i haven't been here for yonks are you all well. whats the goss

egg - hows the double egg pregnancy goin - how far gone know

Egg · 30/10/2007 19:27

Hello SM , gosh it's nice to see some familiar faces back here this week.

Am now 26 weeks pregnant, I think, or is it 25. No, 26, and will be 27 on Saturday. All going well so far I HOPE....

Think I am very likely to buy the powertwin, as long as DH agrees too (which he will, as I am saving money buying second hand which will impress him). Did I mention on here that I wont get a double side by side through the door at nursery either, and do not want to have to faff about, in the rain and sleet, when trying to collect or drop off DS as I always take him up the stairs / collect him from upstairs and I can't leave them outside.

ScottishMummy · 30/10/2007 19:52

yes the logistics of twins must be making you dizzy.powertwin is really nice i like it
