I've lost it from my watched threads and can't find it by searching either, am I just being stupid?

OP posts:
Egg · 14/10/2007 20:40

Bloody hell. No response. I guess Squonk is out driving her new car round, Fred is busy browsing wedding dresses online and Marmite is on ebay flogging copies of her FIL's autograph .

He made the Tomblyboo house?????????? Am sooo impressed. Can he have it back when they finish filming? DS has gone off Night Garden since we went away it seems. He spent two weeks away saying "La La, Po, Noo Noo" over and over, sometimes with a bit of "Pa Pa Pa" (which translates as Postman Pat). TV in hotel was abominable for kids, but it meant it weaned him off it a bit as he was watching way too much before. First thing this morning though I put on an episode of Teletubbies for him and he was transfixed. Bless him.

Have put new pics on my profile for you. There is one of me from a few days ago, it was meant to show my bump but I am a bit far away and it is a bit dark. Will get a better one taken soon.

DoctorFrankenSquonk · 15/10/2007 08:18

EGGGGGG!!!!!!

welcome home

glad you had lovely hols - your pics of ds are so cute!!!! he's lovely and looks like he's having a fab time.

Can't see your bump on that pic (and you haven't outed yourself as I wouldn't recognise you if you were sitting next to me from that pic!)

We had a fab weekend - yesterday dp's school had a church parade (sounds very dull) which was excellent - I was welling up seeing all the boys in their uniforms marching to the church and on Saturday, we watched Morris dancers - it's years since I've seen any and I'd forgotten how much I enjoy watching them dance(sad muppet emoticon needed here)

dd2 has a cold so will not be going to nursery today but apart from the cough and the runny nose she seems ok in herself most of the time; but she's been in our bed, so no chance of a bfp in the near future

Egg · 15/10/2007 08:22

Phewee. Just saw your name on another thread I opened and thought you didn't love me any more . Your weekend sounds lovely, definitely not a sad muppet... I have morris dancers in my tummy .

DS also seems to be starting a cold, and it is foggy here. He is watching Bobinogs at the mo. There is a teeny baby on it.

Hope DD2 gets better soon. DS is still going to nursery. I am dreading the day he is too ill to go .

DoctorFrankenSquonk · 15/10/2007 08:24

as if I could not love you any more!!!!

I really should get back to them - they're watching lazytown on one of the music channels but I have tons to do today and not sure if dd2 will be ok playing or if I will need to sit on the settee with her soothing her fevered brow (not that it's fevered )

Dp off to see the Police tonight so am on my own with the kids all day (dd1 saw "POLICE" on calendar and wanted to know what he'd done wrong!)

Egg · 15/10/2007 10:58

Right, back from midwife, all is well, two strong heartbeats and size ok. Got to have a glucose tolerance test in four weeks which means NO EATING from 10pm the night before, and I wont get to eat again until about midday. Gulp .

Just booked car in for service next week, and have sorted electricity bill, now off to make DH's sarnies and then chores are done and I can relax with Fern and Phil til I go to get DS.

How is DD2 now Squonk? Are you wiping fevered brow or is she playing happily? Sorry I STILL forget, how often does she go to nursery on a normal week?

Police tonight! Your DP is very lucky. I wouldn't mind seeing a bit of Sting up close . LOL at DD1. Hope she doesn't have a guilty conscience! Don't tell her but I think I started drinking about her age! Tis shocking now when I think of it. Thunderbird and Diamond White from the offy .

DoctorFrankenSquonk · 15/10/2007 12:46

am not going to tell dd1 that if you don't mind

dd2 is playing very nicely which is good. Have done loads today, but I cleaned the breadmaker and broke it so am struggling to make bread now.

Good to see that the double yolkers are doing well. Why do you have to have the glucose intolerance test thingy? Is it standard?

We could all fast from 10pm till lunchtime the next day with you if it will make you feel better

Egg · 15/10/2007 13:25

Yes please if you all do it I will feel a lot better, and we can compare who is feeling worst... Am sure Fred and Marmite wont mind .

Glad DD2 is feeling ok. about breadmaker. Do you always make your own now (well before you broke it?). I am shocked at the amount of loaves you buy at supermarkets that have e-numbers in. Always make sure I get ones without but most of the brand ones have them.

Oooh, my toast has popped, off to make my ham and cheese sandwich [salivating emoticon].

Egg · 15/10/2007 13:36

Sorry forgot to say, I have to have the test as had a bit of sugar in wee at last test at hosp before we went away. None at all this morning, but better to be safe than sorry as they need to rule out gestational diabetes. To be honest i think it is cos I had a rare FAT COKE before weeing last time, and they said sugary drinks or snacks can make a big difference. Had nothing this morning except plain cereal and tea with no sugar.

DoctorFrankenSquonk · 15/10/2007 14:11

at sandwich - I have NO BREAD!!!!

yes, I always make my own nowadays, makes me feel like a real mummy

when I was pg with dd1 I had a craving for vanilla slices and had two for breakfast just before doing my sample for the mws they told me to bring another sample the next day which was fine, so you're probably right and it was the coke, but like you say, better safe than sorry.

Did you watch neighbours? wonder who they're going to kill off. Was trying to look at the new titles to see who was there and who wasn't but it all went a bit fast for me

Egg · 15/10/2007 14:45

Someone's going to die in Neighbours??!?!? Missed it today as was on MN and also looking for cheapest deal for double buggy. I hope they kill off Ringo, as if Carmella would ever find him attractive.

Impressed with bread. We had a no bread situation yesterday. It is awful. Toast is a great food for if DS needs a quick and not too unhealthy snack.

God, he is awake already, he only went to bed at 1:20. Very late for him. Now he is shouting "Muuuuummmeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee".

DoctorFrankenSquonk · 15/10/2007 15:03

I don't know if someone's going to die or not (and now I've spoiled it for you so it won't be a moment when you watch it at 5.35)

If you are going to watch it later, do not read on... move away from the thread.... nothing to see here...

well, they were all in the minibus on the way back from the wedding, singing songs and being generally very happy. Meanwhile, Mickey took his uncle's truck for a drive and being only 7 or whatever he is, he couldn't reach the brake, and the truck crashed into the minibus, then it went black and the theme tune came on!

In the minibus were: Toadie driving, Steph, Carmella, Ringo, Elle, Oliver, can't remember who else, but Janae forgot her handbag and went back inside so she wasn't in it.

anyway, back to reality...

DoctorFrankenSquonk · 15/10/2007 15:03

(and I forgot that you've been away for a fortnight, so you won't know who ANYBODY is in neighbours)

Egg · 15/10/2007 15:12

AHA! I did turn on tv at 2:04pm today and saw the little boy in the truck, but then wandered off so didn't see the crash. Someone is bound to die, if they were all singing etc it is just obvious. Either that or a coma or something.

Please let it be Ringo. Please let it be Ringo...

It wont be Toadie.

DoctorFrankenSquonk · 15/10/2007 15:14

nah, toadie's been in it since I was a kid! It can't be toadie.

It could be Carmella, then you'll have Ringo moping around for aaaaages (well, in neighbours terms, a couple of days)

Wonder what the significance of Janae not being there was?

Egg · 15/10/2007 15:15

BTW, DS went back to sleep it seems.

Wondering what to do for a Halloween name. I know flour and eggs are part of Halloween, ie schoolkids throw eggs and flour at people, or at your house if you don't give them £50 when they come trick or treating, but want a better way of getting Egg into a Halloween theme.

DoctorFrankenSquonk · 15/10/2007 15:16

hmm... will give it some thought.

glad ds went back to sleep - tis unusual for him not to have a huge kip in the middle of the day, isn't it

Egg · 15/10/2007 15:17

Hmm, I reckon the significance of Janae not being in the bus is that she will go all funny talking about how fate stopped her being killed etc etc.

Has she got it on with Ned yet?

I did watch Neighbours once on hols as DS was asleep and DH was at the gym and we had BBC1. It was Thursday or Friday, with the hen and stag do at the hotel, and way too much of Carmella and Ringo kissing - bleeurrggh.

Egg · 15/10/2007 15:20

Yesterday he slept for three hours and we had to wake him up, but he has been averaging 1.5 to 2 hours lately. Wont let him sleep much longer, really want to go to swings but it looks very dark out there.

Where are Fred and Marmite??????

marmitemad · 15/10/2007 17:44

Hellooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Glad you had a good holiday, Egg. love your pics although can't see the bump properly. maybe we should try to plan a get together soon?

Busy day yesterday visiting family and drinking wine so too tired to log on last night.

I always used to watch neighbours while getting dinner ready in the evening but dd has her tea at 5:30pm now so is difficult to keep track, will definately have it on in background tonight though.

does anyone know who got shot in eastenders on Friday, don't really watch it but missed the ending while unpacking the food shopping and feeling really annoyed.

dd went to cm this afternoon for settling in, didn't miss me one bit which I suppose is sort of good. I went swimming and shopping, had to eat a choc doughnut to keep up my strength .

can't think how to halloweenify my name and would love to make my own bread, might ask for a machine for xmas? although have also just inherited MIL old sewing machine so need to go on a course to get started.

I had to have a GTT after my 12 week blood test showed high sugar, I had just drunk a pint of OJ+lemonade but they still insisted.
I had to fast and drive to reading hospital, wait 45min for initial blood test, have the special drink and then wait 2 hours for 2nd blood test. I didn't get to eat/drink anything until 12noon and felt awful. sorry thats not really what you wanted to hear but I think its a good idea for all of us to do it as well so we can compare awfulnesss (although I will be back at work so will have to try and log in from there). what date is the test?

I remember thunderbird.................... although I never got into diamond white

marmitemad · 15/10/2007 18:12

and I have won 2 tickets to the baby show from plum baby food

OP posts:
DoctorFrankenSquonk · 15/10/2007 21:02

egg - look here

marmite - good to have you back glad dd settled ok at the cm - that's good, even if it doesn't feel like it, it means that you have brought her up to be confident and secure

am about your tickets

dd2 has been nagging to watch eastenders to see who got shot, but it was on at the same time as University Challenge and it does make me feel intellectual when I can understand the odd question so any info you can give me about enders would be much appreciated by dd1

marmitemad · 15/10/2007 21:13

I love University challenge and compete with dh to answer the questions before they do .

had to watch enders, jane got shot although they made it look like it was ian, she had to have surgery and it ended on a cliffhanger with the drs looking for ian to discuss something.....

OP posts:
marmitemad · 15/10/2007 21:14

I also have a bit of a facebook scrabble/sudoku addiction starting, does anyone like playing scrabble?

OP posts:
Egg · 16/10/2007 08:29

Ahh I had a big Sudoku addiction when DS was smaller and I would spend hours with my book of them. DH even got me a Sudoku mag the day I gave birth and wanted something to read in hosp but never found time while I was there!

Saw Enders last night. Wonder if Jane will die.

DS being a PITA today. Have to go again now. Back later.

DoctorFrankenSquonk · 16/10/2007 08:43

marmite - I LOVE scrabble.

Not very good at it yet, everyone keeps beating me, but if you want a game, I'll give you one.

My mum told me not to ever start Sudoku because I will get addicted.... she was right! I do the one in the paper every day and have been known to buy the odd book or two. I love crosswords as well.

DD2 completely better now. Hope ds doesn't get it.

Ds woke up this morning before everyone else and I could hear him singing to himself for about half an hour before he shouted for me - twas very cute indeed
